- After we spent a few episodes building this one up, it's time to have some fun - drive around, break something, fix it, repeat, you know, the usual stuff.

You should do four engines - one directly driving each wheel
Sounds like my electric vehicle design I’m working on, except it will have a ratio system similar to a ring sun planet gear set, just maybe only with the motors (outrunning) as the planets and the ring being installed on the rim
We had the same idea, lol.
@@Alexander.0671 cool! I was thinking they could do something like the centrifugal clutch they built using a drum brake in an earlier episode and have that driving each wheel that would be epic
Yeah with giant straight cut gears. How does the power from the top engines make it to the wheels?

But don't they have access to a runway or something.
IDEA: Try to use toothed belt and 3 identical cog pulleys. Use one distributor for 12 cyl engine coupled to the main engine camshaft. Then set timings of the first cylinders of each engine at 0⁰ 30⁰ and 60⁰ respectively. Cable distribution from distributor to spark plugs: main engine receives cables 1, 4, 7 and 10, second engine 2, 5, 8 and 11 and third 3, 6, 9, 12. In order to have right firing order. You have to be really accurate with synchronizing these 3 crankshafts. I suggest you to use pulleys with 48 teeth or 36, easier to set angular offsets.
i think you should hire this guy to consult, he seems to know stuff
I've been plugging this channel on every other automotive type channel I can find, you guys are awesome!, thanks for sharing.
I would connect each engine to a torque convertor and then chain drive the three torque convertors together. That way there is much more allowable engine speed variations. Plus you would have massive torque. Call it Nada-Lada-Zilla
100% brain power
I've seen a torque converter come flying off @ 7000 rpm on an engine in an engine run stand and near kill people because it didn't have the added support of the trans input shaft and bell housing. Sounds fun but support those converters.

I've been binge watching this channel for days now. I even watch it when I'm in the lavatory.
Great fun watching this! 3 x engines in the front is extreme but too heavy - the front digs into the snow. Put the 3 engines in a trailer driving a huge great generator, towed by the car which is driven by 4 x big electric motors, one for each wheel - or as many Lada starter motors as you can find!

I dont know about the horsepower in an engine, but russian cars are made for war, which means unkillable machine, easy to fix, cheap, reliable... Yes, slow, but reliable. I had no problems pull them out.. I love this channel.
It's time to put this in a mid engine setup
Yup, thought the same thing. That would take care of the weight balance :)
8:34 wow that takes off!!
That’s hilarious 😂
Larger rear wheels and something to add weight to the rear.
If you have all that weight in the front there is very little weight to push the rear down and transfer the power.
Stripping the weight at the front could help a little like removing lights and body panels etc.
You could mount the radiator on the roof to try centre the load between the front and rear wheels. (possibly other engine components?)
In terms of drag racing, tyres with screws in an ice enviornment is ideal for traction but larger tyres will help a great deal or reducing tyre pressure to maximise contact with the road.
Once you have the added traction as mention you can then start tweaking the engines to get more torque.
Definitely want to see this run in the summer time!

... Kinda reminds me of an old style airplane engine.
This guy always stands too close to his contraptions. Meanwhile, whenever i change a bolt on my engine, i have to stand at least 10 yards from what could now try to kill me....
Those other engines can't really be assisting the power output too much, all the power has to go through the belts... which isn't every going to be too much.
My thoughts exactly those little wimpy belts really can't be doing anything, have you ever supercharged an engine? Those giant toothed belts have a hard enough time staying on.
And the top two engines didnt have a flywheel on! That must make a difference..
Yep, this seems quite pointless.
Properly tensioned, those belts will withstand a whole lot more power than you think. Honestly the weakest point of the whole setup will be the crankshaft on the lower engine, particularly the snout the pulley attaches to.
@@johnfox3845 ya i agree a lawnmower can easley put 20hp through 1 belt, so 4 belts is putting power through, but the belt slip would drive me nuts lol.
put another axle in the rear and wrap a track around the two axles to more or less have a rear track under it for grip..it would improve grip and speed.. and put a snowboard under the front tires just ratchet strap them on for skis and a runner iron down the middle of the snowboard for steering it better. thanks for the video guys!
