- When it comes to mufflers, there is no substitute for hearing the sound a particular muffler makes before deciding if it is the right fit for your vehicle. To help you make your decision, DynoMax® has created a Mobile Sound Cart that is outfitted with a Chevrolet Block Block 502HP motor so you can hear the difference that DynoMax mufflers produce under the same operating conditions.
While you can see the DynoMax Mobile Sound Cart at shows and other events that DynoMax is participating in, you can always experience the Sounds of DynoMax any time at www.dynomax.com.... When you're ready to upgrade your vehicle's exhaust system, visit DynoMax's website at www.dynomax.com for performance mufflers, exhaust systems & accessories.

Never seen anything like it. That’s cool.
That is cool!! Finally someone made it easy to decide on which muffler to buy.
Every muffler shop should have the machine
I have heard the 289 with the Welded and the Super Turbo and both sound great, with the Super Turbo being a bit quieter. A Thrush Glasspack will be louder and "raspier". It depends on the sound you want. No matter what route you go, I bet it will sound awesome.
If I may suggest, That when advertising on you tube, it would be a help to add the sound decibel info of that muffler. You have great products, used them for years. Turbo's mostly. My mission now is to find that same v8 sound in a v6, at least close to it. Maybe you can add some v6 sound clips on your future projects. Keep 'em coming.
On my bucket list is to have enough money to try various combos of mufflers and resonators-glass packs on my vehicles. So many choices...so little time.
Your Dynomax Super Turbo Mufflers have a great sound💖
@kemorc Not that, but the fact that the Super Turbo is aluminized, but we are making the transition to SS on the Super Turbo right now. And you are right about the sound of the Super Turbo. A lot of the muscle cars love it as it quiets down their Big Blocks and the like.
I think with the Mad Hot it will sound great, honestly. It is in line with our Super Turbo that a lot of Ranger guys know and love. The Ranger is a great truck too!
How loud is the Thrush Rattlers vs Dyomax Bullets?
@@lanewarriorillridez3739 Bullet will be louder by a tad.
Super turbo sounds great
I love this set up talk about a head to head comparison
@kemorc Those are new for 2012! Good eye.
I have a set of your UltraFlos on my 72 442 and always loved the way they sounded and I got alot compliments on how it sounds. They been on there for about 7-8 years and around 30,000 miles and still sound good. I also put a set of your Super Turbos on my old truck and I really liked them too, I put up some sounds clips on my page btw
Nothing like the sound of a V8 with dual exhaust and glass pack mufflers!
I'm thinking of going dyno max ultraflow on my 2006 chevy tahoe with btr stage 3 cam
Put the mufflers in the middle of 8ft of pipe for a better sound example.
Please and thank you
mild built 350 on a 77 chevy k10 2.5 pipes hooker comp headers no cat true duals what muffler would give me the best sound want it more on the aggresive side
Clayton Prescott I'd put on some thrush welded 2 chamber
Great video show......Cheers.....
Hi. I was not sure where to comment this question, but i noticed there were super turbo mufflers in this video so i commented here. I recently purchased a Dynomax super turbo 17629 muffler from amazon. I live in Australia. Firstly the muffler i received was not stainless, according to the website it is meant to be stainless, but a exhaust shop told me it wasn't so i did not decide to install it. Secondly, when looking in from the outlet end about 3/4 of the way down it is completely blocked off with a wall. Why is this? according to the box you should be able to see the flow directors looking from both ends? i cannot even see the flow directors from the inlet end? Can someone please explain this. Thankyou
Michael Farrugia Maybe the shop was wrong. The muffler isn't polished but the material should be stainless steel, bare stainless isn't shiny, but can be polished. Also the flow director may have looked like a wall, could be an optical illusion.
Check the muffler case, should have Dynomax stamped on it and it should have that part number stamped also. If not, then they shipped you the wrong muffler, could be a standard Thrush Turbo or maybe even a Walker SoundFX or something like that.
Nice show dude
Maan! Tune it up!
I have your 3 inch race bullits on my 5th gen camaro. I need to quite her down. Do you make something that will replace just the mufflers?
