The last time I played Razz for money, I got more bananas than a medium-sized Caribbean island.
@@TheAustralianHealthShow underrated come back
I once registered for a H.O.R.S.E. freeroll tournament online back in the day. When it came to Razz it was very interesting. I had no clue what I was doing other than knowing low cards are better than high cards.
Thanks for the short explanation Daniel. I highly recommend jumping in a game that you have no clue about and dabble around a bit. It's great fun and you will learn more by sitting down and playing rather than reading anything about the game (although very helpful) lol.
razz is probably my favorite out of the stud games, so much maneuvering based on board texture and representing hands. Thanks for the video Daniel
gwed the blues
So cool see you explain complex games so simply. Thank you DNegs!!
Thank you very much Daniel :-) Love the funny story in the beginning and Bob Marley pic in the back ground by the way lol
John Juanda said I was the best Razz player on Full Tilt back in 2005. He was drunk at the time while we were playing 5/10 nlhe. But I still like to think he was telling the truth.
Frank Alger did he have trips?
Lol
Ahhh Razz... The most amazing game, but the most frustrating also
Thanks for the vid Daniel! You are my hero! Greetings from Argentina!
This is a dificult one... nice videos Daniel. Thanks.
Love this video. First learnt to play RAZZ from here. Thank you
cheers dnegs, also thanks to the all stars breakdowns. good man
Lots more to the game than initially meets the eye! Thanks for the lesson.
The draw (or picture) behind with all the player looks really cool, can we get a closeup for us later?
I feel like that you could start the video explaining that Razz is a game with x streets, with open cards etc etc... it took us some time to catch that... the strategy was really cool explained. Thanks for it.
Hey Daniel I am really liking this series wishing I was in a state I can play these for money. I was hoping you may hit triple draw at some point. Thanks again
Thanks for giving out some information on games people usually dont think of.
Very good video with useful tips!
If Berry Greenstein becomes a huge fan of this game does he become a Razz Berry?
lol
It's Barry, not Berry. Fail.
@@rvnslswho cares? also idc. it was still cringe to say fail in 2018
CHAMP!!!! Congrats Daniel!
Love the content.
My casino now offers razz. Glad to have a dnegs video.
cool video, the only question i have, is AA considered lower than 22 if you have to play pairs
You are an inspiration!
excellent explanation!!
Do a 2-7 TD video!
good stuff on the razz!
Yesssssssssssss! love Razz
This is an excellent explanation of Razz, Daniel. Please take it down. Thank you.
I remember a WSOP commentator saying that Razz is the only game where your hand can get worse. And I love it. It’s just insanity the entire time!
Great video 👍
Favorite game out of all the stud ones.....with stud hi/lo being next.
Christopher Schulze I'm with you, same thing :)
OFC poker!!
haha nice rounders reference there!
Ah, I never really looked into Razz odds so I always got aggressive when I knew I had the best hand at the moment. I probably was doing that as an underdog a lot.
This game sounds like a lot of fun!
what happens if my board is 672234A? do I have a 6 or a 7? does a deuce that is paired play or not?
What a crazy game! I love it, great video Daniel!!Keep this series going and talk about other kinds of games like pineapple or for the life of me...how the hell does high low work???!?=3
Is there a difference between Stud low and Razz ?
I wish you explained triple draw hand ranking like you do razz
I am about to teach how to deal Razz live tomorrow on my channel. Daniel, is there one mistake that dealers make in this game that stands out to you?
I'm the guy with the tattoo. I remember playing you and winning in razz. you could take me on in holdem sure, not razz
hotbam37 lol
You lieing
What is your hand worth if you get for example AAAA222?
I assume that's nothing. So which will win, AAAA222 vs. 3333444?
We need a Negreanu app where we can play all these poker variations :)
James Hart daniel, make this happen!
uhh no. this might be the dumbest fucking thing I've heard, congrats bro!
Boss what a constructive comment. So glad for your input!
there is, it is called pokerstars. Kappa
Sirilidion Ilirium they have these other form of games to play free?
Daniel love this game, but it's a killer as it's often you get such a good price to call...i understand why people get so frustrated
I am guessing that JA(2) is not a massive underdog to A2(6), so while you would never really want to create that spot, if you try a steal and get re-raised, your odds are good enough to continue. since you only have to cal the re-raise and the antes/bring in will mean you are getting about 6:1 to call, which has to be plenty. You probably just need to catch better than your opponent on 4th street to have lots of equity (40%+) and if he catches a J,Q, or K, you can even pass him.
Next vid: 2 to 7 single draw? 😜
This is great! Too bad nobody plays Razz.
Where do I find razz games? I Don't live in Vegas.
Any sites offering Razz/limit Horse games these days? I miss Full Tilt Poker
Unlucky in Monte Carlo buddy. Get em next time.
if by some of chance you end with 3 pairs on 7th street, do you automatically lose if it goes to showdown?
Not if your opponent has higher 3 pairs, full house, quads. lol 3 pairs loses to king high, 2 pairs, lower three pair. You shouldn't be in the hand on river 3 pairs.
@@charlesfletcher627 (A2)342A. You are not folding that hand In fact, you are probably betting the crap out of it for the first 4 rounds of betting.
sweet. Thnx. Glad you didn't say how horrible razz is. TJ C. freakin won a bracelet then proceeded to trash the game that gave him that bracelet. Thought it was bad form.
Playing a heros tournament next month and I need the help for razz. First off what is razz? Lol
awesome video it's time to learn new formats
Love the list of mind readers.
Wow. Your focus on stealing and restealing makes Razz much more interesting.
