Hey guys! Antstream is an awesome and promising retro gaming service that I’m really enjoying. Want to thank them again for sponsoring the video. Check them out aarca.de/myretrolife
Nahhhhhhhh….
I played Metal Slug in the arcade recently and I loved it, it gave me serious Contra vibes.
It was a huge hit with us back in the day!
aw man Tyler we oldies will never have times like these again, i wasnt a NES guy like you my parents started me out on Sega Master system and then Megadrive (Genesis in the US, Megadrive is the uk name ) i loved Sega and sonic i couldnt get enough as a kid , good times
Mega Drive in Japan too.
Well done on hitting the 100k! Love this channel and binged lots of your videos, brings back alot of nostalgic memories for me, thank you for the great content my man
Awesome! Thank you!
I'm loving the appreciation for Cadash. It's a true hidden gem.
Thank you as always for taking us back
Congrats on the 100K! Love to see it!
It is a Universal fact. That our childhood selves would likely kick our adult hood asses at any games.
This is not true in my case. I'm way better at games now than I was then. Like, leaps and bounds better. There are exceptions of course, but as a whole I am a much better gamer now. More patient
@@silveredgrunion7196 same. i hardly finished games as a kid.. now i look for difficult games to challenge me.
Congrats on hitting 100k Tyler, been a fan since 2019. Keep up the amazing work 🎈🎈🎉🎉🙂🙏
Thanks so much man
Will try that Antstream soon! 🤘THANKS FOR THIS NEW VIDEO!
Damn im early! Congrats on 100k bro . Ive never met you but im proud of you man. You're channel has entertained and helped so many people. You deserve it! Long live my retro life! . (Still waiting for a aunt Michelle interview) lol🇬🇧👊
Thank you Harry! That means a lot.
@@MyRetroLife no problem at all bro! Your dad would be so proud!
Zombies Ate My Neighbors is superior on SNES! 👾
One of the best soundtracks IMO.
100 percent agree
I got the the final stage of Star Wars when I was a kid once too. It was super hard!
A well deserved 100k subs. Your channel means a lot to me because my life was very similar to yours, my dad was a big gamer but he passed away when I was 17.
Great video! Im playing Gunbird right now. Thanks!
Gunbird is AMAZING i discovered it in a VR app Arcade Time Capsule, then noticed i had it on my multicade, i beat it like 5 times now lol, the sequel a few times too. Really good shmup with goofy endings.
The ZX Spectum (or speccy as we call it) is a British institution with SO many amazing games. Manic Miner, Jet Set Willy, Batman The Movie & Robocop are definitely ones to play if available. I still have my spectrum to this day 😃
I’m VERY interested in discovering more ZX Spectrum games.
ZAMN is one of the best co-op games of all time. We got it as an Easter gift in either 1994 or 1995 (can't remember exactly). My brothers, sister and I used to play it all the time.
Awesome video, Tyler! Antstream seems like a really awesome service - I'll be checking it out...I mean, you can't go wrong with Metal Slug and Growl! Congratulations on 100K! Well earned!
Just came across your channel from the UA-cam Shoutout! I’ll be staying!
Congratulations Tyler! 👏 Another great video! 👍
Thank you!
I love Zombies Ate My Neighbors! Very original game that stood the test of time! I need to try some of these games you listed here! 100k absolutely deserved, you earned every single one with your amazing channel, Tyler!
Thanks man!
Congratulation Tyler I am so happy to see you hit 100k we will support you till you hit 1million❤❤❤❤
Great picks!
Thanks!
Metal Slug has so much charm it's ridiculous. I love the whole series. 3 is my personal favorite.
Kinda curious what games Mom & Dad enjoyed that you didn’t Tyler. Could you possibly do a video on the subject someday? Maybe even get Mom on camera again to talk about some of her memories playing those games.
Congrats...keep up!
Sonic Blastman 2 on SNES is a great hidden gem.
