The genius of having her trying to flee on all fours. La Cerva means 'the Doe', 'Silvio' roughly translates to 'woodsman.' The woodsman shoots the doe. Perfection.
I was watching the episode long term parking and wonder why this scene wasn't in the episode was this a bonus scene or something.? Because it just showed Chris choking Adrienna and later silvio driving her to the hospital
Adriana's story was heartbreaking. She loved Christopher and all she ever wanted was a happy life for them both. Seeing it come to this end was brutal. Such a great show.
It shows exactly the type of terrible people the mafia are, the FBI should have protected them both? For their co operation, if I was Adriana I would have concealed carried a small pistol, once he pulled over in the forest, beat him to the punch, draw the pistol and kill him.
This is probably Steven Van Zandt’s best performance in the show. Just so terrifying with how relaxed he is; makes you wonder how many times he’s done this.
Particularly impressive when you learn that he absolutely hated doing this scene and didn’t want to drag Drea de Matteo out of the car or call her the c-word, she helped and encouraged him to go through with the brutality of the scene.
Tonys story was brilliant. Adriana thinks Chris tried to commit suicide because of her talking to the FEDs and him not knowing another way out. Any other story would have made her suspicious, but her guilt blinded her.
@@jeffjeffries8924 this is cold. She was, for the most part, endlessly supportive of him, encouraging him. She loved him. In return he beat her, cheated on her both physically and emotionally, and had her killed once she complicated things. He hated her. He called her the worst names after her death. Their entire relationship meant nothing to him, ever. He then leveraged him giving her up to Tony against Tony multiple times like that was the sum of her existence to him. And he's getting your sympathy? Men are super cold towards women just because they're not men. It's deep as fuck.
Adriana's death truly was the end of Chris's arc. He starts the series by killing an innocent, the Polack garbage kid, to cement his loyalty to Tony and the crew. He ends his arc by sacrificing Adriana, the only person in his life who loves him unconditionally and genuinely cares about him, to Tony, the man that will kill him in cold-blood. This moment was when Chris sealed his fate.
His date was sealed when he let Tony live after he was caught late at night with his girl. He could have got a green light to take him out or be given a pass if he did,c
Christopher proves his loyalty not only by confessing. He's heartbroken because he already convinced himself he has to kill her himself, thus cleaning his "own mess" and honor the family.
He wanted to keep on living the luxury mob life and not be a nobody like that guy in the old car at the gas station with his wife and his kids. He didn’t wanna be poor like him, that’s why he told Tony.

