We're heading to southern Italy in late April, can't wait. I'm not much of a street photographer, but your vlogs are very inspiring and I'll try my best to experiment and have some fun!
Ok...... I love love love what you said from 7:13 to 8:50. It is EXACTLY what I needed to hear. I hit Japan in 3 weeks and I want to get MY shots.... Not copy THEIR shots. Cheers legend.
7:50 never feel pressured, photography is art and art is subjective not everyone is going to like it no matter what. ex: 7:30 I would photograph that guy standing at the take-out with the fliers off to the right, slightly out of focus for the bokeh effect but to you that wasn't what you were after.
This is a fun way to shoot. I live in NYC and used to use the same approach with A7C + 24-105/4. Flip screen squat is a deeply underused trick ha. Nowadays I'm on a twelve year old Leica and a single prime lol. No wrong way to hit the streets. Nice shots 💪
@@Opticalwander I've got an original Q as my backup and vacation camera. I love that little bastard. Zone focus and autofocus in a single lens on the go? YEESSSIR.
It is heavy and I know when it’s in the bag but the range is worth the weight tbh. My normal kit bag is 16-35 35-150 so between two lenses I have 16-150 where as I use to have the 12-24,24-70,70-200 so I’ve actually lost weight in the bag overall.
While the range is good. It still Depends how you like the weight and size. In crowded places the 35-150 or 70-200 can be abit cumbersome and you appear “loud” in the crowd or street because lens is long. Also it depends if you dont mind not having f1.4 or 1.8 of prime for eg. So it really depends on the user. No perfect set up just set up that works better for you. Everyone is different.
Such cool pics. You do a great job with these videos. Keep it up!
Loved this, its inspiring how much you can get out of a walk around a new city if you just look. Great stuff
Killed it! Hong Kong is such a vibe.
Thank you so much man, loved it ❤
8:02 The sort of dystopian rundown apartments across the street would have been an amazing shot, especially the apartment with the orange light!

You so make me wanna buy that lens 😂 great video mate 🤙🏼
Honestly it’s such a great lens! It’s hard to not like it 🫡 I shot the f1 in Jeddah last week and I used just this lens the entire time.
9:55 "Yes okay we are surrounded by trash, but that's fine! You know as long as we get the photo."
As an aspiring photographer I felt that LOL 😂😂
😂😂😂😂
Крутые кадры!

6:04 it’s just crazy how focal length can change the entire picture

I now own a Leica Q2 and I love it! Shooting street with that is way more enjoyable tbh. But this is just different, I love the range of the lens!🙏🏼

another banger keep up the good work man
Thank you ❤
@@Opticalwander all good bro your smashing it
How did you find the 35-150 for travel? Is it too heavy? I have a 28-75 but I'm not sure if I should swap it for a 35-150

@@Opticalwander i think that's what I needed to hear. Looks like I'm swapping

@sgpork yea so I've decided to have 3 lenses, 16-35, 35-150, and a prime of some kind. Unsure what yet. Thinking about the 85mm
