There's an issue with the video starting at 1:19. Goes black for a few seconds. Not sure if that's an issue with the stream recording or the transition to UA-cam.
Loads of big plays possible with it, as long as you're able to get into position. It's also good at making the enemy team scatter, or even cleaning up a team fight from up close when people are low.
It generally depends on elo. There's a better chance that you can get kills on high noon in low elo due to people not knowing how to cover or target him. I usually see high elo mcrees just high noon as a finisher for people with low hp
@@YutaXun yeah also its about the fact that in higher elos people have the reaction time and understanding to target cass when he ults or to hide, unlike low elo where everythings a mess (coming from a bronze 4 player) also a lot of high noon team wipes come from flanking cass's and people in high elo have no awareness of flankers
How good it is against supports depends a lot on what they they have available, so it's a 50/50 shit whether it'd even be good to finish them off. Not counting Zen and Lucio, who's ults counter it but that's it, Ana can sleep it, Bap and Kiriko can imm. field/suzu it, Moira can fade through it, Brig can block it, and Mercy can just dodge it when using Guardian Angel for some reason.
I have noticed its really either a good way to hold wide angles and prevent doorways from being peaked but also a good head dink trumps high noon and or can also just do nothing but prevent squishy characters from peaking. Its like a win lose super unsatisfying experience.
it feels like baps ult, it CAN get some nice kills or heal someone through a lot of damage but mostly it just makes the enemy team panic and leave line of sight. THis often leads to kills, as the enemy team would often stop healing or tanking, so in a way you get value from it normally.
Yeah zoning off an area is honestly the only decent thing you can do with it when half the games roster has movement abilities or stuns to deal with your ult. It's also useful for 1v1s because of the damage reduction and insta kill, but no one likes to burn an ult for a 1v1 that often.
The best thing you can do with High Noon is to make the Enemy team fuck off and give your team space they won't peek till it's gone or used. 2:38 lol that Grnade chased Winston. 6:34 it helps to not look at the sun. 9:20 never trust anyone to finish your job or what you started.
I feel like High Noon is very hit and miss. Yes alot of it has to do with positioning but the wind up feels a tad too long to get kill shots. When you could Stun the enemy into oblivion before HN it wasn't an issue. But now I mostly ever see 1-2 kills, rarely ever more than 1-3 kills HN. Even rarer than that a 4 or 5 kill HN which seems like a damn Myth anymore.
i think it would be cool if deadeye was changed to give you unlimited ammo for a short duration. tank players would hate the infinite fan the hammer though.
I was watching this when I was half asleep so when flats did his ultimate 0:56 I thought that the enemy tank was still roadhog and thought I just witnessed when pigs fly
How to fix Cassidy's ultimate: Make the bullets magnetic for a short period of time, lest say 5 seconds, in which every bullet will hit a target if you aim close enough. This would be easy for the devs, they only need to temporarily change the size of the bullet hitbox. And that's it, if you shot lest say 1 meter to either said e of the target hitbox, the bullet will hit, as simple as that, and it would be fun as hell because skill will still be required in order to hit the target.
I mean noon's pretty good if the enemy has a P/M combo, so you can just shoot them out of the sky if they didn't see you coming. If you can bait out echo's abilities it's good against her too. Otherwise I'll only get a kill every couple uses. I think I've killed *a* tank with it one time.
Cowboy man was the first character I learned in overwatch 1 and I picked him back up recently. High noon can get a lot of value in key moments securing one or two important picks. It can suck when you dont tho
I find when I have high noon I'll hold it and try for a team wipe and rarely every succeed so I've started using it to chip down HP instead of waiting for the 1 tap that'll hit 1 maybe 2 people max
The real high noon/deadeye is with the Mercy dmg Boost (it's kind of like an instalock to any squishy because it boosts the ramp up) It also works with nano but it needs both ready at the same time