Of all characters in the Sopranos, I felt so bad for Adrianna. Really hard to watch her life break apart. For me one of the finest acting in this series.
@@nameless.greyceo When Janice is at the Bus terminal after shes killed Richie and is leaving town, Tony goes to see her off. She asks what he did with the body and he says a very similar quote.
She slowly realized what was happening, became childlike in her last moments, She's almost childlike crawling away screaming and crying. Extremely heartbreaking and very disturbing.
@@ikon8275 nope. She didn't know she was being whacked until the car came to a stop in the woods, hence the very surprised and startled expression she takes. If she knew Sil was gonna put one in her brain from the start she would have been freaking out. She didn't know where the hospital/rehab was. She was in tears during the ride because as Sil was trying to "console" her, she was feeling responsible for Christopher's "suicide attempt". She was not in the mafia and did not have the wherewithal to figure out what was happening to her during the drive. The camera shots of the trees becoming thicker is misleading but it isn't, its actually brilliant.
For me, the way Sil treats Adrianna haunts me... for years he treated her like family, but then he uses foul language to drag her unwillingly out of the car. It's so cold. Unlike some who never knew what was coming, Adrianna died in fear and pain. And yeah, I know these guys are mafia and treat humans like garbage at times.
It's believable though, as the one thing that runs through all the true life mafia docis I have seen, is that anyone who turns 'rat' is hated beyond all others.
these guys are all psychopaths, they're not good people at all. it's wild to me how many people can watch shows like this and still expect ruthless killers to grow a conscience randomly
@@beowulf_of_wall_st I dont agree.... In this instance, there really was no other alternative. Adriana had to die, to protect the entire institution they are a part of, which pays for hundreds of peoples families... Of course it is wrong, it is murder, but I completely understand it from the POV of the leadership. She could bring down everything, which would not just affect the guys, but also their families who benefit from crime money. She was a threat to their very existance, and therefore had to be neutralised. I am just glad I am not a part of something so horrible and have to make such horrible decisions.
When they were doing the woods scene Steven Van Zandt was feeling awful about having to get rough with Dreas character, but Drea told him not to worry about it , " I'll be fine , just go for it " She said . As ruthless as Silvio was Steve Van Zandt was a really sweet guy.
Van Zandt's performance here is pretty remarkable. Plays it with subtle detachment, repeating vague comforting cliches but you can see in his eyes that it's all a mask and that he's already steeled himself for the moment. Ruthless.
Trying to keep his prey guessing until the end. The consummate predator. She never truly understood they were a pack of wolves and she'd always be just a sheep.
He apparently hated the scene too, he did not like that he had to get physical with Drea and he really didn’t like that he had to call her a cunt. Drea had to convince him to do the scene!
The coldest part about Adriana's murder for me at least, is that Sil, Tony, and Chris, all relied on Adriana actually caring enough for Chris in order for them to kill her. If she didn't care about Chris, she would've ran like we see her fantasizing during the car ride with Sil, but she DID care, and that was her mistake, caring about someone that didn't care about her even half as much as she cared about them.
Yep. Can u imagine how hard that would hit u in the back of the car. You are being driven to your death, and you were setup by the person you love most in the world.
The characters in the series are so colorful and well written and the acting is so brilliant, it's hard to hold back tears on this episode. What a masterpiece! One of the greatest episodes!
IMO even sadder then her death , in her last moments realizing the man she loved more than life itself and who she backed up and stood for thru everything sold her out to be killed.
It's the little details that really show in this series. The way Silvio casually palms the wheel as he parks up in the forest, as if he's done this a thousand times and driving a woman out into the middle of nowhere to shoot her is the same to him as parking up to get groceries. It really shows that despite his likeability in many scenes, he's a remorseless murderer at heart.
They all are but this is the thing TV makes us feel sympathy and upset at times about these mobsters and their life but in reality the bottom line is they are cold blooded killers who would rob murder and kill you.
the songs playing in his car are like his prep for killing her - shawn smith's leaving california "Don't want too long, till you see it undone, yeah" and "If you ever want to get away from California / Maybe in another life you like to stay / And the devil may call you when he thinks it's time / You know that he'll be knocking if you're still here" and then when he parks up, it's barracuda by heart which is like "So this ain't the end, I saw you again, today / I had to turn my heart away / Smiled like the sun, kisses for everyone" and "You lying so low in the weeds / I bet you gonna ambush me / You'd have me down, down, down, down on my knees". this scene breaks my heart every time but i didnt notice the songs until just now
This was the real breaking point for Tony and Christopher’s relationship. Tony thought what he did as the greatest favor of all time while Christopher thought his admittance was the ultimate display of loyalty. Neither of them thinks the other made a sacrifice.
Many are misreading this. Adriana realized she was being driven towards her death the minute he pulled out of the exit. The show even went as far as showing the going off the exit ramp and her facial expression changing to fear and desperation the exact time this happens. People are saying that she didn't realize it until the car stopped because she didn't react physically or try to run until he stopped and opened the door. But that's not true. That's not how the brain works when you are in a state of shock. She was already an emotional wreck and when she got the call from Tony about the suicide attempt, she was even more distraught, worried, scared, and guilt ridden. She may have led her lover suicide. Now Silvio (the enemy) is picking her up to take her to see the very person she drove to attempted suicide. She doesn't know WHAT to do or whom to go to. As Silvio is turning off the ramp, she realizes that he's not going to the hospital but in a different direction and her face changes. She suspects now that he is taking her out to get killed. But she hangs on for a slim hope. The brain in a state of shock and desperation will do these irrational fear like bargaining, delaying, etc. "Maybe there's a chance, maybe something else. I don't want to believe it!" It takes TIME to slowly come to grips with new detrimental life altering shocking info. Especially if this info is that you will be killied in a few minutes. Especially if you are already in a state of mental anguish. It takes time to process this - so she is emotionally devastated and virtually paralyzed. Besides, what will she do? Wrestle him in the car right now? So while it is taking time to process this, time is something she unfortunately does not have! When he stops the car and gets out making a motion towards the door, her mind snaps back to the present here and now and she enters the "fight or flight" mode by kicking, trying to run, pleading - all futile and irrational attempts at this point. Going as far as crawling away on all fours (what purpose does that serve?) only to be shot in the head. So YES, she knew she was going to die. And it took time for her to process this. Even though she only physically reacted once the car stopped. She may have been stupid in other ways. But she wasn't that stupid as other say to not realize this until Silvio stopped the car. This was all a natural human response which many of us would have had.
It’s usually easier to respect Silvio compared to most in the family due to his distinguished loyalty and counsel to Tony, as well as his general level headedness compared to most of the other characters. But then they show you a scene like this, his ruthless satisfied demeanor with what he’s about to do in spite of who it is that he’s doing it to, and you’re reminded that he is just as much of a remorseless monster as the rest of them.
