Slaughter To Prevail DEMOLISHER Reaction | I Thought This Was Devil Music

- Slaughter To Prevail DEMOLISHER Music Video Reaction. First time listening to Heavy Metal and Slaughter To Prevail DEMOLISHER. What did I just get myself into here? I was more surprised by the lyrics from this song. It's not what I expected it to be from my preconceived notions. I was told heavy metal was music for devil worshipers and "weird" goth kids, so I never gave it a chance. I was dead wrong for following that mindset. Leg day just got easier! Please share your thoughts.

hahahahahh maan thank you very much ! your reaction is blowind mind hahahah
You're a legend dudee! Love from Malaysia
Lol not what I was expecting but I’m happy I have it a chance. I’ll get there soon!
Alex wtf why are you here
@@TooBlunt and you got a comment from the vocalist! I love that about Alex
love ya
"Ease me in there slowly"
*Starts with Slaughter to Prevail*
🤣
lol, I watched one poor guy get introduced via infant annihilator - blasphemian. He just sat there and took it, it was borderline assault.
😂😂 I got set up I see
@@TooBlunt trust, it could have been way worse. This song at least had a hook.
@@TooBlunt way off genre topic but when you get a chance please react to Slow Down Gandhi by Sage Francis. I think you'd really dig him. Appreciate you 🙏🏽
@@vegasviking86 can't forget about Aesop Rock
My dude, that was one of the best Reactions I've seen for this song; digging your fascination with extreme music, the positive attitude, and a genuine sense of humor.
Subscribed.
Thanks for the feedback :). And Yeaa this was definitely something else. Been using it in the gym and yeaaa it does the job!
yo its really cool that you were open minded and gave this a chance and even understood what this type of music is all about, a lot of people that arent used to it and jump in this deep off the bat will get put off but you breezed through it man... would recommend always having lyrics to hand if you react to more metal but i think you probably already figured that out haha
Looool definitely will have lyrics on screen. And funny everyone told me I jumped in to the deep zone. I liked the energy
If you do any more metal in the future I'd highly suggest having lyrics on hand. You do enough and you'll get an ear for it eventually. Everybody has their own pace with it, just keep doin you 🤘
Definitely I will. After hearing this one several times i can pick out a few words here and there. Lol just gotta keep tuning my ears
@@TooBlunt
Most of it is in Russian which doesn’t make it easier, lol.
@@Elis_Gallacher Lol the only part that's in Russian is the part where he goes really low.
@@JapanForestExplorer
Yeah? It’s called a joke, buddy.
@@Elis_Gallacher Yeah? It had absolutely no tone to it. How was I supposed to know that, buddy?
Do 'Baba Yaga' by Slaughter to Prevail for the most Russian music video ever.
Thank you for dipping your toes into the "metal deep end". The mid 90s-00's stereotype of all metal being devil music was pushed hard by the media. Majority of metal lyrics are/about hardship, motivational, expressing/overcoming sadness/anger/rage/hearbreak, and in some sub genres you get fantasy and/or Sci-Fi themed lyrics.
My favourite band Unleash The Archers released 2 concept albums(Apex in 2017 and Abyss in 2020) that tell a single 20 chapter story track by track over both albums, 10 chapter per album. The first album is fantasy based about The Immortal being awakened after a 1000 year sleep in his mountain hollow, (protagonist) and by a Covenant of birth(a curse) he must do the bidding of whomever summons him, which is The Matriarch (antagonist). She demands the Immortal to find her four sons, bring them back to her alive, so she can kill them in a blood ritual to gain immortality for herself. On the second album, the setting moves to Sci-Fi space based, and the immortal decides to break free of the covenant, and is being chased through space by The Matriarch. The story comes to it's climax with a planet destroying battle between the 2 of them.
If this interests you, I highly recommend reacting to Unleash The Archers and their song Awakening (full band playthrough) which is chapter 1 in the storyline, and sung from the immortals perspective.
