Fantastic!!! Great opening video for starting off season four. Videography was absolutely fabulous. Cat's a lucky one now still has 8 lives to go. Living the life of a dream you all are and enjoy it as much as you can . Sail safe
Did better than I thought watching with the cell tower. Only stopped twice. Wonderful smooth times to heavy waves sail Best of both, but you made it. Love the engineering of the new awesome Highfield & the geography lessons with Noah. Very top end editing Ross & hosting by Laura. 👍💯♥️🎦🇬🇷
Just a fabulous start to a new season. 🎉🎉🎉 Captain, First Mate and crew look refreshed, alive and eager. First rate guys‼️😊 See you next time. ✨ 🌊 💨 ⛵️ 🏝️ 👙 🌞 ✨
Love following your groovy family through your sailing adventures in the Greek islands. Beautiful stories, cool photography and well thought out editing. Poor kitty, groovy dolphins. Hot mom, far out kids and a Captain that I am sure was an English pirate during the 18th Century. He's just that cool. Stay safe and stay groovy.
Another grate season and another amazing episode !!!! I absolutely love the education the boys are getting out there, they will learn so much more being involved in a teaching lesson than just sitting and listening from a broken record teacher.. I think the kitty needs a pair of fins now !!!! Lmao 😂 I love you guys !!!!! Be safe !!!!
Another amazing and inspiring video guys! I think I've spotted a little glimpse of Kefalonia in your new intro 😉. Fingers crossed you might make a visit to Assos when we're there in August... we'd happily buy the whole crew a drink! 😀
So happy to follow you for a new season. We just got back from a week long bareboat Leopard 45 charter around Corfu and Paxos. You guys were a big influence on us choosing our first European sail to be go to Greece.
Bare boat chartered a while back out of Paros, visiting Folagandros, Ios, Santorini, and Antiparos. All great but the favorite was the bay on the south side of Antiparos with Captain Peppino’s taverna on the beach.
Good advice ross, about using engines in a houlex. Dont forget if in line of sight hand signals can be usefull instead of shouting. Been using them at sea thousands of years. Your photographic work is pretty good very colourfull.
Yep we’ve done Mykonos to Ikaria few times now - shorter crossing but stronger wind - again we picked a good window each time. Issue with south of Amorgos - you get very strong catabatic blows meaning you can be sailing along at 15kt and then be broached by 35….been there done that luckily nothing broke. Sailing much further south is actually recommended but not ideal when you’re heading for the ‘gold’ of those islands south of Naxos so we picked a great window and went for it.
We just crossed the southern Aegean from Marmaris, Turkey to Lefkada, Greece, going around the Peloponnese. The Meltemi was 20 to 35 knots day and night, giving us some great sailing. Beating into it as we had a fishing net wrapped in our prop. 35 to 45 knots from Pilos to Zakinthos from the SE, we averaged 8.6 knots 😀⛵️
We can attest to Amorgos. Were on our way from Schinousa to Kalymnos in May 2023, wanted to go South of Amorgos to get some protection from the wind. 2 Bft was predicted and all of a sudden at Amorgos we had 10 Bft. Found shelter on the West side of the island, had to stay there for 5 days before we could continue to Kalymnos. The Aegean is not for fun sailing, one moment it is nice and calm, next moment you are in a storm and seeking for shelter. If you don't know what you are doing you could be in serious trouble, i.o.w. if you are a novice sailor, the Aegean is not for you.
That is 100% accurate description of how it feels to sail there - not everyone is suited to that kind of sailing but we understand equally it’s fun for the more seasoned sailors with boats suited to it or perhaps less dependants on board or for shorter periods of time but as liveaboards with children, work responsibilities & the desire to live year round this way we have found the Ionian to be much more favourable and far less exhausting 😂. It was fun whilst it lasted though! ❤️🫶🏼🦋
i came across a couple of your presentations during the lockdown i did not subscribe for some stupid reason however i have just made ammends on that cheers folks

Great video again, on subtitles... didn't know we had a Cornish canal in Greece xx
Subtitles are Laura’s job - she types the lot! Maybe she put that there on purpose to see if you are paying attention….haha🙄🫣🤣

Few years ago follow the boat had a boat cat who regularly went for a swim they made a chunky line for her to climb back aboard welcome Ronie
Thrilling ❤❤
Hi guys, welcome back. What's wrong about sailing south of Amorgos? Just wait till you do the Myconos - Ikaria passage...lol

Oh wow! That’s nuts! But once you’ve encountered the meltemi it’s not hard to imagine! 🤙⚓️⛵️
@SailingHollyBlue thats great for us, so good sailing ⛵️ 😀 . We are 53 feet and 20 tonnes, so we like a bit of wind
Wow what an awesome adventure ❤

Great editing … you won’t believe this but I was in the process of asking if the cat ever went swimming just as you told your wife that story!
Haha! Jinx!! ❤️🫶🏼🦋
The channel is really very entertaining, thank you! I have a question, is your boat a Bavaria 43 ? Year of manufacture?
She’s a 2009 42ft Bavaria 🦋
Let us know when you're in Australia we would love to meet fellow boat families ❤ our kids and dogs would love it too 😅❤
That would be awesome! Not sure the cats will be so keen though hahaha!! 🫶🏼🦋⚓️
@@SailingHollyBlue yeah our cat used to be very territorial 😅

Hello 👋
How do you ballast the boat back to normal? With the solar arch and the 140 kilo dingy on the back?
Safe sails
Our 33kg Rocna mk2 with 100m of 10mm chain along with the water maker built underneath in the v-berth works well.
Emeğinize sağlık teşekkür ederiz.
Iyi sezonlar dilerim lütfen kediye çok dikkat edin.

This is very true! Thankyou! 🦋
Corinth canal re opened unfortunately too late 😅
Why was Corinth Canal closed?
Maintenance work due to slides.
Now it's open
Have you had any issues with Killer Whales? I heard a number of Killer Whales have been attacking sailboats.
Nope and we haven’t heard of anyone else having that issue around (Greece anyways) either!
🙏🏻...
Hey guys 🇺🇲👍🇺🇲⛵⚓⛵
The water is so clear it looks like the dolphins are flying above it 😮
It stills gives us goosebumps watching it back! Incredible moment 🦋

On a boat I wouldn't use swimsuits and other clothes.