She was an informant killing informants is like the last morally bad thing the mafia does it’s what’s done in every conflict or war ever you collaborate you go pretty simple not like he killed a random here it’s just cos she’s a woman you’re saying this
@@BostonsF1nest I'm surprised she didn't get suspicious when he turned off the highway she didn't get suspicious about where they were really headed, especially when he turned off the road on to the dirt road , you'd think she's of at least tried to get out of the car the minute he turned on to the dirt road. She was stupid, she would have only done 5 years and still be alive. She got what she deserved rat
What I love most about this scene is that shot of Sil's car taking a detour. That's when you know it's really happening. And then the look on Adrianna's face when she looks out and realizes where they're heading. My heart never broke for Tony or any other character in this show the way it did for Adrianna.
Her reaction on Letterman after this was hilarious. They did a top 10 and hers was, "What, it's not like you're going to kill my character off or anything."
I dont get why ppl felt bad for her. She did nothing but make poor decisions. Everything she did could have and should have been handled differently. Her actions led to these consequences. She knew the life they were in and the risk she was taking
I love how fast Tony switches from concerned friend to business in the matter of seconds! The way you actually see the transition is just so well done.
Once she saw the secluded wood area, she definitely began to fear that they knew and were setting her up. You can see she goes from very quiet and melancholy to crying hysterically and her face and body started shaking. It was very sad to see her get killed considering she was a pretty nice woman who happened to get caught up in crime all around her even though she wasn't a criminal. RIP Adriana.
She brought this on herself tbh, she got caught with hard drugs, didn’t want to eat the charges so she turned informant just like puss. Idk maybe I’m crazy but even if I’m facing 40+ years minimum I’m not farting out gangsters who know how to find me unless I’m planning to move to a remote country
The acting here is so amazing, so intense. They couldn't have done it better. The way Christopher practically speaks in code because he's so scared and ashamed. The way Tony goes from chill to anxious to enraged was done absolutely perfectly. Even the look on Tony's face when he's hugging him you can tell he's got 10000 things going through his head at that moment. Hands down the best scene of the entire series.
It’s a great scene, no doubt. However, for me, it would be that final boat scene with Big Pussy, particularly the part where Puss is still trying to talk his way out of it by claiming that he was “mind-_ ucking those donkeys” by giving them “picayune shit”, and Tony wasn’t buying it for one millisecond.
This was before they let women and dudes with purple hair in the writing room. Back then it’s was just windowless rooms that smell like fart and old pizza boxes. That’s where the real magic happens.
James Gandolfini doesn’t even get enough credit for how much of a good actor he is. This scene in particular is just brilliant. The way he is trying to console him at first but the minute he hears “feds” he coldly pulls his hand away from him and moves backwards as he questions if Christopher is a rat. Once he has confirmation that it’s just her that’s ratting he goes back to consoling him. Damn brilliant scene
@@loum614 I don't think that's what they mean. It's just a hard episode to watch because you get invested in these characters stories and when the inevitable happens it hurts. It's not about being a pussy or a macho man
The Fear in her eyes from the moment she started crying it’s like she knew she was going to die ! Her desperate plea and the brutal way she met her end was utterly shocking , the abuse she suffered for years and the way the FBI set her up for slaughter is the saddest character ark I have seen , it still makes me squirm and it’s 14 years+ since that episode first aired
Such a heartbreaking scene. The sheer terror as she realises what's happening as Sil gets out the car, her desperate attempts to lock the door and, finally, her crawling on the forrest ground like a terrified animal trying to escape from a predator. It was all very primal and animalistic - just like the killing itself. I actually thought this was the single most disturbing scene from the entire series, along with the killing/stabbing of fat Dom (which also involved Sil). Sil makes for a great and very scary psycho, imo, and I suppose because Van Zandt is such a nice, friendly, laid-back and likeable guy in real life, it kinda is sometimes hard to take his Sporanos character seriously at times. Great series! Brings back a lot of memories!
Gandolfini was born to be Tony Soprano and his utter brilliance raised everyone’s bar about 5 notches. I’m convinced that’s the production crew along with the actors. Everyone. He was the Sun that all the planets rotated in this show. Remarkable.
We all know what a titan of an actor gandolfini was. But Imperioli was on par with him scene after scene. Just two outstanding actors. We will never see another show like this.
Once she didn't hear from Chris and heard Sil was coming to pick her up, she should have gotten in her car and never looked back. I wish that daydream scene of hers was real and that's what she really did... and then we see her with Sil and know it's over. Tragic. She should have trusted her instincts and just left right then. Leave it all behind.
1:42 , “I can’t do it, Tone.” Was probably the best thing Chrissy could of said. Opposed to “Don’t do it, Tone.” It probably showed to Tone that Chrissy still had some loyalty.
The moment he calls her after talking to Chris I knew and everyone who watched/watches the show knew that she was dead. I didn't know Silvio was so brutal though. Poor thing.
@@Arcaryon Maybe. Silvio wasn't a maniac. But there was one thing that all mobsters, but especially Silvio, couldn't stand. And that's a rat. Silvio wasn't shown killing many people in the show. He really didn't have to. Aside from the killing of Fat Dom and Burt Gervasi (and Burt was garroted for his disloyalty), I'm pretty sure everyone Silvio was shown killing was an informant. He seemed to want a part of that. And Adrianna, whatever else she was that might have earned her some sympathy, was an informant. I'm sure Silvio would have fed her face first into a wood chipper if he could have. In the words of one of his contemporaries, "...being a rat where I come from, is like asking someone like you [a Jewish lawyer] to be a fucking Nazi." The second Tony told Silvio what she was being whacked for, I'm sure Silvio's heart went dead cold.
@@oceandark3044 Exactly what I meant. There are many rules in the organized crime Lucky Luciano created all those years ago but this is one of the old sicilian rules he merley continued, the now infamous Omertà, the code of silence against the authorities and outsiders.
Man. This show was something else. The way that at times you root for these guys, you laugh and joke along with them, you care about them, and then it’s scenes like this where you are reminded of the reality: These men, and the real kind of people they were based on, weren’t nice unless it was for their own gain, they weren’t caring, they were evil sociopaths and would kill anyone without hesitation, just because of the ‘Code’.
If I remember correctly, the scene in Tony's basement was showed as a flashback later on. What they actually put in was Chris at a petrol station after he had agreed to go away with Adriana; he saw a couple (actually a beat-up version of himself and Ade, not the subtlest moment in the series) with children, having a miserable time, the implication being he then realised what lay ahead for him. The next thing in the storyline was Tony's call, which made perfect sense. And, finally, the terrible outcome: Chris chooses to forgo a despondent existence even if that means a death warrant for the woman he loves.
I didn't understand it that way. They zoomed in the hand of a father on the shoulder of his boy. I think Christopher understood that family is the most important thing, that he had to be loyal to Tony, that he was like a father to him... I don't agree with him though, and his death confirmed he made the wrong decision...

