@@OneTrashyPanda all season tires and winter tires are 2 completely different things. You want another set of dedicated winter tires on rims for when the temperature drops below freezing. All seasons are usually rated for at least 5degrees Celsius past freezing. I live directly in the snow belt in Canada and it's not uncommon for us to see drifts 2-3ft. I have taken a Subaru outback through all of that and even drove on my lake using the boat launch. They make such a difference that some provinces like Quebec require them and most insurance companies here give you a discount if you run them in the winter. Set of Michelin Ice X tires could have made a big difference here

State farm has had our back for years they pay for the rental the recovery and all the tow fees and they replaced my car in 14 days and there representative was there every step
It all comes down to your coverage that you pay for, like if you're liability only you're s.o.l. for anything pertaining to your car. Some times the amount you pay for the better coverage is more than it would cost to replace the vehicle, especially with teen drivers.
As someone who used to sell insurance there is two major things I can tell you. One it is assumed that anything the person selling you the policy knows the underwriters know as well. Two it is important to inform your insurance company of any material change in how you use your vehicle as that can affect coverage. (IE most auto policies I've seen in my province for the average client exclude using your vehicle for commercial purposes. (IE doing Uber, Skip The Dishes, DoorDash etc) if you start using your car for work purposes beyond just driving to and from work and you get into and accident your policy can be voided for not informing them of the material change.)

Sooooo BLESSED to be alive those boys are! Very thankful they will heal 🙏🏻 I have Geico insurance a bit expensive but never had an issue and they were quick to help after an accident
I'm insured through Erie, and have been my entire driving career. Only needed it once and they were a whole lot less painful than the back strain I got in the single-car no fault accident. Single car no fault? Yeah, found a diesel slick on a rainy interstate. Almost saved it, did about a hundred yards holding the car at a 30 degree skid and then didn't. Nose inside, around, and then some off-roading 'cause it was a construction zone with no shoulder and a 5 foot drop. Collision shop said every single place the suspension attached to the chassis was bent, but after I landed the car was still dragging itself along in fifth gear, chugging at walking speed. Don't ever let anyone tell you a Daewoo Leganza wasn't a tough little car. As I was telling the responding officer what happened and where the hazard was, a jeep cherokee did almost exactly the same thing, but into the side of a commercial truck. I had some company on the ride to the tow yard....
Great that you do these jobs. A little tip when you winch up banks etc try to get wire rope under load, this helps to lift front up when going over rocks etc. (Only on wire ropes) . Keep up the great videos. A fan in New Zealand.

Diesel Dave!!!!! There's one in every crowd who shows up in shorts and short sleeves in the frigging SNOW!!!! Brrrrrrr!!! I've been with Liberty Mutual for well over 30 years. They are pretty good, but they were a little bit quick to total my truck for cosmetic damage when I got sideswiped in a gas station in Aug/Sept 2003. (The stated repairs were only going to be a little over $1K their stated value of the vehicle; made me mad. When you're dealing with the kinds of numbers insurers do, that's just pocket change!) It was quite a hassle dealing with CA DMV to get a salvage title, as the truck still runs fine; no damage to any parts involving safety or operation. However, it can now only be insured for liability going forward, and not comprehensive insurance! 😞
Same. I've had State Farm since 1997 so far so good. I caused one small wreck in 2012 and nothing happened, my rates didn't go up that I know of. Have liability only so had to fix my truck myself but could have been worse.
This day in age with so much rotten out there, it sure makes me feel good to see honest honorable and helpful people doing what they can for others. All you guys are definitely a bright spot and fantastic examples for others emulate.