To give you a clue to what it sounds like, think of a ride into battle theme song, or like a final boss metal track. 🤘🇨🇦
Woooooh now you definitely just peaked my interest with the meaning behind those albums. I’m definitely gonna start with where you stated
@@TooBlunt if you're willing to get even more nerdy, a project band(a mix of artists from other bands) came together to form Planeswalker. They just dropped a 7 track album "Tales of Magic", which is based on the card game Magic: The Gathering. The songs are covering epic battles with Eldrazi titans, scheming elder dragons and murder in the name of forging the finest sword ever made, among other tales. Reaction or not, it's good stuff to check out if you're into it haha I just enjoy spreading the nerd metal love 🤘🤣
Both of these albums are amazing
Fuck yeah dude, long live Unleash The Archers!!!!
Quite a lot of metal lyrics even though it's hard to listen to at first there are some very meaningful songs. Another band u could check out is jinjer and the song Pisces, teacher teacher and perennial at wacken.
Then deeper into the heavier stuff like lorna shore - to the hellfire and related songs with the ep
bloody wood - start a riot. Happy listening.
Also funny reaction :)
This is the stuff i like to see so many different genres of music but the one race, the human race, can enjoy them all. Music is one of the few universal things we all can agree to love.
You gotta know i'm subbed now, This was an awesome and open minded reaction, Such an awesome video to watch. cheers for taking the time to hear the meanings and feel that energy.
:) thanks for subscribing, Happy to have you here . This is going to be an interesting journey for sure!
Did not expect this. This is my favorite song and band. Not just because we're all Russian either lol. I was also told it was devil music but it's just growling and yelling lyrics. I couldn't understand at first either but this shit slaps! Alex Terrible is a beast and all natural.
It's amazing way for me to get stress and cope with things. It's awesome. He does covers of songs like "Chandelier" by Sia. It's great! 😂 🖤
Can't wait for more!
*the new album "Kostolom" is incredible too. It's not all growling.
Lol Yeaa that one hit me hard
вау, практически однофамилица Сани)
Lol man I needed this!!! Love this reaction!!!
By far the best reaction to anything I've ever watched and the best comprehension of subjects that aren't familiar to you. subbing forsure!
Great reaction, thanks for doing it. Keep it going man 👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥
Hell yeah. Thanks for reviewing this! Lol wanna go to the gym on leg day. That's good stuff.
Oh, hello) Welcome to the family. Nice job awesome reaction 🔥
Hell yeah, great video! Really enjoyed how your reaction seemed genuine. Slaughter to prevail is a sub genre of metal called deathcore. If you enjoyed it I would highly recommend Dog eat Dog by Nailwound. Or something from a band called Spite, kill or be killed and despise is really good by them.
I just listened to Baby Yaga…. WOOOOOOOOOOOOAH MY GOODNESS
Dog eat dog is a banger
Let’s go!!!!!! One thing I can say about this music that has always bothered me is when ppl say it’s devil music but most of it is relatable pain and feeling alone and all the freaks of the world are not alone. When other categories talk about fake bull crap and gang banging or drinking your life away, cheating etc…I love this music and LOVE YOUR REACTION SUBBING FOR MORE METAL
Absolutely amazing! 🤘
Dude, just found your channel, this was a phenomenal reaction. Well edited and great insight!!
Hatebreed has some amazing lyrics as well!
Love this 🔥
awesome reaction! appreciate it, i‘m a new sub, greetings from switzerland 😊🇨🇭
Love your reaction 👍🏻
This is the most fun I’ve ever had watching someone become a metal head.
You are awesome Bro!!! Love your content.
Amazing reaction! Nicely done.
honestly, probably the best Slaughter to Prevail reaction that I've seen to date. Loved that you added the lyrics to go with it as it shows the real side of the track and the band. After this and the Jinjer pisces reactions, you got my sub my man.
I didn't know you would react to metal especially Slaughter 😂 but you should check out *Baba Yaga* by them, it's probably the most Russian music video ever
@@sixtynine1076 Good correction
OK so this video just came up on my homepage. I LOVE your reaction, The open mind. Taking time to bring the lyrics up. Got a sub from me. Can't wait for more.
:) just heard Jinjer Pisces and baby yaga. I think I might be hooked now
@@TooBlunt oh I got more for you!
“See what other gems I can find”……oh I’ll be tuning in some more. That’s one hell of a start to some metal!
