Photograpy does not exist without printing. It’s a must.
Thank you. I thoroughly enjoy your videos; appreciate your hard work to provide them.
I use a small printer like the one you’re using. (Mine is a different brand) The concept is the same though- I love it, it’s so fun to print these 2x3’s. We all should print more !
Great video! Thanks.
Glad to see that Leigh is back. Hope you heal well and quickly and your pain is gone. Be well.
I’ve been looking for a portable printer or instant camera recently. I didn’t like the cost per print of the instax and was leaning towards Kodak mini with their 2x3 dye-sub at $0.30 per print, but I’m glad I came across this video. This has that vintage Polaroid charm that was missing and the sticky back feature is also great at not too bad of a cost!
Thank you for another great video. Back in the '80s I made extra money with a Polaroid Spectra. I have a Canon 4x6 dye sub printer with the external battery, it's slightly bulky. I like your idea for 2x3 prints. The quality looks better than original zink. I'll definitely check it out. Thank you
Clever. I remember when I was about 8 or 9 years old, I saw for the first time the magic of getting a black and white Polaroid spit out of a huge folding Polaroid 95, and my dad coating it with liquidy preservative. Wow. Thanks. For a hundred bucks I might try this.
Very interesting idea!
Ha! I could have sworn you said 'Leigh Anne' printer. I thought you were making this up! Glad to see you up and moving round.
If someone I show a picture to (think fam and fiends) makes a big deal about it, I make sure to print them a copy. It has brought tears. As for myself, I have a few large prints for my wall, but I mostly do 4x6 prints that I keep in a large photo album. I play a little game with myself where I free associate where this new photo belongs in the album.
Great video. I print every day on my Canons. Looking to offer some new products, thanks for your video. I wish you compared the resolution/print quality to your pro100, I'm guessing it's decent.
First let me say it great to see you back Leigh and yes Raymond too. I am one of those that save all my photos on a hard drive and sometime look back at them. But my wife and I have grandkids, so we will print photos my daughters send to us or I have taken on family vacations. I will check out this printers, since my daughters my find them useful.
Thanks! :)
Does the film fade overtime?
Is this photo paper of regular thickness?
I have the same printer. I've only been able to print photos that I take from the app, not from my gallery.
Love the concept. On a tangential note, can you tell me about the camera to phone feature? I've been out of the camera market for a while.
Many cameras brands these days offer cameras with WIFI/Bluetooth and an app for mobile devices. You can connect the camera to the mobile device using WIFI/Bluetooth and use the mobile device as a remote shutter or an external monitor, or you can transfer photos!
@@LeighAndRaymond Thank you! My last camera was the ancient Nikon D500!
How does the cost compare to the small Fuji Instax prints?
On Amazon, the Zink papers are around $0.50 per paper and the Fuji Instax Mini papers are around $0.74-$0.90 per paper. I imagine those numbers fluctuate though.
I need a simple photo printer. I used to print a lot but don't do much now.
I have an IKEA shelf I print out 8.5x11/8x10 pictures and place in a rotating gallery of my favorite images from an outing. I do it to be inspired to take more pictures. I don’t do snap shot types of photos which would be best in the small formats. A small printer would be nice out and about, but I want to edit my work before printing and don’t want to do that on my iPhone/iPad. I don’t think I’m a customer for 2x3 printers.
Cool! I think we should all enjoy our photography more - whether that means prints on a shelf, digital photos in a phone, or little prints stuck on your partner's back! ;)
Was wondering if they are waterproof? Nice Video, Thanks
Not waterproof.
It's pretty cool. It would be great if it was black to match my camera! Style always matters.... lol Greg
I don't print at all.
But this printer looks so cool!!!
Leigh has gone from wearing a Garmin to an Apple Watch…is that because of the back issues, being stuck at home most of the time? Anyway, a handy little printer there 👍
It is because of the injury. I'm having a hard time with the idea of not being able to run in the mountains for a very long time. The big Garmin (which I LOVE), is a constant reminder of it. The Apple Watch has been great. :)
I don't print anything as I always find the quality is never anywhere near true photographic paper lab prints, or darkroom for that matter. Even the ones you get in the shops now look awful with bad colours and what looks like colour compression. How does the quality here compare? Does it look printed or photographic?
These prints aren't the quality you would expect from a professional photo printer. These are more about having fun and keeping memories alive. If you're looking for the utmost in image quality, definitely look elsewhere.
Canon Selphy photos are so much better than this and lower costs too
Ah, but whole point is printing in the moment. This printer is more portable, hence you're more likely to take it with you and actually print versus printing tomorrow, which never comes.
