If you are like me, you hate kickstands on your bike. However, having the ability to have your bike stand up unattended is a huge plus, and this product solves the biggest problem I have with this issue. Having the click stand for the past couple of months, I have nothing but great things to say! Thanks Tom, you make an amazing product!
The sound it makes is satisfying when it clicks together as it unfolds.
Walmart trekking pole trick worked for me. Just attach a long wrist strap so you can make a loop around the top tube!
I ordered mine and am waiting for its delivery. Glad to hear you've had good experience with it.
Yes, you'll be happy with it. I bought one and it's good
If you want a great kickstand, that works on all surfaces, this is it. I bought one several years ago and am still using it.
So you need to use two rubber bands to hold the brakes. Would the brakes get damaged in some way if they're held for a long time, like a week?
You can get an integrated parking brake too, prolock I think you call them
You do not need to use it on both brakes, and in my garage I don’t use it on either brake anymore where I have it propped. I typically only use it on one brake most of the time unless on a hill or something.
Thanks! Just wrote them to make an order
How much for a hair tie and a tent pole?
Wonderful how you demonstrate this on the only surface it actually works on (flat top concrete).
It works on any surface. True, some surfaces you may have to put something under it, but it works great. I have one
curious to know if you can just use a telescopic fishing rod holder instead? They seem to function the same.
Can you get one 10" compressed length? Haven't seen one.
Of course not. If you did this, the company couldn’t soak you for an expensive stick. And this guy couldn’t get his cut from plying this garbage to you.
50 dollar stick, lol
Just ordered a Max 6.No more broke handle bar accessories with flimsy kickstand and no more tipping the cow.
Haha. Havent had them that long, give him a chance. Just leave then on your handle bars near your breaks and youll never lose them. At least I haven't, and I've had mine for several years.
At this point, just bring a broom with you
I would lose this stickstand or someone would knock it off, but I do like the idea, i hate normal kickstands, the rear ones is what I'm going for.
It’s nice, but I made one out of PVC which comes apart for storage in my bag and I use on my recumbent bike!
Can you share how you made it? I just tried one but do not know what to use for the "cup" and it does not fold up.
I like this stand, I pull a doggie trailer and need to securely prop the bike up when parked on trail . Also this rod could be a fair defensive strike pole should a animal approach. (My pup has limited walk abilities so I trailer her a lot now. )
What if someone steals it?
What if they steal the whole bike?
@@billjones5178 Then too bad go report to police or look for on reselling platforms like Facebook. You should be using atleast 7/10 or higher security locks and never lock your bike for too long or overnight.
@@matthewcox1093 My reply was to the comment from guy “ What if someone steals it? “. As if stealing the bike stand was more of an issue than stealing the bike! I myself don’t worry too much about my bike getting stolen. Hardly ever lock it up. Do put it in side at dark .
Im getting one!
Thanks I pick one up.
Love that Half Pack! Almost didn't see it because, you know, camo.
I got hunting rifle monopod instead
Let's see...the click-stand...
1. is slower, requiring separate deployment and re-packing procedures
2. is apart from the bike, so it's prone to getting lost
3. is so unstable it requires deployment of an additional component on the brake lever
Basically, there's absolutely no advantage to this goofy thing over a traditional kickstand, except if you're a fashion-conscious hipster with an irrational hatred of kickstands and a desperate need to be cool.
That's a down grade from the real stand extra work
Plus someone can steal it
True, someone could steal it, however I would not say a downgrade, especially for those who do not like kickstands or have a bike that they cannot be installed on.
too mutch handeling..
...really?? what a pain! why not just get a kickstand?? hahaha wtf
Some like kick stands, I do not. I would prefer not to have anything mounted to the bike, and this pole allows me to place in the center of mass.
Tae Kim, click stand is preferrable to a kickstand specially for touring bikes which has lots of loads on the rear and front end of the bike.
Obviously you've never dealt with loaded panniers and I don't like having to tip the cow aka lay down a bicycle with panniers.Plus many back derailers mounts have met their demise when a bicycle falls over.
@@piewhackit2me Brosephine, ever see a cargo bike or motorcycle? They have center stands and can hold hundreds of kg easy and they are rock solid.
Yeah this makes no sense. Just get a kick stand.
No👎🏼
