I absolutely appreciate how this man explains every step so thoroughly!!! Dude makes the best car fixing videos!!! 😊
Thanks so much. I like focusing on the details.
Appreciate the video. This convinced me not to remove the entire hose, but to mend the rusted through section and call it a job. Appreciate the penetrating lubricant tip, though Free All has worked very well for me.
Glad this video helped.
Can you whisper lower so it can't be heard your voice at all?

This was so incredibly helpful! thank you for putting in the effort to make this video and share this valuable knowledge
Glad it helped, it took a lot of time and lots of creative thinking. Hope you don't struggle on this project!
This sounded like a movie lol
Cool Story!
This was great. Thank you.
Glad this helped! This video hopefully also teaches you how to be crafty to get the job done with less removing of parts.
I had no crow foot wrenches...on my 12 ram I broke off the pipes near the connection to use a socket...I guess you can do this on some applications if there is room.
I wish I had room to put a socket on.
I'm Batman!
Cool!
Cool!
Hey Man!... thank you very much for posting this video. It is exactly what I need to do on my 2003 Mercedes SLK 32. Though I will change both pressure lines. I spent all day yesterday trying to figure out the best way to reach the far end of the lines without taking the whole car apart. WIS Mercedes manual doesn't mention this work.
From your instructions I see I'm missing some tools so I'll have to get them asap. To loosen the end nut, can I use just WD40?
Thanks for your help. I'll let you know how it goes. My hands are small 😄
Best!
How did it go?
@@FixCarYourselfI'm still working on this. I was able to change the return hose (from steering to cooling line) This is better accessible from under the car and the nut wasn't stuck so it was easy to remove it. With this the leak is gone.
For the pressure line you showed on the video, it seems there is less room in the Mercedes so I was not able to reach the nut the way you did it though I have small hands. Now I need to replace the engine mount that requires removing the steering pump and reservoir (among other stuff) and that will be a good moment to change this pressure hose. I'm waiting for the parts to arrive.
I'll let you know.
Thank you!
Could you reach the nut by removing the tire and getting at it from under?
Nope! I tried that as well as all kinds of different out of the box setups and on this car it was not possible unless I removed the engine motor mounts which would have been more time consuming. Also even from underneath their is no leverage or easy way to get a hand in there to turn it, which is why I used a floor jack or bottle jack. Because in addition that was stuck on their tightly. Great question!
@@FixCarYourself Thanks.
is that a crossfire
Yep. This is just a regular Crossfire.
@@FixCarYourself beautiful Mercedes i have a 05 limited fun little cars keep up the great info
I agree thanks!
My car has the noise problem but the wheel isn't hard.
That's good perhaps you still have some oil inside lubricating the line still.

Yes!
Why would they charge 900$to fix
Lot to remove if done differently to get to this hose, so as a result labor is not going to be cheap., and I guess it also depends on where you go.
Impossible for my skill level
It was a bit hard, doable... but big hands might be more of an issue.
Why y’all so scared to get grease on your hands you don’t have to use gloves
I didn't use gloves.
AYOOO ! PAUSE ! 🤦🏾♂️
Ok 👌
Instructions unclear.
Ok. Please explain.
dude I understand you think your voice is cool but 2 people standing next to me have a point and want you to put the candy down and step away from the children. SERIOUSLY! work on that issue , me I could care less but instructions are to what vehicle ???
Well at least you know this is a video about automotive. Stay off the "candy."
@kelly you must be stupid asf