Lol yes very crazy start
The baby joke got me laughing, specially when you started screaming just few moments later hahahaha. Keep up the good work, it's really nice to see someone reacting with the lyrics!
Yo someone through you straight in the deep end with this one. This was considered the heaviest songs of the year last year, that is until Lorna Shore came out with To the Hellfire (which you should totally react to!) Which I think most the metal community will agree it beats out Demolisher by a tiny margin for heaviest song.
Despite being thrown in the deepend man you kept composure and are offering an excellent reaction, can't wait to see you react to Lorna Shore- To the Hellfire
I appreciate the fact that you put forth the effort to listen with the lyrics; that's huge. Gives what you're hearing context, I feel. I genuinely enjoyed watching you react to this and as a rare breed of black metalheads, I'm totally subscribing so I can hopefully see you react to more of these. Horns high, brutha! \m/
👊🏿 thanks for the feedback pal :) happy you enjoyed. And yeaaaa definitely needed the lyrics, don’t wanna just sit there and say “oh so cool” . I want to get fully into it, you feel me? Thanks again for the comment
haha had a good time watching this. Got you a sub
I'm subscribing! I love watching metal virgins react to metal!
Beautiful reaction bro greetings from Czech Reublic, somewhere near Russia-THEM... 🤘🤘🤘👹
Keep working I think your in the top 10 Of the reactors on UA-cam
Let's gooo!!!! It gets weird out here lmao 🤣 hyped af for you!!! I'll throw out a suggestion. After the burial - behold the crown. U will like👍🏻
Proud you see this music for what it is...
.love to see more black metal heads bro
man great reaction u should deff react to more metal music
this was a great one!
I knew the second that he said "is this a rock song" that he wasn't gonna be ready lmao. seriously really cool that you are checking these guys out. good video
This guy is really nice, this is gonna be a big channel for sure.
As someone who has been into metal since I understood what music was, and got really into Hip Hop and bars and flow and beats when I was in my 20's, I'm super excited to see you go down the metal route.
Lyrics are often times on par with Hip Hop, but metal is much more of a feeling and less analytical.
hahahahahahah! "Screw that baby" killed me XDXDXD. Saw many reviews but no one focused much on the lyrics part, and I am glad you did it. I leave my like for you here. Cheers!
Lol baby had it coming. And yeaaaa I didn’t just wanna “react” without at least understanding what is being said. I’m sure the artists actually want people to hear their words too lol. I may not catch all but in due time

Everyone will be taken away everything that he loves so much
There are no broken destinies
From birth , fire burns in the eyes
Death come , it wakes you up
I subscribe simply on the fact that you are willing to give others a try and I being a long time metalhead that has been made fun of and all that fun s*** thank you. I'm glad to see you are enjoying and/or at least becoming curious about different genres of music.
I actually enjoyed your reaction and thoughts. I didn't expect anything tbh
Great to see you venturing into metal!!
I'd suggest some Aussie metal like Dead Kelly.. Butchered with a Boomerang has a film clip lol..
Or The Legend of Borry parts 1, 2, 3 & 4.. funny AF!
This brings me great pleasure
Great reaction, greetings from Germany. 👍
toll! Danke fürs zuschauen. Im actually trying to learn German so having german viewers is pretty cool
We all are
Subscribing just to see you react to more metal
Im telling you, This will gonna be a lit channel. Swear to god
Love that Ronnie Coleman sound byte you threw in there lol 🤘🏼
got me at "let´s back up, I didnt understand what he says"
LOL!
I hear Alex actually does that "DEMOLISHER!" bit without the mic at shows o.o I haven't been to a STP show yet but boi.. I sure as hell want to
So cool 😃
metal is the end station of emotion and aggression its beautiful
I already commented once, great Job man.
If you are into deep, real lyrics, metal is going to treat you like family immediately bro, cuz I always say that Metal over all has the best lyrical content of any genre. It is absolutely insane the depth to metal, both on the composition of the music, and the depth that the lyrics can go.
I don't normally do this but you flung the doors WIDE open by reacting so we'll to something so Heavy. Band- Gojira, song- The Art of Dying, I promise you it will further open your eyes to the depth of metal!
