Thank you Dan and Elliot for bringing me here on this Sunday morning for a reason to smile. Thank you AfterGlow Chorus for such an exquisite rendition of this piece.
That is so beautiful. It brought back memories of hearing and singing this song so many times during my teen years a long time ago. Now we need to muster the will to make it come true.
Martha: Please do not doubt the will to overcome. It is present if those of us who support the need and will to overcome all join hands and support one another. I have confidence and faith that we will overcome because there are more of us who want to overcome than there are those who don't, imo. In addition, to do this, we all must vote against the evilness that is rearing its nasty & horrific face, not just in the U.S. but in the world. Positivity in this is necessary, in the heart, in the mind, and in the voting booth.
This is stunningly beautiful. I would never have had the honor of hearing it had Dan and Elliot not posted it. Thank you for this hopeful and joy filled version AfterGlow Chorus!
I thought I knew this song so well. This gorgeous choir--right across the Bay!--and soloist make it new and even more inspiring. Brought me to tears. May it spur us to overcome.
What a beautiful, heart-warming rendition of "We Shall Overcome"...the best I have ever heard. My heart and mind are filled with strength and hope that together, hand-in-hand, "we shall overcome." Also in this moment my eyes are crying tears of joy of what we will overcome together, but also tears of sadness for what has been occurring to bring us, again, to this type of moment. May God forever give us the love and strength to walk hand-in-hand to overcome the bigotry that horribly stains our world. Thank you for the beauty you have provided to us...I am grateful!
Wow!!! Thank you so much AfterGlow Chorus, for such a moving and superb presentation of this powerful song. And thank you Dan Rather and Elliot Kershner for finding this and sharing it on Steady.
That was magnificent. Beautifully rendered that which felt so calming and peaceful. Thank you so kindly for this delightful version in Remembering Charleston 2015. This reminded me of my childhood; listening to our United Methodist Chancel Choir. This just brings hope & inspiration to keep moving forward positively after listening. Blessings to everyone. 🙏🏽🌷🌷🌷🤗 Thank you Dan Rather, as well for sharing this link.
Absolutely gorgeous! You have blessed the world with love. Thank you!