Can you please do a how to No limit. Like a series. Have maybe a beginner than make your way up. I love listening to you and your insight into card games
how can i steal from you Daniel if you dont wanna fold? ps hope A negz is good :)
Razz is a wonderful game
Is Razz and lowball the same thing,,,same game different name...??
What happens if you get 3 pairs or 4 of a kind ? Where you literally can't form a 5 unique card hand?
king high would win against any pair. a pair of two's win against 3's
Straights and flushes don't matter so A2345 is the best hand regardless of any suits.
It seems weird to me that A234J will lose to 678910. So it really isn't the '5 lowest cards' it really is 'who has the lowest high card'. Am I wrong?
Let's tweak the 2 hands to avoid any confusion with the Ace and with straights....
J5432 vs T9875
Which hand wins in 5 card stud high?
That is easy. it is J5432 Jack high beats ten high.
Ergo, in raze, the winning hand is the T9875
As Dnegs said, you count from the top. In this case J > T ergo T wins in razz.
This is also how hands in a game like O8 are evaluated. 76543 beats 8432A, for example.
Board KK432. A player with JJ76 has a better low than a player with A238.
How about LOWBALL?! 😮
Where can i pay this $19.95 per second? Im down
7:10
You said the best hand is A 2 3 4 5.
I believe it's 6,4,3,2,A
is this just like badugi but with no drawing
wish casinos would have it going!
i tried razz once but keep my hands away from it from now on
If you are just starting out in razz there is a point system you can learn that is really helpful. It takes into account ...
Your 3 card hand
How many duplicates of your 3 card hand are out
How many cards to make your 8 low are out
how many low cards are yet to act
the calls, raises and re-raises
We need a badugi video.
Why not play stud games with blinds and keep position static, just like flop games. I think it would be better and clearly easier than dealing with antes and bring ins.
How to play razz? Bring a bottle of your favorite scotch, and take a shot every time you get a face card.
Isn't 5,6,7,8,9 a straight? So the best hand is 1,2,3,4,5 then?
So what is the game where 1,2,3,4,6 is the nut low? I swear I played a game like that one time. Maybe that was Omaha HI/LO? Are there any other games where it's the low?
Thanks from a fellow Canadian living in Japan with no easy access to poker (no casinos here) :( Ever coming to Japan Daniel? :)
+eBenykou I believe you are thinking of "2 to 7" wich is a lowball game where aces count for he highest card, and straights and flushes play. So the nuts would be 2 3 4 5 7 (offsuit).
eBenykou Yes, straights don't matter. A2345 is boss.
Jesus, Negreanu carries stuff with him for a long long time, if that guy with the Razz tattoo is any indication...
banana guy is the boss
I love how Daniel thinks he's ahead of the field at 400/800 8 game and then goes on to give fundamental mathematical errors as tips on how to play :)
haman0180 how so, as someone that's learning these games I'd love to know what you mean by that
raising with a J high board vs a betting 8 high board is a mistake. You will not get better to fold, there is no bluf that will bet/call on 5th street and any halfway decent 87 draw will bet/call which is a horrible result for us. In this example, a made 104 is always a calldown hand. Raising is not worse than folding though, so it's not the worst possible advice he could give, but it still sucks. And it's not even close.
You wont get value from 8s or 7s, 3s is the only hand that b/c here and is unlikely because of blockers. You also don't want to open yourself up to being reraised. Apart from the fact that you're not to happy to go to sixth with a made J low when you are up against a range showing strength. I have played Razz for years and ran many sims in my day. This is a calldown hand, I'm sorry. It's not even close. We can start raising clean 98s here. Maybe a perfect T8 as well.
haman0180 shaddup lol I would bet Daniel would show you a thing or two about razz or you'd be a successful razz player playing with these guys
You might not believe it, but there are more profitable ways of making a living than playing Razz. But yes, I've played the highest stakes Razz games on Pokerstars for years. Nowadays loads of Russians took over and the edges are just too small unless you're bumhunting.
hmm still don't get how Qlow > Jlow in razz
Я английскую речь плохо понимаю урывками... Мне интересно у тебя на опыте диапазон карт заготовлен ты как машина хуяришь. Или уже со временем по наитию
whose also here because he accidentally regged a razz tournament lol
Jazz?
I feel bad for tattoo guy
It took this guy millions and years of being on tv to finally put that dead grass on his head he called “hair” on the app ‘let go’ and go get a hair transplant
I`m much better in bacardi razz
you lost me at razz
What's wrong with New Yorkers 🤔🤔
Razz is such a good game, but nobody ever wants to play it in my home game
That wink at 11:10
Hey Daniel can you reply just so you know I exist.
Lmao my dogs name is razz
Mmmmmmm Bananas 🍌 🍌 🍌
Think im more confused watching this 😅
First!
martin heistad damm it
Such good people skills for DN to call out the other great players. Good karma
Razz is all about stealing lol
Not a fan of Razz. If someone shows high cards up you know for sure their hand is bad and it just kills the action, you can't even represent when you have two or three high cards showing. Whereas a harmless 2 shows on Stud you could have 2 2's in the hole. Just seems like too much definitive information is given to your opponent from the up cards
Daniel, everyone is expecting from you something more sophisticated, not videos for people who don't know anything about poker. Please deliver.
Nice of you to be the spokesperson for "everyone". You might wanna read through some of the other comments though. I'm guessing his videos are geared more towards popularizing poker, with some higher level strategy bits here and there, not about turning mediocre players into definite winners. You can always head to one of the few dozens sites that offer specifically "more sophisticated" stuff instead of looking it up on YT.
This guy is Annoying.
