- It's time for one of our favorite destinations which is Royal Caribbean's Perfect Day at Coco Cay. This was the busiest we've personally ever seen CocoCay and i can imagine it can get much worse as we only had 2 ships in Port today. Today we explore the Oasis Lagoon, the largest pool at sea and also the South Beach area of the island that features a swim up bar.

My wife and I are a little older than you 2, but when we were there in September, we rented a Day Bed at Chill Island. Totally relaxing! Wait staff take your drink orders, food nearby. Rental includes floaties. It was a highlight of the trip.
That sounds like a dream!!! When we go to coco cay we love to just chill and relax! ❤

Honestly royal did a great job with this island it’s so fun and there’s not a bad spot on the island.

Perfect day cococay is the best island. Have you tried the beach club? Yes there is an upgraded cost however they cap amount of people plus lunch is amazing. Lots of gluten free options at this restaurant! This January the new adult’s section opens and cannot wait to take a day in there as well. Enjoy & great content..
Beach club gets my vote too!
We are so excited to try the adults area next time!
We also want to try the beach club too! The only thing we would never likely do is the cabanas, they’re just wayyyy too expensive for us!

Balleros was my favorite after dinner place as I loved the Ginger Cooler
We love Baleros so much! They make a mean martini haha! Plus the music is usually amazing! ❤
We did the Coco Cay Beach Club there. It was little expensive but it was adults only and they have a pool and a lot of chairs for the beach part!! You also get a lunch there as part of the beach club package! (steak or lobster tails etc) I think we would do the beach club again for sure!!! Only bad part is since Freedom was there before us they were off their ship before us and they got the pick of the beach beds. There are like 6 or 8 beds in that area. There are many beach chair to choice from though. We did notventure out to other parts of the island during the day. On the way back to the ship we did walk through the merchants area and had to check out the bridge with the great view of both the Freedom and the Oasis together!! Its been so awesome re-living our first cruise through your vlogs of those seven days!! I can remember clearing sitting in a beach chair there at Perfect Day and remembering how hot and nice it was that day as I watch your video!!! LOL You two are awesome!!!! Thank you for the memorys of these days during our cruise!!!!

I think the freedom was there before us as well, and we did have a similar problem where all the good chairs were already taken. We will definitely try it at least once just to show everyone what it’s all about but yes I would agree. The pricing is a little steep.

Went with 8 or so friends and we all became big fans of the toasted marshmallow at the Schooner.
Agreed! Even I liked it, it wasn’t too aggressive, that marshmallow syrup made it easy to drink!

We just got off this cruise this past Sunday and it was amazing we loved it so much we booked a back to back in 80 days from today. Food was awesome the staff was amazing the ports were all great we had great weather but they did cancel our dolphin experience and duns river falls tour for no apparent reason in Jamaica. 3 night dining package was great except for Giovannis Italian restaurant was a bust. No authentic Italian food on the menu and the food they did offer was just general staple foods in a pizza restaurant. Not one Italian person working in Giovannis i asked if the chef was Italian they told us no he was an asian fellow. Felt weird no Italian music no nothing Italian just the name. Imagine going into a Chinese restaurant and four Italian guys come over to greet you and say rosa been in the kitchen all day cooking up some great egg foo young! That was the feeling we got. Would give them a 1 star rating. Stay away unless you like domino's pizza then you'll probably love Giovannis. The Hibatchi grill was great too. We lost a couple thousand in the casino that hurt but was still fun. Not many kids but the pools were impossible to get a chair if you went up after 10am. Tons of chair hogs everywhere. We moved like 3 peoples stuff from daybeds that left there crap out there at 5am and went back to bed. We gave there crap to the towel returns. Lots of people were taking off chair hogs stuff and putting their stuff on the floors and like 2 hrs later they would come down and see other people in the beds they tried to hog up..staff said they had no problem with us taking off their stuff if it was vacant more then 1hr.
Ya sadly the chair hoggers are a problem! The rule is 30 mins or your stuff can be removed, so that’s fair!
We always wake up really early claim a chair then go grab a coffee and then go back. Then we grab snacks or drinks in shifts so our stuff isn’t left unattended.
I like Giovanni’s, I also can’t be too picky because of my celiac but they offer GF pasta so I’m happy. But I know what you mean.
I’d give it another shot because the food is usually really good!
Too bad about your excursion it’s always tough when stuff gets cancelled like that.
But we’re glad you had great weather and a great vacation!!

@kala-ryanandkala Thank you Kala. I hope so to. We love royal caribbean it's one of our favorites. Maybe some day we'll see you on one never know and get a drink...yes for sure we'll give them another try. This time around were on the Wonder of the seas so maybe different chefs I hope 🤞

I agree, It’s pretty foolproof! And it’s kind of fun! You can also make your own custom drink if you don’t like the pre made options!