Hahahaha yes one of my favorite bands 🤘
lol 😂 It wasn't a lie when he said "screw that baby" 😂 Great reaction 🙌🏻
As soon as he said this is a rock song i knew the reaction would be hilarious
You are in for a ride my friend 😈
Welcome to the warrior poet world of metal my friend. This is music that keeps you grounded in reality and not some superficial existence. Real and gritty. It's that fire that we keep putting out when we lose ourselves in the mundane. Metal for me is that primal energy that we lack in order to transcend our existence.
Bro you got Alex terrible himself to comment! Legendary status !!!!
back in a day when you got tapes and CD's it was part of a ritual to use booklets with lyrics and read them while listening
i think that's litterally the first time i felt like "yo i like this guy" in the first 3 seconds your energy's amazing
prood that all those reactor with the 4 minutes intro are shooting themselves in the foot
Great video dude and people please don’t tell him to check out To The Hellfire I don’t think he’s quite ready yet 😂. Look forward to some more reactions. I’d say Slaughter to Prevail - Agony should be a follow up.
Well I checked it out and yes 😂😂 I was not ready. I thought Alex was shocking, but this one took me out
😂🤣😂🤣😂 I would have had to pull up the words as well.
Give it time. You eventually won't have to pull up the lyrics. You'll start understanding every word. Trust me bro. Keep up the great work
I hated metal my whole life because I figured metalheads were dumb, but I listened to an Opeth song with deep growls and felt a surge of power that I never knew was within me. I decided to enjoy it and free myself and tapped into a well of artistry I never thought possible. From there I was obsessed with metal and never looked back. The last 10 years of my life has been filled with underground metal shows and earaches!!! \m/
I love when people discover metal genres and realize that everything everyone ever told you is wrong about the genre. Metal is just as deep as any genre just gotta give it the chance
Welcome to metal. In time your ears will be able to decipher the words, which is helpful since most metal songs have a message to them. A few broad spectrum suggestions:
Nightwish - Ghost Love Score Live at Wacken. Symphonic metal. Incredible female fronted band.
Metallica - One or Enter Sandman. Classic Rock/Metal and both are excellent songs.
Lorna Shore - To the Hellfire. Black/Death metal. You will absolutely need the lyrics pulled up.
Disturbed - Inside the Fire and Sound of Silence. Hard Rock. Two extremes of the band's musical and vocal skill. Music video needed on 'Inside the Fire' to fully appreciate the message of the song.
Arch Enemy - The Eagle Flys Alone. Metal. Female fronted band with brutal vocals.
Jinjer - Pisces. Progressive/Groove/Heavy metal. Another female fronted band with a spectacular vocalist. You have to watch the official video to get the full effect. I promise, what you hear will 100% be her.
Avatar - Bloody Angel. Metal.
Bloodywood - Machi Bhasad. Indian Folk Metal (as in India, not Native American). High energy, and will definitely get you pumped.
Five Finger Death Punch - Wrong Side of Heaven. Rock/metal. Song meant to bring awareness to the difficulty US troops face once they return home. Music video is 100% required to get the full message of the song.
Parkway Drive - Wishing Wells. Metal. Good representation of the second stage of grief.
These should be enough to give you a very broad taste of what hard rock and metal have to offer.
You poor man. They just throw you in hard lol great band and the vocalist is a beast. Thanks for the reaction.
I just listened to Baby yaga. I think this song kinda prepared me for it but I still wasn’t ready for what I saw 😂
@@TooBlunt gotta watch that next lol.
Lol should be out soon. I also checked out Jinjer Pisces… YOU GUYS KEEP SETTING ME UP 😂😂 She shocked me out my pants !!
@@TooBlunt ohhhh there's sooo much more to come with metal and rock for great reactions. I grew up on R&B mostly in the late 90s early 2000s but am a huge metalhead. Keep up the good work and welcome to the metal community. As a biracial female myself it's get to see more people being open minded to what most would consider extreme music. You have a new sub!
