These are all pretty similar to the Sesssions clocks. I have one with three pillars on each side that I bought for 35 bucks about 45 years ago and has been running ever since. Our home is not the same without the ticking and the gong sounding every hour. For me it has a calming effect .
My only grandfather collected old clocks then I don't think no how many he had. I've been told my father when he lived there once wound all the clocks at once after being warned not to. Many of my late grandfather's Clocks Were of the Striking variety. I need to imagine it sounded much like this video. He did have a Seth Thomas like he's in the video I think his head the lion head on the side.
I like the Adamantine clock collection you have. My friend and former piano instructor, Betty Coffman has a Seth Thomas Adamantine model, too. It has three pillars, three for each side. I remember hers striking the full hour on the gong and half-hour on the bell, but I didn't hear the bell at first because it was so quiet. I've known her clock for over 20 years, and I've never forgotten about it.
I have a white Adamantine with single white marble pillars. The black ones are not near as rare. You have a wonderful collection, Do you service them yourself. I love old clocks❤
My family has a Seth Thomas clock in storage that closely resembles the clock on the top-right corner of this display, though most of the colors are worn. The chime itself does work, but in the clock's current state, I wouldn't try running it with the pendulum until getting some work and restoration done on it. Someday I hope to get that work done.
that's an impressive collection! I have three Seth Thomas Adamantines....and I thought that was a lot!😄 Do some of these have the Sonora or 'ding-dong' mechanisms?
None of the ones in the video were Sonora but there were a couple of them running off camera. I have several ding-dong strikes but thet were not wound. I have another wall of faux wood adamantine and there are a number of the ding-dong and Sonoras
Great collection. I just squired a No.3 and haven't seen another on the internet yet. Do you have one? Mine works great except the bell at the half hour doesn't work. I hear the mechanism but no movement of the hammer. I don't know what the numbers mean but it has #890 on the movement and No.3 on the label. Anyway, I love your collection. Thanks for a look and good luck to you.
I acquired a sessions black mantle clock with 4 half columns. I am interested in finding out how old mine is and refurbishing it. I am also interested in collecting them. Please make more videos.
I love this collection, I am honored to have one of your clocks too! Greg
This brings me so much joy 🤩
2:14 I hear a bim bam on bells
yes, a couple of them were running off camera
@@antiqueclocker1070 can you do a video of one of the ding dong ones on bells
Very nice collection of Seth Thomas Adamantine Clocks!
Thank you. I enjoy them. I've restored and sold many on Ebay (and I wish I had them all back!).

They look similar but the Sessions are black paint and the adamantines are actually a thin plastic veneer over wood
I just refinished a1919 Ingraham and refinished the one my grandfather gave me. It was a 1921. I love them.
Wow now that is quite the collection of antiques! They sound amazing! Awesome collection!
thank you

I just got an 1870 calico Seth Thomas and love it!
Absolutely magnificent! My grandma has a 1880 ST adamantine that works perfectly
I'm always amazed how something that old can work so well with a minimum of maintenance
The clock at 1:09 is my profile picture! I love these clocks so much! Highlight of my collection!
i followed your channel and gave it some love.