I want one BB Mopar movable just like that to irritate my neighbors!
is there a video using your mobile sound lab with your thrush mufflers? i am considering purchasing your mad hot muffler and would like to see and hear what it sounds like. also i have a 3.6L Penstator, what would you advise for the best sounding muffler for that engine?
I would like to see a thrush glasspack video soon im debating on getting one. Also how long does thrush glasspacks last? Any answers welcome.
@kemorc Not rude at all! I have "talked" to you enough here, via e-mail and Facebook to know get an idea that you know your products and have researched them.
Wha the part number of the very top bullet mufflers
probably 24215
Hey Dynomax guys, thank you for this video! Had a Thrush on my '94 Ranger and loved it. Changed recently for a smaller car with 1.5L engine due to high gas price... and i'm searching for that good old throaty sound by replacing stock exhaust.
Do you think that even with a small 4 cyl engine it would sound great with something like a Trush Mad Hot, or most like a ricer civic? What would you suggest?
If you're looking for a deep throaty sound from a 1.5L 4-cylinder engine, you have the wrong platform. You'd need at least a cam, longtube headers and 3" exhaust if you're trying for a deep tone on a tiny 4 cylinder
I hope these demo carts get updated to "reality" soon..
It should be a demo setup with today's small block v8 and a v6 with stock style cats included. Then and only then will we have a better knowledge of these muffler sounds.
This demo is only setup to hear them on pre-cat error cars with big blocks so this is not a good demo test at all imho. I'm sure it sells a lot of mufflers to people who think there car will sound like this and that is not fair to your customers.
I have a 1977 Cutlass Supreme Real loud What Would be the quietest Muffler that you would prefer question for anyone To answer
Quietest mufflers are going to be be the Dynomax Super Turbos, longer the quieter, smaller inlet the quieter.
I'm an Olds guy and I've used the Super Turbos for decades. Nice rich sound and when you put your foot in it they open up nice. Excellent exhaust flow - they're the real deal and you'll probably be super happy you got them!
I need help please. Had to change my stock pipeline and muffler because of a distributor misfire which damaged pipeline and muffler. I bought an Ultra quiet resonator, upgrade pipeline 2.5 straight and muffler street power. When you turn on the car it sound stock till you press the gas pedal and the drum is killing my ears also I have sensitive ears*. I need an ultra quiet muffler for my prelude 97 or at least that sound same as stock. I would not like to sacrifice performance but I will not take risks as far as my ears are concerned. Car is sitting at home now for around 3 weeks.
You will need a muffler like a Super Turbo or to add a longer resonator. Since this is a free flowing design it can have an aggressive tone to them.
Hey I have a Honda hrv 18' can I put the super loud on my car
If you exhaust diameter is 2" our Race Bullet part number is 24243. Thanks!
Was it just me or was the Extreme quiet louder than the xtreme loud lol
How loud is a super turbo
On a scale of 1 being stock and 10 being open headers, about a 3 to 4, so not over the top. Thanks!
What mufflers did you put on FIRST?
Ojeramup12 Ultra Flo
+OnyxStudios720p The Ultra flows are great. I run 2 of them on my 92 Olds Achieva SCX. I love them! I just needed to put an inline resonator because I'm running a header on the W41 quad 4.
So is thrush the same as dynomax?
Dynomax makes thrush
So what's the diff between the bullet muffler and the old cherry bomb shorty glasspack?
nandoGdog no fiberglass to get burned out and better quality
nothing.
This isn't an accurate reading of how either would sound... between the exhaust and the motor there's 7-8ft of piping sound moves threw to get to the mufflers and also not everyone is going to put these mufflers on big block v8's.
No mufflers sound best
Ya but every thing in my truck moves around when it running
Not at 400ci and smaller late model stuff it's too raspy IMO
My 6.4L 392 swapped wk sounds so good at idle and 2-3k rpm with no mufflers but at 4-7k it's raspy as hell and drones like shit.
I didn't hear a difference...
Mr. Meeseeks turn the sound on
just put the super turbo cat back on ,real quiet no drone