:) thanks for joining the journey with me lol I’ll surely need your help ❤️
His journey began here... I already love you. Get ready for the adrenaline, it can get a little overwhelming sometimes. Best advice I can give, treat the music like you do with anything involving adrenaline. Breathe, let your hands push the feeling to the fingertips, let the hairs stand up and just let the mind play with the rhythm. Music is food for the soul, let it be fed.
Good reaction, just don't get duped into watching anything by cattle decapitation or infant annihilator. At least not yet anyway. You've reached a fork in the road you can stay in deathcore with maybe 'to the hellfire' by lorna shore, you can retreat safely to partycore with something like 'hypa hypa' by eskimo callboy, or you can go deep tech death and hit up something mindbending like 'Obscura' by gorguts. Good luck.
Thank you for showing me that paths. I definitely needed this cause I would’ve been more lost
rock n metal is the most passionate music u can find
Another great reaction ,thumbs up. Hey man try some Fear Factory - Power Shifter or Linchpin when you get the chance, both are good songs though I think you'll enjoy Linchpin. Peace!
Great Channel.. its missing some DAX!
Welcome to metal my friend. Not all of it is bad, not all of it is good. Most of your viewers probably listen to metal. It's usually high energy, and intricate musicianship. If you really go down the metal rabbit hole, kiss your 4/4 and 8/8 time signatures goodbye lol
Edit: a lot of people get caught up on the vocals. Treat them as another instrument, and look up the lyrics if you care to. Classical music doesn't even have lyrics, so tell Bach etc. That their music is lame cus it doesn't have lyrics ✌️
Edit edit edit. Try the black dahlia murder, receipt
Can't agree more , can we say Joey Jorgensen...hahaha can't wait to see his face with Jinger .
Bro....got to check out Brand of Sacrifice 💯
Amen my man, If you want a suggestion.. Try Hickory creek by Whitechapel..
And tooblunt for ever trapped in the genjutsu
That would be so but I’ve already awaken my eternal mangekyou sharingan
Check out - Cold " Stupid Girl " ..... intense werewolf drummer on a different level, vocals that stir the soul.
.
"Screw that baby right?" 😂😂😂👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻
"Do we have any songs with destiny in it?"
"Ummm. No but I can just fucking throw it in anywhere, It's not like people can understand what the fuck I'm saying anyways."
Welcome to the wild world of deathcore 🤘
A few recommendations
Spiritbox - The Mara Effect Live, Trust Fall, Blessed Be
Erra - Vanish Canvas, Nigh to Silence, Breach
Phinehas - Eternally Apart, I Am the Lion, a Pattern in Pain
These are my top 3 bands rn. Hope you check some of the songs 💙
If you’re looking to go down the heavy/extreme music rabbit hole more, I would highly suggest reacting to To the Hellfire by Lorna Shore. Lyrics in hand of course! Great video!
“Don’t judge the screaming before you understand the meaning”
You would love Alex Terrible's "Oh Fortuna" cover! Metal choir. Let that sink in.
So... U went basically head first into the deep end... And legitimately gave it a look beyond the cover. I applaud you, sir, for that. So I think we should peel back a bit and see where what you just heard came from. I suggest watching the classic video of Pantera performing Domination live in russia back in the 90s. Its a classic video that E V E R Y metalhead should at least know of.
The best part of the breakdown he doesn't use the mic to say the word demolisher.
you took this surprisingly well if your new to this stuff. do dead man’s diary or curse us by paleface
Damn and that was your first take on heavy music? God damn talking bout jumping right into the deep end hahaha
Go down the hole, go down the hole. You never know what you’ll find on your way out.
Great to lift to
The only genre that I would say is "devil music" is maybe Norwegian black metal but that's completely different from this
Well Behemoth Is From Poland And Portal Is From Australia... 🤔
That was a great reaction. Now I am waiting for you to do JInjer, Bloodywood, Lorna shore, Escimo callboy and some Dimmu Borgir (Norwegian metal). And why not check out Avatar, Falling in reverse, Baby metal and Fleshgod apocalypse while you are at it :)
"Slaughtered" by Pantera, and "Into the Hellfire" by Lorna Shore would be good ones to react to, as well. This reaction is great. You're right.. Slaughter to Prevail is on my workout playlist and it gets you pumped to work out.
Shoulda started with all I want for Christmas 😆
