The best thing about the Azure Dust transformation, and honestly the only reason I ever used it, it doesn’t agro Erlang during your fight with him so it’s an easy way to get some hits in. That’s the only use I have for this transformation spell
Azure Dome is easily S-rank. It's the only transformation in the game that can actually kill some bosses completely before it runs out and you can heal up tons very quickly with it. And even high health bosses you can easily take half of their life away.
That changes in NG+4. Its DPS is great but I find loong better in overall burst. I don't need that much of healing as well and I don't prefer the revives. I mentioned as well as that any players can easily see it as S tier because of its spells and support ability but it is will not be the case ofr advanced players.
Completely agree. This transformation counters most of the strongest bosses in the game all the dragons, scorpion kids etc . What makes this transformation even better is the fact it's the only transformation that can't be countered by Er Lang who is hands down the strongest boss in the game.
You need to test more. Dark Thunder is hands down the most dmg transformation in Wukong. You can stack 5 AOE thunder circles together using ring of fire spell. Killing most bosses in 1 go.
@@MrSefiroh you can use the fan to break Erlang's shield...but it doesn't fully break the shield, only breaks it enough for you to be able to deal the remaining needed damage
Nope, used it before even getting to Erlang. It's the only Transformation who's special tracks direction to the opponent so it never misses. It's far more reliable in doing damage than most of those on the list. Being slow isn't an issue because bosses come directly to you. It just requires some skill to use, not just spamming attacks.
the fact that I can use Azure Dome for everything in Ng+5, yet have to pull out Golden Lightning for Erlang and Wukong show how good that transformation is.
Yeh I was wondering if that was a bug or not. Maybe it’s just such a shit transformation compared to the others that Erlang lets you get a few free hits off out of pity
Yellow Loong Clutched Erlang for me. I countered all his attacks, stunning him in the process and doing massive damage while also having the longest longevity of all the transformations
It really doesn't. The only reason why Erlang doesn't do anything is because he knows you need him to attack you to get it's stacks, but otherwise it's good for defensive stats in some situations

Thanks for Sharing Duke, it matches my list. Many people are commenting that Dome is the best but I see otherwise. I tested it multiple times especially when it comes to DPS. The main prob with it is advance players will get little use of its defensive perks, this is the reason why see Loong as an unparalleled transformation.
@@JRPGSamurai yeah I do agree with you on that one....but remember that most ppl are not that advanced, most of them are probably only at ng+. And I bet to many ppl the azure res mechanics hard carry them through the tough bosses Dragon got higher DPS for sure, but his attacks are more suited for single target....against multiple targets I found it annoying when I try to kill one unit and other units jump in or shoot arrows to damage me. While the azure fire heavy AOE clears everything in one go....so that is why more ppl prefer the azure transformation ....more user friendly
Sure, what I suggest is to test it against the dual blade monk in the temple entrance keeper shrine, this bou have some varrying movesets, perfect for practicing the loong or wukong's. Its the place that I am testing them with in this video. Then you can try the blind monks near the dual bladed. Godspeed equi!
If you upgrade the transformations with sparks do you only get the bonuses if you have them equipped? Like if I upgrade steadfast for the defensive stats do I only receive the defensive buff when I have the transformation equipped ?
Is the timing on Golden Lining's see through attacks the same as when we're in our regular form? Because I have no issues using see through when playing normally, but can't seem to really execute any in the transformation
In my opinion the Suh's parry is slower compared to Yellow Loong's. Loong's animation will spin quickly and this is the window where we want to receive the enemy attack.
Well... the strong attack of the Golden Lining doesn’t always land, which I found frustrating. The Umbral Abyss dodges attacks effectively, making it last longer. As for Red Tides, it deals continuous fire damage and is easy to use.
I think its just practice, since I managed to make it land always, the key is always use the finisher when the boss ended its attack animation since it your burst window. Umbral and Red are good transformations indeed.
Azure dust is for sure A or S. Besides the ones that detransform and explode. He's pretty much the only one where I can GUARANTEE some damage will happen. When he builds up he ability bar and dive bombs. That might be the only move he gets but that's cool. The Red monkey is the best tho
Youre not using yin tiger properly. It doesnt matter how bad his normal attacks are, you should never use them. And the same goes for the charge attack. Even if you tranaform without any focus, all you have to do is stand next to the boss and hold block till you're fully charged then unleash windwalker to do some serious damage. The block ability is insane and very few things in the game can go through it. I have tried all the transformstions extensively and I always go back to Yin Tiger because of how reliable and consistent it is. Its near the top in terms of damage potential while also being very easy to achieve said damage. Also versatile in the sense that you can use it as a panic button when the boss goes crazy mode, maybe during some phase change, as you can transform and hold block to soak it up while charging yourself up. Great finisher and I think it should be S tier. Edit: as a side note, I beat Great Sage final boss on my 4th try during 1st play through thanks to this transformation.