Anything else and she would have been sussed as shit but she felt so guilty about everything she didn’t even think. Perfection. 👌🏻
yeah the story worked so well because she felt guilt from what she told him, imagining it caused a suicide attempt - thinking that's exactly what would happen if he was so conflicted he didn't want to tell anyone, but couldn't go on knowing the truth. i wonder at what point she realized they weren't going to the hospital, lol. Surprised she didn't make a move on him I mean - what do you have to lose? you're about to die, 100%.
The second Tony told her “I’m sending Sil to pick you up” she should have ran like hell to the cops. You just revealed that you’ve been working for the FBI and all of a sudden a family member needs to pick you up? Is she incapable of driving herself? She should have known better.
Okay, let's be real, you hear the love of your life attempted suicide and someone calls and alludes it was because of you (either an action or inaction). She was probably hysterical and not thinking straight
this was such a sad scene, she spent the last few hours of her life scared for someone she loved only for the last few seconds to become an even bigger nightmare
The actress absolutely crushed it in this scene. She was absolutely amazing going from concerned about her man to the slow realization that she is being driven to her death. This is one of the toughest scenes to watch, but it also reminded you that some of our favorite characters are really bad guys, personally I blame the FBI too. They helped get her killed. @@bbthompson05 TBH i think it was almost too good. if i was trying to convince someone of something like that, it would never be that smooth. i mean i get it, the character is good at it, but it was seamless.
I didn’t even realize when I first watched this storyline that tony called Adriana from a pay phone to tell her about Chris’s “suicide attempt”. That shoulda gave it away immediately that he was setting her up to get killed. I already was like 80 percent sure, but these details you Miss is what makes the show great.
ThePoorKid they’ve shown in the show that they have cell phones and have used them a lot. Why would tony use a pay phone in some random lot to call Adriana? It’s so that if they go through her phone and see her last call was from Tony before she “disappeared” it would be suspicious. Pay phones were public usage back in the day. The government couldn’t wiretap a pay phone unless they got a court granted wiretap from a judge. Besides, that’s only if the same pay phone keeps get used again and again for drug activity or something like in the show “the wire”. But I just think tony didn’t want anything leading back to him. So calling from a pay phone would be the safest bet.
Do American payphones have a signal on the line telling you you’re being called from one? Ones in the UK do (precisely because of their use by criminals).
@@thepoorkid6004 Because he's trying to obfuscate his part in her death. If he called using his own phone, then Feds looking into her disappearance would see a direct link.
I believe the director wanted a less horrific scene, but the actress playing Adriana thank god insisted on this. This scene was really powerful, showing how ruthless they truly are.
@@DatShadowGuy They actually filmed the first part as part of the episode where Adriana is killed but Drea de Matteo, who played Adriana, suggested that they cut the scene in order to make Adriana’s death more suspenseful for viewers. Drea also said that Steven Van Zandt didn’t want to drag her out of the car or call her the c-word but she convinced him that it would be okay and make an amazing scene.
I love how this show is at times so hilarious/full of humor and at other times its dead-serious drama . Absolutely legendary show and this scene and Adriana's ultimate fate is so unfair and harrowing...
Unfair? She knew exactly who she was marrying and what he did for a living. She spent his money, enjoyed the lavish gifts and vip status everywhere she went. She deserved what she got.

