Folks I forgot to mention - in this video we are using an updated Flight Model that I got early access to from the developers. It's been tweaked since then again and will go live with a new update that they are preparing for the Su-30 in the near future!
The best description I've heard for the Su-30/35 is from a pilot who fought them. He said that it is like a dog fighting a cat. The cat holds it's groundand no matter where you come in from it spins around claws ready. His best strategy to beat them is to get them slow and then extend away to reset the fight and hope you can get them to eventually make a mistake.
Imagine if SU 30,35,57 had software that automatically directs the gun at the enemy and calculates the advance. Thrust vectorization and efficient control surfaces allow you to point your nose anywhere
I really like how you didn't cut away from the first player view to show outside footage until shot down on this one. I like seeing the pilot's perspective first before seeing what it looks like from the outside. Cheers!
some times a non real life pilot kick a** a real life fighter pilot in a DCS fight witch is a real SIM fight and if this pilot went to air force or navy maybe he became an ACE because he has all the mind talent that an ACE needs
Do you think there’s a fourth Gen aircraft that can take the SU-30 in a guns only fight? Once you introduce missiles the fight becomes something else but man that SU-30 can turn.
@@adrian_ricky619 he is more of a businessman and lies a lot. He kept on selling it to the world that F-16 is the best rate fighter in DCS. It ain't by a longshot. He brings in opponents whom he can beat.
@@adrian_ricky619 that's the whole point. ED earns most of its money from the West, hence it has to keep it's customers pleased. None of the Soviet jets receive any performance upgrade, for that matter most of them are grossly underpowered in DCS, and even the Wikipedia stats of these jets don't match their performance displayed by ED. But the only thing being dedicated players have found ways and devised tactics against the western fighters in DCS. To tell you the truth, there are many players including me who got into DCS due to GS and after a few hours in the game you realise how much of a liar he is. FYI GS can't even handle the slightly above average skilled opponents, forget the top notch. For eg he says F-16 outrated Flanker on the deck, the fact is the Flanker has got so much lift and AoA that it can comfortably sit inside the turn circle of a F-16 forever.
@@abhassharma1468 just because you are sitting inside an opponents turn circle doesn't mean you can stay there. by definition the only way you can stay in position on an opponent is by out-rating them. there's no way that an aircraft can sit inside another aircrafts turn circle forever unless they are out-rating that other aircraft. either the flanker can outrate the viper in dcs or it cant sit inside the turn circle forever. pick one you cant have both.
Kindly send this video to the Malaysian Air Force. Seems they are having a bit of trouble ACM against their own Hornets. On behalf of the Singapore Air Force, do not send this video to the Malaysian Air Force.
"The nose of the Flanker is quite sluggish to react. I have complained to the devs about that... they need to improve the responsiveness." Basing this on what, exactly?
Many real world airshow display videos where you can see how the aircraft moves around and points, and also from general principles of flying airplanes on the whole. Obviously I have never flown as real Su-30 but some things are obvious to me as a real world pilot and as an aeronautical engineer. No pilot would accept such sluggish and laggy response from the flight controls. I’m not saying I know how it is in real life but I know how it isn’t.
Well in all objective reality the 57 is just an Su-30(which is just a TV Su-27) that's been designed to mimick the F-22 as much as possible without flat out copying it. The only real difference is that the 57 has a slightly better RCS and more surface area generating lift. So the 57 'should' win every time. As for the 47, there is no way to know. We have next to no data on what it could do other than speculation based on it's design.
Su-57 has absolutely nothing to do with the Su-30, and has about as much in common with an F-22, as the MiG-25 does with an F-15. It was never designed to “mimick” an F-22. It has a broadly similar shape and that’s about it.
Su-47 would be an interesting thing, unfortunately we don't know its capabilities, but it's not like we know about most of these modern fighters anyway. SU-47 does not have TV but has the advantage in low speed and high angle of attack because of its wings. I wonder if they would have given it TV if it had continued in development.
@@RedTail1-1 Sorry but, the Felon is just not a "Flanker" its a completely different aircraft. You can go watch Millenium to know more about it, he's covered jets in-depth. Furthermore, I've seen mods of Felon and Berkut in DCS so I was hoping to see some duels. As basic it may be.

Instead it just has lead indicator, the gimbaling cannon like on su24 would be too weird on a fighter
nice to see a channel that shares my love for the Su30, honestly you have some of the best DCS content on youtube ✌️

8:10 No Hornet should be able to outaccelerate an AL-31FP equiped Su-30 as the flanker has superior T/W .
As I’ve mentioned in the fight title, that Hornet started with 60% fuel and no pylons at all. Flanker was heavy. Hence the difference.