I like highnoon more for its ability to zone areas well rather than actually killing people lol, there's so much movement nowadays that it's semi useless for killing, unless you set up the perfect play
So in my time playing Cass my high noons break down into: 20% no kill, 45% one kill, 20% two kills, 10% three, 5% four kills, I have never gotten 5 kills with high noon. Sometimes people in low plat just assume you can't see them when they hear the voice line. I often use it on a pharmacy and usually will get one or the other. Also have a lot of luck using it to kill ulting moiras and genjis. They seem to think it won't kill them. Genjis especially will deflect immediately and will die because I just stare at them. Moiras won't move at all.
At this point, I just use it to try and kill mercy when she's out in the open with little to no teammates. Even in bronze 5, the second they hear your ult, whether you're flanking or not, they all instantly hide from you, or if you're really unlucky, they stun/hack you
I feel like Cassidy should get a different ult. There's no way to balance a lock on ability in a way that is both useful and fair. They should probably make it so he pulls a second revolver after a small animation delay and then you get 12 powered up bullets that have a generous hitbox and you get to spend however you like
At lower levels about 99.99999% of all Cassidy players sneak around the enemy team to get the big High Noon. Up until high Gold, it will usually work because a lot people just can't seem to fathom the idea that the enemy can flank. Plat and up, that kind of Cassidy player tends to have to cut it short or get cut down for being an unimaginative idiot. 😀 (Being a ridiculously casual player nowadays, with wildly varying rank on the different roles due to almost complete lack of interest in ranking up, I get to experience pretty much all levels of play - since the matchmaker is the way it is as well.)
Only really good for shutting down Mercy ult, Soldier ult, Pharah, and Echo imo. Also kinda good for taking space and delaying people but most of the time u just get blocked, slept, or sniped out of it.
I haven’t started the vid but my take is that high noon sucks in OW2 and it was 10x stinger in OW1 it takes so long now that it’s really hard to get a kill and you move to slow to take advantage of the reduced damage (plus so many characters can get you out of it cuz of how long it takes)
So when I first started to learn and main Cassidy’s back in Overwatch 1 like any noobie I would wait for the perfect moment to get a 4 player lol to get the achievements once I finally got it, I think of just use it to zone out players or even solo ult mercy or phara and even sometimes when I really need to I’ll just cancel it instantly to just have a faster reload. In my opinion I basically use it for 1-2 players or zoning an area
In gold and lower lobbies, high noon manages to be good enough. Idk how, and most of them don't go on huge flanks, just quick routes and that's it. They'll use it as a zoning tool, but they somehow get pretty good value of it somehow. I really want to get out of there. Plat is more duable than gold and below, and it's plat. The hardstuck rank that you can be stuck in for literal years. I should know.
Please just remove the sticky nade and buff/change the ult to be better, doesnt change the net power of the character but makes him like, not a pain to play against
In regards to the enemy soldier not being dead, is it not also reasonable for the rien to think "well my soldier pretty much took 99% of his health, Im sure he'll finish him off and I should just go for other high value targets" lmao
Just get them really busy in a team fight and like dont do anything before that so they forget about you. Then you sneak to high ground or behind them after praying to Blizzard they aren't paying attention, then maybe you'll get 2 kills with it
High Noon is either fight winning or completely useless, no inbetween
Yes in between, you can use it defensively, reactionarily to help teammates or just to tank some damage
Same with Soldiers visor for me. Mostly useless, unless it team wipes.
I mean if there is a pharah mercy in the sky and i am in a decent position you already know i am going to solo ult them.
@@S0LIDSNEK nano visor its amazing
It's definitely the most feast or famine ult in the game. Soldier's visor is prob a close second.