I have been with Farmers since I was 16 and now almost 40 years later, they have never let me down. I will say, they are getting expensive, but they don’t tell me, sorry, we can’t help with that. I did have a buddy that had his ATV stolen out of a shed here in Oregon during a freezing rain / ice storm and his home insurance said sorry, we can’t help because it has an engine. He said, my lawn mower has an engine and they said that is different because that is a yard tool. That was Allstate insurance. Just make sure you ask lots of questions!!
I been with American Family for 38 years. Never had any problems at all until a few year ago when my daughter's boy friend stole my brand new Ram truck. He was drunk and had a teenager in the truck with him. He rolled the truck down a big hill, he takes off running and the kid was hurt real bad. The kid's parents of course sued my insurance company and my truck was impounded for over a year. My insurance could not pay out on my truck until it was out of impound. That could not happen until the boyfriend was sentenced in court, then I had to go to court to be able to get it out of impound. $20,000 impound fees were racked up that of course my responsibility to pay. So in the end, I was out a brand new Ram and had to buy a little Jeep Patroit. My insurance company was going to drop me because of being sued, even though I accepted the fact of my insurance went to high risk costs. But when they were going to drop me and no other company would take me, I had no choice but to take my insurance company to court. Oh the judge looked at all the facts and driving record, needless to say I was able to stay with them, got a huge huge huge refund for all the high risk I paid, and they were put on notice that accidents do happen and if by some chance I have an accident and they try dropping me again then it won't just be state court systems but they will end up in federal court. All in all, it does pay off in the end to know your rights even with big companies. But it sure has been one HUGE nightmare to go through.
I think the sled should have its own winch on it . That way you just lower down.. the winch pulls the car onto the sled and you winch the sled back up the hill.. that way you can get over rocks and trees easier and the car will be tied down to the sled.. this could help from parts not breaking off and having less damage done to the countryside from the cars digging into the cliffside. Also will keep the fluids from getting released from the car while being pulled up the hill, you could even have absorption pads inside of the sled.
One suggestion: with the capabilities of your shop, why in the world wouldn’t you fabricate some rudimentary roof and rear window for the Big Boy Duece and a half military truck to protect the driver as a safety feature???👍😄

They should nickname him “Heatmeister”. They always say he complains of being too hot. That’s why he’s always wearing shorts in the winter, lol. ❄️🥵❄️
I worked for insurance companies and went to insurance school. One thing they taught at the very first class was: "Insurance companies main purpose is to make money for their investors." They are not there to help their customers, just make money.
Always a good day when you have a HeavyD video
Sparks Co. These gentlemen are what America was built on. Help people that are in a bad spot. They are proud to help, I take my hat off for the whole crew. God bless