Hello man, thanks for your insight first of all. I am aware how to use the Yin Tiger and if you will listen carefully, I mentioned that Windwalker is the way to go. That's why I suggested to access it right away and not stay on the normal form. God knows how I love banking on its perfect guard but I am more into burst damage. I am not saying its bad and its strong actually. But it is clear to see that it can't match the Golden Loong's Burst. We can see it in the numbers. Everything changes in NG+4 and all of the transformation's effectiveness changed a lot. Its easy to see otherwise in NG.
I think Azure Dust is underrated. It deals very consistent damage while also being a great mean of stalling. If you enjoy fighting in the monkey form and don’t want to invest a lot in transformations, then definitely try it. In high NG cycle though it becomes overwhelmed by its poor scaling and enemy’s high scaling.
I tend to love the monkey form indeed but mains loong as well. Since you can easily flush your might if you can burst with loong if you really don't like staying in transformation for long. All of these are NG+4 tested and I see Azure Dust's value really diminishes at that point.
Moreover, due to the fast light attack of yellow loong, you can easily detect it by reaction at any time. I have successfully detected it nine out of ten times with loong's detection, while the monkey's own detection may only be successful three times

Poison builds are lil bit iffy for now and my lightning build needs tweaking because the Loongscale set is poorly designed as of now. If you thunder, I suggest pairing Golden Set with a Stormflash staff in NG+. Or better yet, use the Fuban Staff and use any spirit that you want.
@@jaydenlim2962 go for yaksha if you want more challenge. While centipede is good if you do have the centipede unique armguard. How about you save it for the bull king then.
Defenetly you didn't use Azure Dust at all. Azure Dust can easy remove ALL shield from Erlang (he just stops use most of his elemental attacks on you), also you shouldn't use attack on bosses (except Erlang ofc). Just fill meter and cast it twice. The damage is almost good as others in this case. Also just by standing and taking damage to fill your concentration meter you can wait for cooldowns on spells. And you forgot to mention, that most forms require 3 focus point (it's around 1-3k damage depends on your level) to be effective, while Azure Dust no.
He definitely underrated it a bit, but it's still not that good. Great in certain situations but clunky in most. "Its good against Erlang" is a silly argument, that's one boss. Its a nice transformation for plebs as you don't have to sweat too much to get something out of it but that's all. Mid at best.
Hmmm I didn't had that much of an issue removing Erlang's Shield. You can easily as well that the DPS is really lower compared to the others and you can see as well that you can almost do 2 jumps per uptime. This is an NG+4 Cycle and my judgment really changes when playing on higher difficulty.
Hello Bleed, I am not saying that Dust does not work. Its just that these videos are looking at the bigger picture especially when playing in higher cycles. Everything can change at this point and I find Azure Dust's effectiveness very niche compared to the others where you can use them in almost everywhere.
It's funny that you label some of these transformations "good for beginners" even though beginners can't even access them 😂 You have to have progressed way past the beginning of the game to get 99% of the transformations you showcase 😂
What I mean by this is players who are starting their first NG cycle. In my opinion, players who progressed on new cycles like NG+ to 4 are not beginners anymore. Also when I say "beginners" I am also referring for players who doen't have that much of an exp in ARPGs.
Hello Matt, well hes fun to use if you are just factoring fun factor. Freezing enemies are more fun with the Snowball Figt. Just ensure you'll cast that ice sheet as soon as you can since he is slo as hell.
Talking purely in terms of damage and ignoring damage reduction or revive as you have mentioned all over and ranked the forms. IMO, u seriously mis ranked violet hail. That transformation when paired with needle does absurd amount of damage. Paired with fuban staff and centipede build, every strike from needle crits and staggers the enemy. In most cases, pluck of many isnt even needed to digress the boss. Two full burst damage from 4 eggs with destruction exhibits very high damage, easily above 8k. P.S. u can use the scorpion spirit to instantly poison Bane the enemy before using violet hail
@@JRPGSamurai addressed recently? Did u mention this in any other video. I m saying because I want to know more information on poison build and if what I m saying is correct

And I bet to many ppl the azure res mechanics hard carry them through the tough bosses
Dragon got higher DPS for sure, but his attacks are more suited for single target....against multiple targets I found it annoying when I try to kill one unit and other units jump in or shoot arrows to damage me. While the azure fire heavy AOE clears everything in one go....so that is why more ppl prefer the azure transformation ....more user friendly
Indeed and I agree, and I have specifically mentioned this in the video why many people see the Dome as the " best ".
@@JRPGSamurai yeah i guess when it is high up there, it all boil down to self preferernce
Do you know any way to practice the see through parry? I can pull it off but not consistently
Ah no, you can upgrade their talents and even if the exact transformation is not equipped, you can enjoy the benefits.
There needs to be a DLC where you can play as one of the transformations permanently. Maybe a PvP mode?
