Early Morning Walk During Heavy Rainfall in the Village of Compton Abdale

- So, today we are out and about walking in the Cotswold village and parish of Compton Abdale which is located in Gloucestershire, England. The village is located about 4 miles west of Northleach. According to the 2011 census the village has a population of 125.
At the top of a very steep hill is located the Church of St. Oswald's. The church dates back to the 13th century. It is decorated with Gargoyle Heads.
A pretty little brook flows through the village which emerges from a crocodile head, due to the heavy rain on the day of this walk there is a very good flow of water gushing from the head. The brook eventually joins The River Coln.
It was after this walk that the new camera started fogging up on the inside of the lens, which is seen on the next walk (Airing on Sunday 26th Nov).

What a lovely occurrence on our Thanksgiving morning in the USA, to find that a new walk was posted- and a rainy one, at that! (Nothing against sunshine, but there is a special pensive and peaceful quality about rainy days). We delivered some Thanksgiving dinners this morning and will have a meal with family later, but in the interval at home, watching this pleasant walk is such a nice addition to the holiday! I thank God for His blessings, and one of the multitude is the beauties of nature- which are so wonderfully featured and displayed on your walks. It’s also fun to see an area so far from home, and learn facts about it. Thanks for posting this. (With all the wet walks you are filming, I hope you have a good pair of rain boots- or “wellingtons”, as I believe they are called in the UK). : )

I love how you stop to look at things like red berries on a tree branch or a minuscule pumpkin on someone's porch. However, when we get to a fork in the road and I say, "Oh look!Turn left.", I wish you would mind me. (My cat wonders who I'm talking to.) THANK YOU for all the beautiful walks.

At about 19 minutes in, I loved the footage of the drainage system running alongside the steps. What a great idea, and so pretty too. I love drainage. I live on a farm and have to manage my own drains. I’m always keen to see how other people do things.

Quite the wet and soggy walk. Cold and windy too? Hopefully you wore your wellies. Otherwise you could get a socks soaker. Was a very pleasurable walk. Liked the waterfall down the stone steps, unique and ran into the stream by the roadside. Lots of bright red berries, colourful trees . Was a heck of a runoff/ waterfall at the crossroads!

Thanks Bruce :). It was a bit windy at times and cold throughout as I had already got wet cycling into the village prior to filming. I was glad to get back home & changed. A very lush and refreshing walk, OAAW. You outdo yourself with these videos. I see Compton Abdale is surrounded by fields and farmland, it would make a great route for a bike ride through the countryside. I hope you had a warm cuppa afterwards. @@OutandaboutWalking Hi OAAW. I hope you had on some good, waterproof attire on that ride in to Compton Abdale. In my opinion a stationary perspective of the countryside on either a bicycle or car wouldn't be as appealing as drone shots. Granted drones do cost quite a pretty penny and the file sizes are quite cumbersome. Just my thoughts though. Hope you're having a great weekend.
Love all the old houses and stones fences that have survived hundreds of years. So quiet and peaceful. Where I live is fairly new and modern and rush, rush, rush. Its fun to think about all the different eras that have lived there and imagine what their transportation was like and the clothing of the times

Heavy 🌧️, sounds like a family of 🐿️ tap dancing atop your brella, 🤔who could they be.... Ready for winter, barns crammed with hay rolls. Your farm videos be the MOST fun, Sir🕶️. I grew up in the middle of family owns and still by golly, hundreds of miles away I'm still surrounded; twasnt planned, twas Captain of me destiny vessel's idea. He's so COOL! Those field barns all ratty, rundown, well used are me favorites, some empty, some full of yesteryear tools all a'rusting, a legacy of generations of hard labors. All the men in me dad's family have burnt faces with snow white teeth a'smiling and also leathered arms attached to broad shoulders. Like me hubby, who's a farmer of sorts, gotta harvest the fossil fuels to make speakers, electric blankets, fishing boats, candles, water pipes, hand lotion, inks, guitar strings, crayons, artificial limbs, aspirin.... umbrellas. I uh felt unusual atop the hill at the church looking down at the parishioners, especially with gargoyles breathing on me neck🥺; a traditional I never could wrap me brain around😳. Yet, that was an interesting experience, kudos to the ancient builders on this one. Thanks for investigating it! What else will we find...in Cotswold 🧐.

Will it supercede the walking channel into nevermore? I ask as am close enough now to engine other new probers of this channel who puruse comments may not understand if you are adding or superceding.
@jaclynmwvasquez I'm not sure it will supercede it but I think it may challenge it but then you never know it could be a total flop. We would need to give it at least 3 months to get an idea of how it is performing. With OAAW I kept screenshoting every so often (just had a look back), it took about 6 weeks to reach 100 subs which in reality is pretty damn good as some channels could struggle to reach 100 in 12 months. Although the new channel will have a bit of an advantage as I will definitely be using this channel as leverage to get it out there. Sorry to keep going on about it, but to say I'm excited about it is an understatement! I literally cannot stop watching what I have already started to produce which is actually slowing me down in the long run 😅
