- The penultimate round of the Triton Showers National Rally Championship took place over the roads of Galway, with an packed entry list and a quality starters list of cars and crews. The event was won by Gareth McHale in his Volkswagen Polo R5, meaning the McHale name returned to the top of the time sheets for the first time in over a decade! Really love watching mad 4 tar, could watch for hours, especially the mk2 escorts. Reminds me of my mk2 rs2000 I had back in the day, fastest car I ever owned ever. Miss it but couldn't afford 1 today. Wish I never sold it

Where are people still finding affordable MK2 escorts to rally ?!
its mindblowing how some drivers will fly in trying to save every second they can off stage time.then when they spin out will waste 5 seconds setting still spinning the tires, when easing off the throttle would stop spinning the tires enough to propel the car forward again.some of these folks must not have much experience racing a clock.

Someone had been putting oil at a couple of those junctions , no way was that surface that bad….👍😳
No oil anywhere anyways, seemed to be at the hairpin all the rubber being left whilst braking caused the grip to disappear👍