The moment that The Sopranos decided to show us all who these beloved characters really were. I remember feeling a psychic break from them after this moment. I thought, "Okay...let them all go down."
They showed us that from the opening episode. These guys were mobsters, criminals, murderers, and remorseless sociopaths. They are all phenomenal characters, but we weren't supposed to like any of them. It's what makes the show so great.
@@jasonkoch3182 Yeah, but they were in some dark grey areas. With this scene Silvio was all black. Not just becasue he killed her, but the way he did it. Didnt even say sorry to her or something nice just so her last moments werent as awful.
Ade is possibly the most tragic character in the series for me. there is something so innocent and naive about her. she has her faults too, she's a product of her environment. but i really believed she loved Chris with all of her hearth. And the fact that at the end she really didn't have anyone to truly talk about her life so she started to talk her private things with the FBI agents just to talk. she really needed a real friend. she always seemed so positive and naive about everyone i think she didn't hink bad about anyone. for her everyone can get better. and Christopher snatched on her the second she revealed everything. maybe it was the logical choice, but it's obviously not the choice of a man who loves someone.
She has genuine love and empathy. The man she loves is a complete psychopath who associates with people of similar standing. I do think Chris loved Adriana on some level but it's a lot more superficial than the way normal people feel it. He would cheat on her without remorse, hit her etc.
Please, she made the choice to inform to the FBI which was going to get her "love" arrested and imprisoned for life, all to save herself from doing a little time for possession. If that's the mark of a woman who loves someone, I'll gladly reject her love. If she truly loved him, then she would have came to him about the arrest, and the FBI trying tot urn her, and told the FBI to go F themselves and done the time she had earned by willfully brekaing the law. Instead, her selfishness caused them to both be killed in the end.
@joshuawood1436 Yeah! She was raised in the lifestyle. She wasn't a noob to the scene. Still, she didn't deserve to get beat around by chris. It is why I felt no sympathy with how he died. He got off better than he deserved.