Once again....Dave and the crew to the rescue! His teams willingness to help others is legendary! Just imagine how many things that are wrong in this world could be righted if Dave Sparks was consulted!
I have said it before and I’ll say it again,Thank God for You Guys !! No task to big or to small,You Are Imagining…
Dave is a hell of a stand-up guy. We need more like him and his crew in this messed up world.
Sick video guys, thank you for doing what you are doing !
Diesel Dave saves this show, his personality just SHINES
surprised they havent installed a metal barrier 🚧 around sum of those corners!💯👍👍
@ MattHuey :
It's all about money
dear boy " money"
Your state ever heard of "Guard Rails?" I think that area could use a few. Insurance companies will not pay out if the issue was on recreation land and/or trails. Been there, done that, paid for it.
You and your crew are awesome. If someone needs you Dave you are always there with your men . God bless each and everyone of you .
4:59 Ooof cameraman was right in the line of the cable snapping
I think it is awesome you left the part where the car broke away and fell back down the hill it shows how difficult and dangerous recovery’s can be you never know what will happen great job guys.
It is nice to know people like Heavy D are out there, but it sucks to need that level of service
Sooooo BLESSED to be alive those boys are! Very thankful they will heal 🙏🏻
I have Geico insurance a bit expensive but never had an issue and they were quick to help after an accident
I just love how diesel dave just casually wears t-shirt and short pants....driving convertible truck and skidding trough snow!!😂😂😂😂
You're a good man Mr Sparks
Great that you do these jobs. A little tip when you winch up banks etc try to get wire rope under load, this helps to lift front up when going over rocks etc. (Only on wire ropes) . Keep up the great videos. A fan in New Zealand.
Yall are awesome. Keep doing great things for people.
Dave you and your team are amazing. I don’t know anyone else with a heart for peoples big as yours and that includes a lot of pastors we know.
👍to you All.
Nice recovery guys. I had Farm Bureau for over 20 years and never have had a problem with them.
As always nice work boys, heavy D to the rescue
Thank god your alive bro
Heavy D . I've had Geico now for 15 years & no problems . Paid my deductible on the accident gave me a car no charge . Really good payments. Very helpful & honest
Heavy D I loved the snowed in series
Best UA-camr! I've watched every video and can't wait for the next video. Keep crushin it guys!
As a service provider for Geico. We'll go anywhere they ask. Ive changed my insurance provider to Geico as they are so easy to deal.
But that makes you biased
Dave is back!! Missed his personality at snowed in where was he lol
Diesel Dave and Hans are the work horses as usual, and in treacherous, dangerous conditions as always.
I have State Farm so far, so good. I'm sure I'll get screwed in the end. That's what they do, all of them.
Same. I've had State Farm since 1997 so far so good. I caused one small wreck in 2012 and nothing happened, my rates didn't go up that I know of. Have liability only so had to fix my truck myself but could have been worse.
I’ve had State Farm for 50 years, multiple claims and am happy with all.
As always, y'all are great people. Keep it up!
Great Job!
Nice job Dave. Thank you for all you do.
Recovery time!!! Hell yeah... Love it.....
We love diesel dave, that guy is a gem.
❤❤❤❤ keep the good work up ❤❤❤❤
Great rescue! Thanks for helping him
Keep up the good work!
This day in age with so much rotten out there, it sure makes me feel good to see honest honorable and helpful people doing what they can for others. All you guys are definitely a bright spot and fantastic examples for others emulate.
Been with State Farm for over 20 years great company. Well, at least here in the Ozarks they are.
So people are born for a purpose!!! Thank God for HEAVY D !!!!
Insurance is a scam
I have used State Farm for 30 years and had no problems with them. Every time i have needed them has been a favorable experience.
Just wanted to say Hey from Canada.
I have been watching your stuff since you first began. Your blogs are always so entertaining and informative.
Thanks Heavy D
Thank you for helping Dave!
I love when UA-camrs that can find the balance between helping others, and supporting their own channel. They help you can provide is pretty unique. Hopefully insurance companies Are paying you for these recoveries.
Love them! Kids can learn something from them and how they give back!🤟🤟🤟🤟
Great to see you do this we have a family friend who went off the cliff about 30 years ago he survived luckily but got brain damage from it fun to be around them though he’s a 16-year-old trapped in a 40-year-old body
Pretty luck glad to have Dave on the recovery
Well done to the young chap who was nearly paralysed. To be out of hospital in a few weeks is a massive achievement in itself. 💪
And they walked away……..You guys are really amazing…As for insurance..Living in cali and buying a home is a nightmare if you live near any kind of fire zone……pray you don’t get dropped..guessing this is just pouring into the auto market insurance… Also Heavy D that truck of yours is awesome with the split work truck box’s….Guys are just what this world needs..really life BAMFS…keep it up.
You all are great at what u do you serve your country beyond belief God bless and thank yo stay safe 🙏
I definitely didn't get notified of this video!! But, one thing that never fails, Dave & the team helping the ones in need!!!
You folks do it right for your corner of the world - Thanks..
We need more proof like big DAVE what a heart this man has 🫶🏻❤️ much luv man n may your blessings continue ✝️🙏🏻
This is such a beautifully savage area.
My hat is off to you guys for the work you do. Bless you guys, you're awesome.
You do great things for those in need. Keep up the good work you do
We have Geico and love them! They have been Awesome! Take care of us and our cars and motorcycles! Highly recommend!
Also will keep the fluids from getting released from the car while being pulled up the hill,
you could even have absorption pads inside of the sled.
One suggestion: with the capabilities of your shop, why in the world wouldn’t you fabricate some rudimentary roof and rear window for the Big Boy Duece and a half military truck to protect the driver as a safety feature???👍😄
