This was very touching, she is an amazing sister. When she said "I am your number one fan", I cried for him. He needs to heal, meet his biological parents and get a closer for himself.
she raised him since he was 7yrs and they have same mother biologicaly, but different father and she herself was raised by her father who was killed in a gun-shot.

You can tell he is holding a lot of pain because of his father, when he cried I really felt it.
I wish children could understand why the parent isn't there and that they are in a better place. Some parents are dealing with addictions, poverty, mental health issues or they know they just can't properly take care of a child. But young ones don't understand everything yet. It's heartbreaking and I pray young ones don't let circumstances break you. Know that love is there around you and appreciate that for the moment. Don't worry about what you don't have but what you do have.
@@nreynolds75243 all a child wants is their parent. To be connected. Biology is powerful. When a child is separated from the parent so many other issues come up that isn't addressed. A child just wants a relationship. Read the book "The Primal Wound: Understanding the Adopted Child." That will give you better insight.
Lawanna is a beautiful soul. As an adopted child myself, to have that kind of support is SO critical and important. Good luck to you, young man.

UPDATE: Trevor finally met his biological father February 2020 and is leaving today to spend some time with his biological mother. He can share his experience of both encounters if he please; that will be his call (not my place to deliver that). Thank you all for the beautiful feedback and positive vibes (only positive energy needs recognition...lol). The AND has been a wonderful experience for Trevor, the world and I.Peace and Blessings.

Trevor I feel you man. You've had a rough go of it. I wish for you a life of peace and self understanding. What happens to us as children isn't a reflection of who we are but rather the people around us. It can be a painful journey to figure it all out but if you are willing to do the work and face it all with truth and authenticity things will get better. 💖

Lawanna you're amazing! Trevor - The important people are the ones who are there for you now! My father never wanted kids let alone loved me, its ok that was his stuff not mine. Not saying its the case for you! I grew up in the care system, so in a way you have people around you who care and love for you which is good and what you deserve.

This touched my heart, being a teen carrying so much hurt and trauma is difficult as it is, but having a family member who listens to your pain and gives their genuine advice is golden. His adoptive father passed. His birth father is on drugs.

Yeah, I would like to know what would have been the best way to tell you too. I have a foster daughter that i’m Most likely going to be able to adopt. She’s been with me since she was born and now she’s 7months🥰. I plan on always talking about her adoption positively and I have children’s book on adoption for her. But, I I wonder is that the best way to go about it? I don’t ever want her to be ashamed of being adopted or feel like she’s less than.
I’ve always wondered whether I should tell them when they’re older. Maybe it’s fear that if I do they may not come back
Antoinette Orr Most adopted people seem to have wanted to know when they were younger. I think some people assume that a young child can't understand, but they can. My niece was adopted when she was a toddler and she is 7 now. She knows she is adopted because her parents have always brought it up causally. They've never made it this big thing. They've shown her pictures of her parents and even let her have play dates with her half siblings. Of course she doesn't understand everything but she understands enough.

He's carrying a lot pain. His adopted mother telling him he can't come back home if he visits his real mother. You can't say that to an adopted child. And he's carried pain thinking his father doesn't love him. His sister is wonderful...she spoke to him and ensured him he always has a place to go.

MissTotos It is heartbreaking to be separated from our children. Especially when they are young. As a mother of a young son myself I can appreciate how you feel. Teenage years can be so difficult for our youngsters. Especially in these times.
With the rise of the digital age we as parents have even more of a responsibility to help our children navigate their lives.
There are so much more pressures on young people to be a certain way.
Whereas back in the day it was more simple.
Don't give up.
Family life can be challenging at times.
It's good to have a support system. Even if it is online.

I hope he found the answers he was looking for. I certainly did when I went to live with my father for a few months. Didn't turn out how I expected, however I've grown from it. I've learned in a whole other way how things aren't the way they are and may never be.
I have recently came back from New Mexico where my dad was living, and yea it wasnt at all what i expected, but instead of running from it, i took alot from it

Your parents will always be your parents, blood connects you, inheritance connects you, some kind of union knowing it's biological is a strong bond nobody can tear or replace... I want to adopt one day and I'm open to my children wanting their biological parents back even if I'd want them to stay forever, they'll be welcome here any time of day... Loving them and raising them is essential for me than being selfish and possessive with them.
Being adopted myself, this touched me a lot. My biological put me on a step and my aunt (my dad's sister) took me at 2. She passed from cancer in 2016. It's been difficult and i miss her and all of the support she's given me. Listening to her made me cry. Seeing him cry made me cry. Made me think of my mom and our conversations💜 i wanted to go and she let me and i saw that her giving me up was The Best thing that couldve ever happened to me

Owwo I felt for this kid, there are SOO Many young men in his situation who are hurting. Who don't find the support they need from their biological dads. And they get in trouble, some end up either dead or in jail because they don't have that initial mirroring that is so needed for them to become whole. I never was in the situation so, I dont know. I only know my son is going through it. All I can say for myself is that the failures of others can not hold us back. Read books on other men in your situation who found someone to look up to, rather they be someone historically or living today. Ima pray for this young man and others..... You know, I tell my son and his friends to do volunteer work, help out elderly people in your community. Go to nursing homes to visit those who have no one in their lives. I'm telling you, helping will give you so much of a deep rooted purpose and fulfillment. Guidance and Blessings to you young man, and all those in need of guidance and blessings ))