Yea. Tony's hand dropping when Chrissy mentions FBI, and Imperioli selling the heartbreak - at the time I felt bad for Adrianna, but I didn't really realize they actually wrote her as arguably the best person on the entire show. The FBI used her and the people she trusted murdered her.
Steve’s acting in the car is sublime. That simmering anger is so obvious when you already know what’s coming, but the way he feigns it with the false sympathy and comments about Christopher… Can’t watch it without the feeling of trepidation even having seen it 20 times!
Was just going to post about this, if she started crying because she knew, or just overwhelmed with crissy's situation. She was never the brightest lightbulb, so maybe she didn't know? Wouldn't she have said something if she knew then?
@Mr. Husky Ya, I think so too..unless she kinda knew, but then when it started to unfold, it really hit her then? Just weird how they shoot the trees, then her starting to cry. That's what makes it a bit confusing...On purpose?
I don't always love Imperioli's writing credits, but he was simply perfect as Chrissy. This scene is such a blessingfor a gifted actor. Like a stage play.

Weird part is Sil interviewed for United Airlines after the show. And after he showed them this scene he was hired on the spot.

1:42 , “I can’t do it, Tone.” Was probably the best thing Chrissy could of said. Opposed to “Don’t do it, Tone.” It probably showed to Tone that Chrissy still had some loyalty.
Last words from Tony being “I’ll see you up there” should have been a cause for suspicion.
The moment he calls her after talking to Chris I knew and everyone who watched/watches the show knew that she was dead. I didn't know Silvio was so brutal though. Poor thing.
Silvio is old school no bullshit
@Paul Robinson I know, I just thought he would kill here without her knowing that he was going to.
Silvio is a stone cold gangster
The dialogue was perfect. Tony’s last words to Adriana, “I’ll see you up there.”
But he’s pretty much accepted the fact that he’s going to hell.
Dialogue should have been "I'll see you down there"😂
He means up at ramapo which is almost in New York north of where they are that’s all lol. Not everything needs to have a double meaning

Scene was done too perfection with so many hidden gems
Thanks for confirming, I bought Season 5 on DVD last year and I didn’t see the scene in Long Term Parking. It had been so long since I had watched Season 5 and 6 that I thought the scene was missing from the DVD.
Actually that wouldn't have been Christopher's future, Ade couldn't have kids.
@@peteluis2849 I don't remember if it was definite or just that she might be unable to have kids, but it's a good point. She was 'damaged goods', I believe was the charming way Christopher put it.
@@gabyjuen Nope. The family seemed pretty poor, in a beat up old car. He looked at that family and realised that would be him if he went into protective custody with Ade, and immediately realised it was a life he just wasn’t willing to live.
If not she would have gotten together with Artie, she’d still be alive. If only he still had his hair...
Artie could have hair like Casey Kasem and Adriana still would be with Christopher!

Man everything was pulled off perfectly. Christopher proved himself loyal but at his own mental and moral cost, and the lie Tony told her on the phone was actually the PERFECT story. Anything else and she would have been sussed as shit but she felt so guilty about everything she didn’t even think. Perfection. 👌🏻
He’s loyle to his capo
What makes it even more tragic is that Christopher didn’t live much longer himself after this, killed by Tony anyway.
yeah the story worked so well because she felt guilt from what she told him, imagining it caused a suicide attempt - thinking that's exactly what would happen if he was so conflicted he didn't want to tell anyone, but couldn't go on knowing the truth. i wonder at what point she realized they weren't going to the hospital, lol. Surprised she didn't make a move on him I mean - what do you have to lose? you're about to die, 100%.
This is exactly why Tony kept Carmella out of his business. Christopher failed to protect Adriana.
The second Tony told her “I’m sending Sil to pick you up” she should have ran like hell to the cops. You just revealed that you’ve been working for the FBI and all of a sudden a family member needs to pick you up? Is she incapable of driving herself? She should have known better.
She wasn't the brightest brush in the shinebox
They blind sided her with the Chris lie
@@XIntoxicationalX Yep she loved him too much to think for herself.
silvio was probably already there waiting.
Okay, let's be real, you hear the love of your life attempted suicide and someone calls and alludes it was because of you (either an action or inaction). She was probably hysterical and not thinking straight
Christopher’s understanding that she had to go but that he couldn’t do it was epic. He knew she had to go.
No, he had a choice of murdering his fiancée or going into the WPP. He chose murdering his fiancée.

this was such a sad scene, she spent the last few hours of her life scared for someone she loved only for the last few seconds to become an even bigger nightmare
Everyone she loved turned against her in a brutal way. Insane.
She had ta go
The actress absolutely crushed it in this scene. She was absolutely amazing going from concerned about her man to the slow realization that she is being driven to her death. This is one of the toughest scenes to watch, but it also reminded you that some of our favorite characters are really bad guys, personally I blame the FBI too. They helped get her killed. She wasn’t built for that roll.

