They were great together. But there was some things about their relationship that bothers me. I know this serie has only 6 episodes. But, they met in episode 1 and got together in episode 2, very soon (and it was days between these episodes). Second, she is the politician responsable for him being the war. And he suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder because of the war. There is one scene that he watch her saying that war is necessary and he watch it again and again. And after he saved her they stayed together. I thought It would be more interesting watch him to struggle more about to protect the one who was responsable for the chaos of his life. Of course it was his job. But, in my opinion their relationship could happen later at least in episode 3.

At that point David is struggling emotionally seeks to be comforted by his wife but she turns him away. Julia is struggling emotionally after the attack. Both sought each other for comfort. David is not the type of guy who will show that struggle. He's incredibly guarded with his emotions. He'll bury it and act professional at all times. That's what soldiers do. They fight even if its against their beliefs. Its a strong mentality amongst soldiers. But he is torn between his duty as a PPO and what he's going through. But he does start to become jealous (for a lack of a better word). Like when she dismisses him and says that If she needs him she'll ring for him and he sarcastically replies "like room service?" But he also notices how kind she is to him. She was responsible for foiling the plan to hurt his children and also when she gets his son a better school. He stops seeing her as the source of all his pain and sees her as his salvation from it. The relationship developed incredibly fast. Both didn't have time to process what happened nor how they felt for each other. He never talks to her about the PTSD until the time he almost strangles her. They just both knew that there is this strong connection they couldn't deny regardless of whatever was going on with their lives. David doesn't realize the extent of his feelings for Julia until she dies. He tries to kill himself not because he failed his job but because he lost her. Its why he was so intent on finding justice for her.
