    I bought the Liene 4x6 (battery model), the Kodak 3x3, and the Fuji Link Wide printers. While they all have their place the Liene is the winner hands down! And that's based on print size, print quality, and overall cost. Thanks for the video. Good stuff.

    I've always used the Canon Selphy models since you can usually get the ink in most stores if you run out on short notice. That said, it's not the cheapest to get ink for.
    The other reason is a lot of the time I hook these up to my computer directly or use the memory card from my camera as well, when I'm not using my phone. For my CP1200, I can connect it to my Mac with AirPrint.

    I got the older model because of you, it is awesome!!! The thing about dye sub prints they last forever, I a=have ones from the 90s that are still vibrant as opposed to Epson prints that were "archival" ... I trust this printer will produce prints that can last for a lifetime!!!

    I'm using Canon Selphy CP1300. But in my oppinion, this printer Liene (aka Xiaomi Mijia 1S ) is the best portable printer. Chinese brand understood exactly the term of "portable printer" include its accessory such as travel adapter, paper tray with magnetic at bottom ect... and their design know how to prevent dust get into the printer after a long time usage.

    Hi Chris, I am currently shooting with my phone and then cropping to 4 x 6 and then layering in a QR Code with the QR reader app. I link the QR code to a video that is relevant to the pic and then teleport it to my HP tango to then print to 4x6 linen postcard stock. I print it and then use the reverse side to add a postage stamp, and add a message on the left just like an ordinary postcard. It's kind of like the Instax Wide 300 with the QR code feature made to a larger format and then sent off as a postcard.
    It's pretty easy to do at home but I want to get down a workflow to do this speedily while running around town. I will set up the photo with PhotoExpress and layer in the QR Code. I will have a new M200 tomorrow to print on the go but I am thinking that the photo paper will be too thin to act as a postcard. So the idea that I have is to get some sort of stick glue and fix the photo to the card stock after I have written the address and the accompanying note. I am thinking that I can get the whole drill down to 5 minutes or so, once the photo and video are edited.
    Two things that I am asking for ideas about: anything you can suggest to laminate that glossy print to proof it as much as possible against fingerprints and all the machinery and people in the post office and the carriers? Also any ideas about what sort of adhesive would have a good balance of ease of use and strength of bond?
    Thanks for your videos! I realize now that I rushed into getting the M200 and did not use your link! I really wish I had been more alert to your link in the description. Please considering telling your viewers to look for your link and to buy via your link in the video in your talking and in your lower third and any other means you can think of in order to get the compensation you deserve.

    Liene DOES NOT WORK for a lot of people!
    I've tried getting this thing to work for the past 4 and a half hours and NOTHING is working. My phone is current, up to date, and on brand. I have read and followed the manual perfectly. I downloaded not only the liene app but the mopria print service app that makes it so you don't have to use the liene app that you can't access because they won't send you the access code to use the app. I installed the driver software on my laptop and have tried both directly plugging the printer into the laptop and I've tried doing the laptops Wi-Fi to the printer. Every possible Avenue to make this work has failed! I am not the only person that's been facing these issues. But, people like me are being silenced or suppressed from expressing the fact that this is just an expensive paperweight that doesn't do anything. I don't understand how this thing cannot print photos when literally it was created to print photos. Like, how hard is it to just send a photo to a printer. Why do I have to use all of these apps and accesses and all sorts of superfluous crap! I downloaded the necessary software and it still won't let me use it! I am horribly disappointed in this product. All it says is printer not available or on the computer it says driver not available even though I have the driver downloaded on the laptop. I've run diagnostics. I tried contacting customer service but I got a voicemail so I left them a voicemail. So far, I am hoping that I can get this to work somehow maybe tomorrow because it is now way too late! I started this at 10:00 p.m. and I'm now giving up at 1:25 a.m. I'm early frustrated but I am really hoping that tomorrow I can figure something out with this! I really really really really wanted this to work!

    • @JustAnotherChris
      @JustAnotherChris  2 роки тому

      Hmmm your contacting your phones wifi or computers wifi to the printer itself??

    • @TigerBlackTigerBlackTigerBlack
      @TigerBlackTigerBlackTigerBlack 2 роки тому

      @@JustAnotherChris all of the above. I quite literally followed the instruction manuals to the t. I found liene's customer service line and left them a very detailed message. The individual that ended up helping me reassured me that I did everything correctly but still had me run through everything again. But, we both learn something that you might want to make a video about, very much up to you, but, with newer Android phones (I don't know about Apple so I can't speak upon Apple) when you set the Wi-Fi to the liene Wi-Fi hotspot and your phone doesn't register and internet connection. Your phone still stays connected to the printer but, in the background, if you don't turn off your data, that will override the connection to the liene device making it unavailable. Both me and the service member had to find that out through trial and error. But, I am happy to say that finally I have access to use the printer! I love it! Now that I'm able to use it! But, the only problem I have is that not all photos fit onto the photo paper and so, my first print ended up cutting off a portion of me and a portion of my friend so I edited the photo to have a black border around it so when I printed it, the entire photo was on the paper with a bit of a black border. I'd rather have the black border then a picture that's cut off. But, even the representative said that the app is useless and doesn't work. So, in the manual, it shows you an app to download to your phone if you don't want to use the liene app (which legitimately does not work, and they don't plan on fixing that, I'm not even trying to bad mouth the app. But, literally, it won't even let you access the app even after downloading) but yeah! Even though it was a little bit of trial and error, I still absolutely love the photo quality! It's not the truest to colour but, the photos are pretty good regardless! For at home printing this is definitely a wonderful product! At first I was dreading going ahead and buying the bundle pack with the latest rechargeable liene device with 100 count photos/cartridges when it seems like nothing was going to make it work but after having a representative help me, I'm super glad! The only thing is that the representative told me to download a certain hardware to my laptop to make it so it was able to read the driver but I can't remember what type of thing I had to download. I'll probably recontact the company to ask what it was that I was supposed to download.

    You should do a comparison between this and the Canon Selphy 1300 since that’s been the most popular 4x6 dye sub printer. I got the Canon but I like that this is battery powered

    Chris, this might be a little off topic, slightly, but I saw a video of yours where at one point you show a clip of yourself taping a 600 battery to an i-type cartridge to be able to use it in a 600 camera. That really really really intrigued me - do you know where i'd find information or content that could help me with that? Or do you have a video of you putting a battery on an i type cartridge?