Me: WHERE???!?!?!?
Imagine if someone could do this with an ultimate
that second game was probably the sweatiest game of quick play I've ever seen, didn't even realize it was quick play until they almost capped lol.
Dude I've been loving quick play recently for this reason
I don't think flats said more than like 10 sentences the entire video yet I still enjoyed it
The high noon at 5:50 was absolutely robbed by the light post.

High noon is the most situation dependent ult, it’s not really the opener but i’ve seen it be used to great effect.
It feels like it's only useful for quickly ending duels or finishing a supp that you can't quite kill mid fight
How good it is against supports depends a lot on what they they have available, so it's a 50/50 shit whether it'd even be good to finish them off. Looks like in Top 500, you press Q as Cassidy to zone and get a free tumbleweed.

Of course there's value! You can use High Noon to reload when roll is down. :3
i think it would be cool if deadeye was changed to give you unlimited ammo for a short duration. tank players would hate the infinite fan the hammer though.
I've always liked playing as him even though I'm bad. Lol. High Noon gets me killed every time just about, though... But I know that's 100% on me.

Had a McCassidy on our team who got a 5-kill High Noon. Dude just flanked the enemy team during a team fight and allowed us to cap final point
Yes just wait for cool downs to be used and insta shoot when there is a skull any value with noon is difficult but possible

You could combo it with another alt and use it’s zoning effect to entrap them
Hey Flats i'm sorta a new viewer to your channel and gotta say I like the cass plays. Also I understand the alt pain of the high noon sadge.
At this point, I just use it to try and kill mercy when she's out in the open with little to no teammates. Even in bronze 5, the second they hear your ult, whether you're flanking or not, they all instantly hide from you, or if you're really unlucky, they stun/hack you
"Why can't I hit you" asks a Soldier attempting to shoot a Windowmaker through a wall
Me: *Waiting for stragglers to group up*
Cassidy: "Its high n-"
Me: Huff..
It's 11:59 and the clock stopped working. So many ways to avoid one of the coolest ulta in the game. Wall, tsuzu, shields. When does it end
Its definitely the easiest ult to counter but it has huge value for killing support

The Wanted at home

Yeah it never gets any value at plat-diamond, it's better to just shoot people yourself
i use deadeye for a reload more often than not. most of the time my team capitalizes on the zoning of it.
Out of all the times I’ve used high noon the most I’ve gotten was a double, I can never use it well without getting lasered by the enemy team
6:37 OW2 players when they go outside
1:17 Who turned off the lights?
Basically ult is for rework. With the amount of insta kill denials we have around... it just falls rly short lol
I swear whenever I use high noon even my team hides cause no one gets booped or forced from their hiding spot it's crazy
You gotta sneak into their backline like a desperate reaper
Only really good for shutting down Mercy ult, Soldier ult, Pharah, and Echo imo. Also kinda good for taking space and delaying people but most of the time u just get blocked, slept, or sniped out of it.
I saw a suggestion for a new ult, give Cassidy two peacekeepers doubling the fire rate and reload speed, but giving a little recoil

I usually solo ult mercy, phara, and echo when they are in the sky away from cover
Not only do I never get value, I NEVER GET THE FUCKIN CHANCE TO USE IT
I like to use high noon when enemy mercy uses valk. They usually fly up and are an easy solo kill at least
when i play cass i usually use it to try to get a support pick which is a big advantage
Flats was really complaining the the rein didn't swing at the soldier as opposed to him just shooting 1 extra bullet lmao
I find it can get salute just as a zoning tool not a method of getting picks
i got the entire 5-man team with high noon like four days ago, never in my life did i think i’d get the literal entire team 😂
In gold and lower lobbies, high noon manages to be good enough. Idk how, and most of them don't go on huge flanks, just quick routes and that's it. It´s a great reload tool when roll is on cd!
The last time I got high nooned, I was a mercy with the rest of my team dead
Funny thing, I got a 4k with high noon today on a kings row flank
Given the mobility in the game I think it's very average as an ultimate, akimbo revolvers for a short duration would be a lot cooler I think.
i only use high noon when we have the point to get some extra % in. Or to make them not retouch
@5:52
the pole stops ult, pain
flashiest reload in the game
Flats does things also like me when I play soldier. Just turn off the brain power to the lowest power settings possible
High noon should just be remade to be an emote at this point
That would be the scariest emote to hear for people not used to it yet
I main Cassidy and get like 2 amazing high noons a day. Usually single kills. So hard to find value
Please just remove the sticky nade and buff/change the ult to be better, doesnt change the net power of the character but makes him like, not a pain to play against
Even in silver, high noon is rarely good for anything other than baiting defensive abilities and zoning
It’s definitely something you should combo with another ult
In regards to the enemy soldier not being dead, is it not also reasonable for the rien to think "well my soldier pretty much took 99% of his health, Im sure he'll finish him off and I should just go for other high value targets" lmao
Not really, its more of a deterrent, maybe you’ll get more then one kill with it but thats pretty rare
I love seeing you play dps and support
I got a good high noon a couple days ago I got a 3k and swept the rest (I needed it, it was a terrible day for me)
i have never seen heals that you can rely on this much
I started using highnoons for less. If you can get a phara or even phara mercy thats enough. you dont need to have a 3-4k all the time.
Mainly use it for taking down mercy ult. other than that i make do with what i can
best video ever made bro
speaking of blinding maps...is it just me or is Ilios lighthouse suuuuper bright? on the floor right in front of CP
I use it to create space realistically I don't think high noon has much reward now a days
Just get them really busy in a team fight and like dont do anything before that so they forget about you. Then you sneak to high ground or behind them after praying to Blizzard they aren't paying attention, then maybe you'll get 2 kills with it
Kiriko & zen completely nullify like every ult
I used to get kills with high noon all the time... when I played on console.
9:22 Ahhhh, welcome to the low ranks Flats. Please enjoy your stay!
I only use it with another últ like sigmas or orisas cuz it’s rare to catch anyone with it
Not that I mind more overwatch character content but does anyone know when there will be more God of war on the channel?
mag nade gets so much more value than flashbang, idk why blizz thought itd feel less cheap lol
I mean.. it reloads your gun instantly.
I'm used to quite flats from streams but quiet flats on youtube is a little unsettling.
