Thanks for watching Scott. Funny you said that. I'm thinking I may have to do the inverter in another video. Tracing out wires is becoming a challenge. DC is one thing but I need to do the same for AC also.
Great Job! It looks like you are still in the Fortuna Foothills. It's convenient being next to a Tractor Supply. We bought lots of hardware at this same store when doing our big solar build on our MH last year. We bought a lot of grade 5 hardware by the lb., which is much cheaper than having to pay the "by each" price. It's a good idea painting the Henry's 887 over the brackets for a guaranteed watertight seal for years to come. Please be careful working with live 70-volt DC wires. I wired my rooftop array of 8, 550w panels in series, producing 400voc. I wired mine up first before I connected the panel string in the evening, as that kind of voltage can kill you for sure. Take care. Hope to see you down the road one day.
Thanks for watching. It is always a risk wiring live for sure. I worked my way back from the fuse so the last thing was just connecting each individual solar wire to the joiner block. Made it a lot safer for sure. Never thought of Tractor Supply. Have to check them out. Thanks for the tip.
It looks very nice. You might need three videos when you tie it all together.