My Cousin and I used to sneak down in the middle of the night to play Mario 3. Loved playing 8 Eyes, because we somehow never had Castlevania. But it's basically the same thing. Contra we would play through over and over. Sonics...Streets of Rage's to Twisted Metal's, first The Need For Speed's to the first Resident Evil. Endless memories and games I still play to this day.
Really glad I found your channel a cpl months ago, always love your content, and you helped me put a name to a game I have been looking for since the 90s (Dragon Power on NES) love your attitude too..if you ever play PSVR 1 or 2 reach out. Would love to game w ya sometime 🤘🏻😈🎮
avp was awesome game it was one of the four snes games i got when i first got my snes. when i got my snes in 94 on bday i didnt want it so when my dad too me to toy r us and i saw xardion and avp i brought both didnt think twice about.
I love ant stream also and I'm glad ur happy with the service rock on with classic gaming Tyler
Please try The Long Drive on Steam. It’s about driving multiple vehicles, stopping at buildings to get stuff, fighting just a few enemies and surviving. The areas are desert, snowy and grassy areas.
I used to play Zombies Ate My Neighbors back in the day with my best friend at the time. Furthest we got was level 41. I've got it again now. Best I can make solo is level 31.
I agree i love metal slug, one of my all time favorites!
I grew up very close to where you did, around the same time (I've seen enough from your videos), and I know EXACTLY what you're talking about with the breakfast restaurant with the train :)
Oh wow! You remember Champs? That’s incredible
@@MyRetroLife haha, I wasn't gonna say it. College buddy worked there until they went out of business several years ago!
Galaga 88!! One of my favs!!!
Metal slug is one of my all time favorites also I really like the sequels but I have a soft spot for 1. My dad got the import for Saturn for me too
I love arcade games!

Wow, I need to check this service, playing all those gems with a X controller has to be amazing
Those animals belong in a museum!
Best gaming channnelllll!!!!!
C64 had some amazing music for its games the last ninja etc pure class
I've always wanted to play "Zombies ate my neighbors". Now Is about Time to play it on Endstream service. Your top 10 rocks. I hope they have the Robocop arcade games and Robocop vs. The Terminator for the SEGA Genesis.
Looking for a peace keepers copy now 🎉
Gg bro great video
Did you live in the Philly area? Was the reateraunt Rib-It? Had green frog cups?
Love me some Peacekeepers
Also thank you for showing me AntStream! 30$ for a year on gamepass. Definitely Definitely worth it for me. Anyway… now I’m going to finish the video. 😊
i like antstream but i got retroarch in dev mode i got over 10,000 old school games! on my xbox series s arcade snes nes n64 playstation and more! also i can stream and play online
Cadash and Galaga 88 are classics on the turbografx for sure. I was never a big arcade fan, so I'm not sure if I would be able to pick 10 from antstream. I'm guessing it doesn't have final fight or bubble bobble on it.
Bubble Bobble yes!
I got this it's great fun, I'm from 🇬🇧 and amiga is best home computer
The first 3 Tomb Raider games are getting remastered in a trilogy soon.
