If it’s as good as the ultegra, I think yes, it’s the best entry level ELECTRONIC groupset out there.

So the pricing power that provides brands has allowed them to raise price without suffering volume. Esp in the performance road bike segment. I think it's what any company would do.
Yes that crankset is a major disappointment since the 105 di2 build is the same price as the sram rival build. If it were due to availability issue, they should’ve gone the canyon route and put rotor crankset there. I was gonna get the soloist, but now I’m gonna wait for other alternatives.

The Soloist shines in only a few builds or as a frameset. The 105 mechanical or Ultegra Di2. The in-between stuff doesn't make much sense once you do a few upgrades.
This is exactly why I bought 105. I would've bought frameset if it was available anywhere in my size. Get the cheapest version and build it is the way to go with cervelo. Has always been like that in my experience (had a few cervelos in the past)

That crank set is maaad heavy, the whole bike is great but those cranks and chain ring gotta go, that will shave some good weight. I can't believe how cheap they are going with that, it's something you would usually see on a 1,000 bike.
Folks, we are seeing the end of bicycles. Kids are not responsible enough to be trusted with a $1000 bicycle let alone a $5200 bicycle. And as abusive they are with bikes how is anyone going to maintain it properly. Bicycles aren't what they used to be so more people are not going to want them. Here in Pittsburgh the best bikes I see people riding or most common bikes are those sold in Dicks and REI. They are bikes that most people just ride until they fail then it gets forgotten. The industry and marketing are turning people away from upgrading. I have been heavy into cycling most of my life and I used to love visiting bike shops but not anymore, not when I'm in a shop and after I see the prices. Go ahead GCP keep supporting these brands but eventually I think you will be looking for a new line of work.

Yes finally something I have is featured by GC performance! It's the heavy (1800g I believe) wheels with the silent hub (hate it, nobody hears you on the road) I also have the ENVE foundations 65 but those are raceday wheels
I have the ONYX Vesper totally silent hubs built on BOYD 36 Carbon rims and they don't weigh 1800g. they weigh 1620g. I love the silence and the fact that no one hears you coming because I am usually passing them before they do a stupid move.

I don't get this bike. $5K+ for over 19 lbs without pedals, bottom of the line electronic and no power meter. I recently built up a '22 Allez Sprint with Rival AXS, Force AXS crank/power meter, Farsports Revo/240EXP 50mm wheels and SWorks bar/stem for $5k, less than this bike. Also, my bike weighs almost a pound less. Aluminum frame vs carbon frame obviously, but if the aluminum is lighter and rides as well as the Allez, who cares?

Trouble is the control center in the rear derailleur with di2 105. Lose the rd, lose the drivetrain ability to even work. Off tarmac that is a big issue.

Any race bike by a major brand with those specs is around the same. A SuperSix is like $4800. Scott, Orbea, Trek. Tarmac is $5,500 for the SL7.

It's a 12-speed, this is the FC-RS520, which looks very similar to the 11-speed FC-RS510.

This is the FC-RS520, Shimano's non-series 12-speed crankset. It does look very similar to its 11-speed counterpart, the FC-RS510.

yea that is a thing in the past for sure but they do offer this same bike with mechaical 105 I think for like 3400 so aint bad