I know she was a rat, but there was just something so human and so sad about Silvio harshly throwing her to the ground and she tries crawling away, too terrified to even stand up. I genuinely felt bad for Adriana. The actress that played Adriana just absolutely killed this role and this is one of the scenes that just lodged itself in my mind even after all these years.
The actor playing Silvio actually said it was a tough scene for him to shoot.
"I know she was a rat, but" that makes her one of the best characters in the show lmao
She didn't rat on anybody. She was killed because tony thought she might rat.
@@mikem3875 she gave up 2 murders (Joey Cogo and the guy at her club) and a lot of smaller stuff, and she tried to flip Christopher lol
You're talking like helping bring murderers and trieves to justice is a bad thing.
Tony’s lying to Adriana was insane, an actor acting a scene that he’s acting in. James killed that shit.
I was thinking the same thing. It's very hard for an actor to act like they're acting, without over acting. If that makes any sense.
@@bbthompson05 TBH i think it was almost too good. if i was trying to convince someone of something like that, it would never be that smooth. i mean i get it, the character is good at it, but it was seamless.
I love how Tony uses Christopher’s “Jesus I dont even know how to say this…” line from earlier when lying to Adrianna.
Adriana never had the makings of a varsity docking station
I havent laughed this much in a while. Thank you
Wtf, great comment
Sorry for being a stupid fuck but what’s the joke lol
Oh yes she did. She could dock so many controllers
How would a pay phone give it away if I may ask? I was born in the early 2000s so Idk much about how pay phones work
ThePoorKid they’ve shown in the show that they have cell phones and have used them a lot.
The last words Tony said to Adrianna were see you up there nice touch . 😇
Do American payphones have a signal on the line telling you you’re being called from one? Ones in the UK do (precisely because of their use by criminals).
@@thepoorkid6004
Because he's trying to obfuscate his part in her death. If he called using his own phone, then Feds looking into her disappearance would see a direct link.
I believe the director wanted a less horrific scene, but the actress playing Adriana thank god insisted on this. This scene was really powerful, showing how ruthless they truly are.
Hey I'm watching this on HBO app and the beginning of this scene isn't in the episode
@@stackmon3y1989 The first part is a flashback shown later
@@DatShadowGuy They actually filmed the first part as part of the episode where Adriana is killed but Drea de Matteo, who played Adriana, suggested that they cut the scene in order to make Adriana’s death more suspenseful for viewers. It was eventually included as a flashback in an episode of the following season. Drea also said that Steven Van Zandt didn’t want to drag her out of the car or call her the c-word but she convinced him that it would be okay and make an amazing scene.

The way Tony could talk to someone and make them feel cokpletely comfortable was outstanding.
Still one of the hardest hitting scenes in any tv series to date. The writing and acting on this show was honestly on another level.
It was but I think Game of Thrones has it beat. Watching innocent, sweet Shireen Baratheon getting burnt alive at the stake by order of her parents was worse.
GOT is so mediocre that Twilight has even better story and ending.

Bro I’m watching the show on a site, and for some reason they don’t have the part where Christopher tells Tony abt Adriana! It just cuts to the part where Tony tells Adriana he tried to commit suicide.
They spliced the clip from season 6 onto Adriana’s death scene
The moment that The Sopranos decided to show us all who these beloved characters really were.
I remember feeling a psychic break from them after this moment.
I thought, "Okay...let them all go down."
Yes. I love Sylvio throughout the show, but his callous treatment and killing of Adriana sure put a massive stain on my opinion of him.
Sameeee
She was a rat. Had to be done
Right. Didn't Adriana's uncle get mad at Chris, not because he smacked her, but because he hadn't married her yet, so she wasn't his property yet.
@@joshuawood1436 The FBI agents played her dumb ass well with the whole "up to 25 years" thing , it's her first offence most likely and her lawyers can easily argue all the stuff about it not even being her cocaine etc etc. No way she gets near 25 years lol.

Yea. Tony's hand dropping when Chrissy mentions FBI, and Imperioli selling the heartbreak - at the time I felt bad for Adrianna, but I didn't really realize they actually wrote her as arguably the best person on the entire show. The FBI used her and the people she trusted murdered her.