I totally agree, playing these transformation is really fun!
@@JRPGSamurai ah nice, will look out for that cue, and figure it out from there. Thanks!
Let's go Fai! You can do this. Its fun indeed.
Golden lightning full stack attack is the most powerful thing in the game literally drains bosses health pool like 40 percent.
Goat indeed.
Umbral Abyss also heals itself while attacking once you activate Cold Heart
Yeah I noticed this as well. Good bonus.
Are they all fully upgrades in the skilltree or is it just the "base versions"?
Why does it matter? The upgrades are the same for all.
They are all maxed upgraded indeed, this is an NG+4 Cycle so bosses are chunky.
Red Tides should be A Tier
Honestly I used fire tides up until chapter 5 and then I used the yellow loong summon for the rest of the game, I love the fast pace.
Me too. Also did a thunder build. Can’t go without yellow loong.
Red Tides is surely lovely. But Yellow Loong is GOAT!
THE GOAT!
@@JRPGSamurai I didn’t know focus points moved over now I’ll actually try some of them like the bird monkey. Thought he was useless before this.
@@typicalw1248 Yeah there are a handful of transformations that can do this. Game changer indeed and have fun!
Well... the strong attack of the Golden Lining doesn’t always land, which I found frustrating.
@@JRPGSamurai Golden Lining is the undisputed #1 in high NG cycles for sure. Or better even, the only viable transformation.
Agree 300%
Azure Dust is S Tier cuz it’s the only transformation Erlang won’t attack 😂
XD
Nice tier :)
Thanks Willy!
Dude Azure Dust is top 5 best transformation
Ah no, I tend to disagree, many of us have the same sentiments.
How do you parry with gold lining?
Combo light attacks and then use a heavy attack just as the enemy's attack hits you and it'll do a parry attack and give you a focus point.
@@dustinbiester4401 Thank you
Exactly, just like doing a resolute combo with SUH!
@@JRPGSamurai Thank you too
Moreover, due to the fast light attack of yellow loong, you can easily detect it by reaction at any time. I have successfully detected it nine out of ten times with loong's detection, while the monkey's own detection may only be successful three times
thanks alot for all your useful tips. able to have a video to share the best build tier list? wukong set build, poison build, thunder build, bull king def build and etc.. that will be good thanks in advance.
welcome Jayden, no worries, I will be making builds soon and rank them as well!
@@JRPGSamurai can i have a quick question? which is actually stronger poison build or thunder build? which armour i should craft 1st? what about Yaksha. the rest like bull king, gold and pilgrim i have already. why i am asking is because i have limited celestial ribbon so want to get the most worthy armor 1st. i have enough mats to only craft 2 sets of mythical so i need to choose two out of this 3 sets poison, thunder and Yaksha
@@jaydenlim2962 I would suggest going in for the safest bet for now. I would highly suggest maxing out the golden set first and builds the best setup for spirit spamming instead of thunder and poison. Because I haven't optimized my setup yet.
@@JRPGSamurai thanks for your reply. i already have the golden set. now i just need to choose 2 out of 3 sets which are poison, thunder or Yaksha.
Imo its its just right and I tend to see the bigger picture and not just useful for a certain fight. I mentioned it as well in the video.
If it's only useful against Erlang and not other bosses then it's not really that useful.
@@PeterPing One of my points really.
Rat should be a spot or tier higher just cuz the exp grind.
No
AHAH! It helps us alot!
Hey man Azure Dust works Erlangs shield and he won’t de transform you from that he just talks shit
Yes! AZURE DUST is OP.
Hello Bleed, I am not saying that Dust does not work. Its just that these videos are looking at the bigger picture especially when playing in higher cycles. Everything can change at this point and I find Azure Dust's effectiveness very niche compared to the others where you can use them in almost everywhere.
@@JRPGSamurai I know I never use it lol it does come in clutch sometimes tho
It's funny that you label some of these transformations "good for beginners" even though beginners can't even access them 😂 You have to have progressed way past the beginning of the game to get 99% of the transformations you showcase 😂
What I mean by this is players who are starting their first NG cycle. In my opinion, players who progressed on new cycles like NG+ to 4 are not beginners anymore. Also when I say "beginners" I am also referring for players who doen't have that much of an exp in ARPGs.
I wanted to like the water monk but hes so slow timing his attack blows is not the easiest...
Hello Matt, well hes fun to use if you are just factoring fun factor. Freezing enemies are more fun with the Snowball Figt. Just ensure you'll cast that ice sheet as soon as you can since he is slo as hell.
What has baby thanos done to you man
Nothing man, I love him its just that he is the first reasonable boss to showcase these transformations =)
Why cry?
I have already addressed all of these man recently but hey, thanks for the feedback.
@@JRPGSamurai addressed recently? Did u mention this in any other video. I m saying because I want to know more information on poison build and if what I m saying is correct
