Make no mistake, Devil May Cry is an all time favorite of mine. But it certainly isn't without its fair share of sins. And to be honest, there were more than I remember there being. Hindsight is 20/20, indeed.

1:13 Dante operates a facade as a handy man; THAT business closes at 9. The actual demon hunter gig requires a password. It's likely that the call Dante rejected had nothing to do with demons.
Then why does the sign outside his office advertise the demon hunting service without any indication of the handyman services? What else would "Devil May Cry" mean to the everyday public?

In real world there are lots of brand that doesn't live up to the brand name itself.
In Dante's case. People who don't know about it would just thought the name is just a catchy one.
Especially health supplement brands and even their commercial. 😅🤣. Like a brand called "InnerShine". An old brand, not sure if the brand is still there.
"Drink a bottle, and you'll be shine with healthiness." But people drink for 3 bottles already and still didn't shine at all. 😅😅😅.
The same for handy man job with a brand Devil May Cry. Maybe his commercial is something like " Can get any job done to the point even devil may cry!"
That's what it means operate a facade business as a handy man.
It’s pretty pointless and confusing. He’d make more money if he wasn’t getting calls from people who didn’t know what his business actually does.

5:18 Nightmare is still a nightmare to beat on Dante Must Die mode, especially its third phase since it regains extra health even after beating, so easier said than done.
5:45 okay, even i have to admit the Sparda sword was entirely useless except for that one mission: the fight against Mundus.
6:59 Trish looks like Dante's own mother, so you can imagine that it can be painful to see someone suffering, especially if that someone reminds you of the ones you hold most dear. also by your logic, Dante should have let Trish die, but he didn't. hell, when Trish asked Dante why he saved her, he gave her the answer: she looks exactly like his mom. Mundus used that to his advantage, and it did worked in his favor... until Trish jumped in to save Dante from that death beam.
Considering I looked at the playlist and DMC3 is on there and DMC2 isn't, I do believe that is the case.
Eh... I mostly use the grenade launcher more than the other guns. As much as I hate to say it, I never did like using Ebony and Ivory.

The Ebony and Ivory guns are really good when combined with Devil Trigger.
the gun mentioned is actually pretty bad since it eats up Devil Trigger, none of the other guns do that, so automatically it deserves the rank of worst, and Devil Trigger is important, there's a reason why we haven't gotten a gun that saps devil trigger to use it anymore.

@@valentds Dante wasn't gonna look at his OWN amulet and somehow realize that Mundus made Vergil into Nero Angelo because Vergil was presumed already killed since age 8. He needed Vergil's half to confirm N.A. was actually Vergil and not some random demon with a resemblance (this is why Trish isn't immediately assumed to be Eva).

I was absolutely hooked on this game when I first played it. I rented it repeatedly and kept keeping it for longer than I was allowed 😆

Same, my favorite game of all time. What an absolute masterpiece. I heard there are rumours of a remake. Hope that's not true, I don't want my favorite game to get the RE2 treatment.

@@Casketkrusher_ re2 remake had problems with AB scenarios and new RE gameplay instead tank controls. dmc1 remake sure will not have that changes, dmc was ever an hack n slash, and dmc1 is outdated in that. the good things in dmc1 are the stages, the enviroments, difficult to screw up (all others dmc had bad stages, but they only had to copy dmc1)
the fact that Mundus is a seraph makes sense in the context of Bayonetta. everything about his boss fight must have inspired what Bayonetta's boss fights would be, down to the stony outer shell that gradually gets broken, revealing the eldritch being inside, which is exactly what Bayonetta's angels are.
This is cool. And now I wanna play this game, cause it seems cool.

I'm glad you clarified HD version because that skybox thing is just part of many issues that cropped up in the HD ports, non-existent in the original.
Also in the intro it has alastor in Dante’s shop and later you find the sword now in chapter 2

Plus dante has many weapons in his shop and he decides to just bring one and that is the one that has basically nothing good about it right away while he has weapons like Cerberus, rebellion, Agni and rudra, nevan and Beowulf left there to rot another sin added

Actually no, Dante does not have Agni and Rudra sadly... he gives them to some guy after DMC3 because they talk too much and Dante does not like anyone who has a bigger mouth than him

The only differences seem to be the missing graphic FX GamingSin mentioned in the vid and the fact that now Trish and Dante also have subtitles.
Well theres now the PC Version and on consoles its now from 720p to 1080p (ps3 to ps4)

An easy sin for this that was missed was when Dante gets impaled by Alastor, he pulls his whole body off of the sword, all the way through the hand guard and hilt even though that's literally impossible because the stab wound is like a third of the size.
I LOVE IT ! Whoever this guy is that does this is the best one
The reason Dante leaves the amulet and the sword behind is because he doesn't want the power like Vergil would. The only time he wants power is when it concerns what he considers his family to protect them or stop them.

Wolf Snow DMC 2 had good-ish mechanics, but it just packed potential. DMC3 is best in my opinion

The ability to switch guns on the fly was rectified in Devil May Cry 2, and kept in Devil May Cry 3, Devil May Cry 4, and Devil May Cry 5.
Edit: you can switch guns on the fly in DmC:DMC, I completely forgot to update this comment, and I think DmC:DMC is a pretty good game, the story is ok but the gameplay is fun

5:35 the thing about Dante getting flashbacks from Vergil’s amulet instead of his own…So what if Dante gets flashbacks from his own amulet? How would that help him connect the opponent he just fought to his own brother? It’s only when Nero Angelo dropped the Amulet then Dante made the connection and realised it was Vergil he just killed

this is a golden egg of the PS2 era and my first ever M rated game i played, from 2nd grade might i add. it's too fun and too awesome to be sinned, and i don't ever regret the many times i beat this game. i'm sorry, but for this once... you are wrong.

Sin 14: this was a way to show the player that your guns can stop things mid air it’s actually how I learned guns juggle enemies.

Sin 36 is removed since it is explained that griffin, phantom, and nightmare were made from the dreams of nelo angelo which is why they kept showing up
That's only a DMCV plotpoint. These ones are actual, physical demons; the *original sources* of said traumas. Plus, Phantom wasn't even a part of the Summon Trio in DMCV. It was Griffon, *Shadow* and Nightmare. The reason they kept coming back in this game was because they kept fleeing or the fight got interrupted somehow in the first 2 encounters, only for the third time in each one being the charm.
Pretty sure he referred to it from a gameplay perspective, fighting the same bosses 3 times each is annoying.