"Wild boys" or "time to rest"

Honestly we always have a blast on the smaller ships! We loved the majesty and jewel of the seas. But there’s something to be said about the bigger ships too! There’s just so much to do it’s crazy. I’d recommend trying one out but the smaller ships have a charm that the bigger ones just don’t have.

We liked jewel of the seas, and I know freedom isn’t small but it’s our favourite medium sized ship
been waiting for the next video :D We went to CocoCay for the first time in April. We loved it! I did the waterpark and was really lucky we were the only ship there with the anthem and i never had one single line i walked through every time. My better part did a chill island day for the whole time and she loved it too. So it was a overall great time. We actually walked the same way to south beach just to explore it and it was a great time (actually a chicken followed us this whole way :D)
Yes we had a chicken too. We always see chickens there! They’re pretty friendly!
That’s the greatest part of cococay is if someone wants to do the thrill waterpark and someone wants to relax there’s something for everyone.

Ryan and I were joking about the first time we went to CocoCay. There was literally nothing there except some beach chairs, and now it’s this mega resort it’s crazy to see how far it’s come.

My Gosh that pool at CocoCay was insane. Imagine when Icon is docked there with other ships. Definitely not my vibe for sure. Btw, love all your vlogs 👍🏼

Ya it depends on your mood and what kind of vibe you’re looking for. The side of the pool we sit on is a bit farther away from the swim up bar so it’s not as crazy and busy.
I love watching your videos... may I ask what is your favorite Caribbean port and why?
Wow, This is a tough one…
I have 2 possible answers here:
If you mean just the port area and not leaving to do an excursion we would say curaçao, San Juan, cococay.
Curaçao because they have an adorable little town, beautiful water and lots of shops just a few minutes walk from the port.
San Juan because it’s stunning to walk around, old cobble stones, lots of history and shopping and very walkable. You could do most of the island in 1 day.
Cococay because you don’t need to do anything once you’re there, just have a great time! Lots of choices for whatever mood you’re in.
If you mean our overall favourite islands in the Caribbean:
St kitts, Barbados, the ABC islands (Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao) are probably the best ones we have done!
We had amazing tours there, the islands are clean and beautiful with lots to do and see.

The Beach club is our go to spot. Learned that the hard way when we did not book it for last week.
We need to check out the beach club! I remember when it was like $50 now it’s way more, we should have gone when it was cheaper lol (kicking self)

Ya there’s usually a few kids in the oasis lagoon pool, if no kids is your vibe I’d say you’ll love the new adults only area they’re building! Guaranteed the coco locos will be flowing nicely there!! 🍹

South Beach was are favorite part
It was so cool! I can’t believe we have been to coco cay like 5 or 6 times and never done south beach! Granted the first 2 times we went to cococay it didn’t look like it does now haha!
We will definitely be going back to south beach again! Great vibes and calm water!

I actually got it from AliExpress it's got metal in the brim so you can bend it. It's a great hat, it's not super fashionable haha but it does the job!

You go to excursions and you can do the same for Labadee (when there going there) I found it was really nice for $9 and you can share with whomever so I passed it between myself, husband, five year old and mother in law.

When is the best time to go on this not a huge fan of humidity coming from dry weather?
It depends where you’re going, in the Caribbean the less humid times of the year are generally from November (after hurricane season ends) to April/May.
I’m also not a fan of humidity lol, we’re from Canada and our summers are super humid.

We liked Atlantis a lot! We went in May last year - we actually have a vlog about it in our enchantment of the seas series if you want to see it! Ryan gives all sorts of secrets in that video on how to get a good deal and save a lot of money on Atlantis!

We were here in early September (I believe the week of the 10th)
Water was a nice temp both in the pools and ocean. November may be a bit cooler but definitely should still be swimmable. We have been here in November before years ago and still swam!

Yeah, they have basically doubled to tripled the prices in Playmakers. (Thank you new RCI President) I hope they enjoy the short term profits because they have priced me out of everything that is not complimentary now. Royal has really gone downhill since February. It's a shame.

We did notice some definite changes in terms of the food prices and portions. We usually try to stick to the free options as well but also want to show you all what’s offered and if it’s worth the hype.
The cost of drinks is really shocking to us, the drink package is basically more expensive than the cruise itself!
All the extras and add ons can make cruising unaffordable unfortunately.
When you guys were deciding which towel animal you got, and you both said, "It's a hanging monkey."
I said, "No way, it's *gotta* be an elephant!"