18:44 i like it 🧟♂🔼
I remember the empire ep2 stars wars game ( I had only seen return of jedi at that point n didn't even kno luke had a blue saber, I found that out in this game lol). I just recently watched a playthrough and realized that at 6 or 7 years old I'd never seen anything past the 1st 2 levels LOL. which was the story of my life with 80% of snes games.. back then they needed to justify the 40-50 dollar game that was probably barely a hour long realistically thru n thru, n justify they did with MASSIVE difficulty!!no saves, if the game wanted to be "nice" it would give passwords for levels but the the really difficult games didn't offer that luxury.. sometimes when they did offer a password it would be timed at like 5 or 10 seconds, giving u barely enough time to write them down!..it was alot harder than kids today may realize because the password would be lil sprites or pictures of animations, and most of us cannot draw the animation, and spelling out the description of the animation took too much time!! Especially when there were 4-8 characters at times.. just imagine a four character password n it's a sprite of a ghost, raven, monkey, sword.. we wouldn't have the time to spell out the characters n would have to get creative, we would be lucky if there were repeated characters as most if us had a symbol or word to shortcut "repeats:. I kno what im talking about makes zero sense to a kid nowadays but Tyler im sure knows the pain. There is one game in particular I LOVED as a kid that I dnt think iv ever seen u mention. That game being "X-men: mutant apacaplypse".. i have this specific memory of being really upset it was a single player game up to the point where I made my mother drive me back to KB toys so I can ask the store clerk to MAKE IT INTO A 2 PLAYER GAME! LOL..little kid logic at its finest right there..my mother being Korean and not at all knowledgeable about tech or games had my back and asked the store clerk "why?" Store clerk-"it's just not possible maam" mom to me-"they can't change the game into 2 player" me-"wahhhhj".. but then when the dust settled and I came back to my senses, I played the game and it was "MIMD BLOWN". It's the closest u could ever be at the time to being wolverine, gambit, cyclops ect.. the way when u play as wolverine u could climb up walls with his claws, fight sentinals!! It was jus epic!! so much so that I completely forgot that I wanted, no.. DEMANDED it be converted into a multi-player title!! that game and batman return (based on the Burton film) made me feel like I was a superhero.. there are just those certain games that transport u back into a 90s living room, sitting way too close to the box tv and those 2 games along with some honorable mentions (super Mario world, mortal kombat, double dragon and battle toads, toy story, alladin, lion king) its wither the games that made u feel like u were the character, and the other big thing waa MUSIC!! The music in those older games literally hypnotize and brings u back into a nostalgia mind trip that quite frankly makes u long for the simpler, "better" times..
Zombies ate my neighbors on snes is in my top 5 all time. The music is on another level.
It’s also on Genesis
I see ZAMN in the thumbnail, I click and I leave a like. Plain and simple 🥰
This feels like one long ad read
Yay😊
I own super star wars on snes. I use my game genie with only the unlimited lives code to actually beat it .
Your favorite Mario games Super Mario RPG is getting a remake dude!
hey congrats bro but i know this channel is called retro life but can you do videos of the mordern days like the switch series x and ps5
Hmmm maybe 🤔
Hey Tyler
I live in Scotland 🏴 and had a zx spectrum
All I'm gonna say is don't get too excited as it's was crap lol
Haha 😂 that’s too bad. Thanks Gary
Cool hair
Nothing for Ps4 i presume right? 😅
Idk bro, just seems like emulation with extra steps to me, lol. I guess if you care about those rewards and points and stuff, then this would be worth it.
For some strange reason I'm a VIP on there. 🤷♂
Says you've been publicly subbed for two years! :-)
@@MyRetroLife I've been subbed for two years but I start as a free play user. When I paid to join they made me a VIP so not sure what that's about. Cool you found me, I didn't know I could be found so easily. 👍
Erg "consoles like the zx spectrum the c64 and the amiga" no those are not consoles those are home computers
I had gunbird and I loved it. I’m assuming you completed it using continues? I certainly wouldn’t call it easy to 1CC.
$80 for a lifetime of Antstream?! .........what's the catch?
Hey, what are the worst games you ever played?
Its not brand new liar !, i been at Anstream for several years.
Don't support these streaming services. If these take off, people will really own less and less.
The Retro Gaming market is so inflated price wise. Services like this help people play retro games in a legit way (this is not piracy) without having to spend thousands of dollars.
why not? isn't antstream free with ads?
@@MyRetroLife
Very few people collect retro physical anymore (the market is just outrageous) so that's not a valid reason. And 90% of gamers use emulators guilt free for that reason.
Why would I pay for Antstream (or use it free with ads) when community made emulators and roms are easy to use/find for everyone? AND they have much less input lag and represent the game more faithfully.
Also, if Anstream doesn't have the games you want, you're going to emulate them anyways.
I hope this isn't the focus of the channel for the future.
Silly comment, most of these games are only available through emulators
I own physical copies, but streaming is nice when I don’t feel like setting up my consoles
