I think when we're youngsters we like what our parents listened to until we reach an age when we develope our own taste in things. I still luv my rock music but there's always going to be those classics you can't deny enjoying and Dolly is one of them. I've always enjoyed those country songs that tell a story and she's written many of them but most of all, she seems genuinely down to earth, a real class act. :-)

I was so amazed at this womans voice and she had her hair all fixed up and a short tight dress on. Back then women in country music just didn't look like that. Dolly Parton is not incredibly talented. What she has is a desire to improve her life and escape poverty. That moved her to work on herself and use every tool in her makeup kit. She is very intelligent and makes use of the advantages she eventually acquires, plus she has a pleasing personality, and she set a goal for herself and stayed focused, but incredible, not any more so than the average person.
