  • Let’s find out if the new Gamo Arrow is better than the classic Gamo Urban. Both in .22 cal. Both with the same ATN scope. Both shooting the same H&N Baracuda 15 pellets! This is for real!

    Hey Ben!!!
Thanks again for your excellent URBAN VS. ARROW video and review.
I am really glad to see that the Gamo Arrow is slightly lighter and shorter for my wife, kids, and me, but more importantly; more accurate.
All around a much better bargain, and it comes with iron sights!
Gamo should give you a bonus or commission, because you just sold 4 Arrows, and because it's more affordable, I can buy my kids extra gear and accessories.👍
Please suggest to Gamo to bundle a sling, carrying case, bipod, hunter orange cap and /or vest, eye protection, and metal small game targets, to be sold separately.
    Thanks again.
Stay Safe, Be Well, God Bless.

But it wasn’t more accurate. The Urban shot slightly better groups. He uses that “I pulled the shot excuse” to make the Arrow look better. I’m assuming he is paid by Gamo, or is given new Gamo rifles to review by Gamo, and of course they want their new rifle to come out on top, so he tweeked his video that way.

    Hey Ben!!!
As always, another excellent video. This video will definitely sell tons of both Gamo PCP Airguns. I am curious about the maximum range each one will get using Crosman Premier Hollow Points 14.3 grains or Gamo TS 22 heavy pellets. Not just which shoots farther but how much fpe it still has at point of impact. Also, please note the difference in points of aim vs points of impact per each gun and per pellet. I assume that the Gamo TS 22 will have a longer range and maintain higher fpe in the URBAN but if the difference is negligible I might just have to buy a few Arrows!!!
    Anyway, thanks again.
Stay Safe, Be Well, God Bless.
Please suggest that Gamo should start making heavy hunting slugs ie around high 30 to 40 grains. That way we can still humanely harvest small game and not have to worry about changing calibers.

I've had my Gamo Urban for four years. It's been a great PCP for pesting using the JSB 18.13g pellets. I use a hand pump to fill it after two mags, or 20 shots. I fill to 2900 psi and shoot down to about 1800 psi with and ES of 15 ft/sec. The Urban is of very good quality being that it is made in the UK and is basically a rebranded BSA Buccaneer with a hammer forged barrel. I still feel it is the best entry level PCP as compared to all others.

@@stoecklinr That depends on what you are going to use the airgun for. The Avenger, from what I have seen and read, is accurate and has a LOT of tunability. The Urban is a pesting tool that just works right out of the box. If the range is out beyond 50 yards, the Avenger might be a better option. The Urban is basically a rebranded BSA Buccaneer built in the UK with quality materials. The Avenger is a Chinese airgun built with questionable materials. I know the Chinese compromise on quality to be competitive. BSA has manufactured airguns for over a hundred years and they know how to do it right. No one talks much about what's inside of an airgun and if repair parts are needed, will they be available? I would go with my Urban. It puts out a good average 800 fps with JSB 18.19 pellets (26 fpe) and will definitely stack them at 25 yards. And it is made in the UK by BSA and is all aluminum, brass and steel and just exudes quality. I did remove the original moderator and install an adapter and a DFL after I damaged it (my fault). The Arrow is, well, kind of mostly plastic and that charge handle looks hard to get to below the scope..

@@fisheyeguy I wouldn't go that far. Depends on what you're looking for and what your needs are. The Urban was more powerful but was also heavier, has a lower shot count in between fills, and didn't have an ambidextrous charge handle. The Arrow is shorter, lighter, has higher shot count, ambidextrous charge handle, is just as accurate (maybe even more accurate), and it's significantly less expensive.
I did a lot of research between the two and ultimately went with the Arrow and am very happy I did. It also didn't hurt that PA had them on sale over the holidays, so I was able to pick one up for under $150 👍🏼

Here is my review. I have the Urban and the Arrow. The Arrow I got just a week ago. Had to order a Foster fitting so I could air up my arrow. I was very concerned as it showed empty on the gage. Finally got my Foster fitting and air up the Arrow. Using the iron sights I did a 3 shot group hitting the bottom of my paper once and the next 2 hitting the steel around my trap mushrooming my 22cal pellet's and denting the heck out the steel trim of my 38 special trap. Powerful for sure. Accurate? One on paper and 2 hitting the rim? What ? Maybe 40 yards to start is too far, moved the trap closer to around 20 yards. Took another shot and some plastic went flying! What was that? Looks like a piece of a black plastic zip tie or something, Humm.. Took another shot and more black plastic went flying across my table. What the heck! What is going on here? Wait. My air tank and barrel no longer look parallel to each other. I put my fingers in between the tank and the barrel and the front plastic bracket tank to barrel is broken. These are the plastic pieces!! What in the world!! Who makes a rifle like this? Gamo Spain apparently. I have lost total confidence in the Arrow. What a POS! This Arrow will be what gives Gamo a bad name!! This POS is going back !! The Urban is made in the UK and is metal. The Urban compared to the Arrow is no comparison at all !!! Do not NOT get an Arrow. Plastic Fantastic it is not!! I do not know what this POS is!! Terrible is what it is!! Do not get an Arrow!!! Gamo needs to recall all of them before there is a class action lawsuit!!! The barrel and the tank were separating. If the 3000psi tank separates itself from the rest of the rifle you will have an explosion in your face!!! Do not get an Arrow!!

Power means nothing if the rifle isn't very accurate. The Urban has an adjustable hammer spring which can increase it's power to 30 ft-lbs. The main question to ask is "What are you going to use this airgun for?". How much power is enough? I have taken out four woodchucks at 20-25 yds with a single head shot. Shot placement is key and the Urban delivers on accuracy. Ask anyone from the UK where they are limited to 12 ft-lbs.

Interesting video with good compared aspects between the two rifles. Not bad for a couple of hundred bucks..😁
The Arrow do seem nice - but oddly, I'd still probably personally lean towards the Urban even though usually it would not probably been my pick if only been basing my choice by the features "on paper"..

Although you used the same pellets in each gun to make it fare, the urban may have shot at 50yds better with a different pellet. Unless you find the best pellet when you get into longer ranges I don’t think that’s fare. But I appreciate the video I will keep my rifle made from and out of the BSA factory with its cold hammer forged barrel

@@JesusChrist_IsTruth-LoveForALL unregulated means you will be shooting depending on how much pressure is in the tank. Regulated means there’s mechanisms in between the air tank and the chamber that will be regulating the pressure going out so you have a consistent pressure. Ive had 2 arrows. The second one is now being shipped back for repairs. On my dollar i might add. There is a plastic clip that holds the barrel to the frame and its extremely fragile. I have no more than 100 shots in the 2 rifles before they broke. And you can't fix it yourself because the clip is molded to the frame. Once it breaks the barrel is extremely loose and pops up about an inch from the frame. Then it breaks the same plastic clip that holds the air cylinder in. Awful design yet would be so easy to fix with a metal strap. The rifle at this point is useless and much be sent back for repair. Im expecting the next one to do the same and will be selling it. Save an extra $50 and get something better made. I hope others aren't having the same problem. Plus were i bought it from is blaming the shipper for rhe damage yet i checked upon arrival. Its a large seller of air rifles i say that much.
