I know they are not new or grate shape but do thank you on showing these Real Rider Junk yard beaters. I Really enjoyed this. I only collect Real Riders in near mint shape but seeing them on your junk yard diorama makes me want to start collecting the rough ones, PS! loved the Hot Wheels cash up derby!
Your diorama gave me the greatest idea for my son's hotwheel play table! Awesome!

I love my old beaters, just so much character and if only they could tell their story. I'm sure everyone would love a few old Real Rider beaters - luckily they aren't too hard to come by on eBay.
Another great video. I've got 34 old Black wall Cars for my Junk Yard no Real Riders tho. Some Hi Rakers and the ones that are all ready dented.

A lot of diecast customizers would love to get their hands on those Goodyear real rider tires...that 40's Ford 2 door could be salvaged ....it would be sweet as a custom...that Dodge Rampage with the motorcycle in the back is so cool....I would restore that!

I'm always amazed to see the Goodyear print still so fresh on the tire I remember playing with my Real riders so much as a kid I wore that print right off!
I was also amazed to see that on some of the more beat up cars in this box, it made me wonder if they had a tire change at some point in their life. Maybe the old tires passed 100,000 miles and were worn out! LOL

I've been collection since I was roughly 5yrs old now 40. I've recently gotten a purple super scraper but the plow is missing and the roll bar is bent. The paint is still in mint condition though.

Fantastic! A lot of us intentionally removed the plow on the plowtruck when we were kids. I know I did on a couple.
I love junky old diecast, they still have plenty of value to me. I hope they do not turn into donor parts, that makes me sad. ha

+Orrex11 In mint condition those sell for around $45 on ebay. In good condition with only small chips and light toning, it's probably still worth $15 or so.

the Chevy S10 is called "Path beater" , the "Bywayman" is a 1980's Chevy Silverado C10 and the "Pick 'em up " is a 1950's ford pickup. you also forgot to mention that the Jeep pickup has a toolbox in the back as well. also can I please have the pick em up the path beaters the bywaymans and the dodge rampage?

That was sort of sad... Like a funeral for Real Riders, some have earned their spots, but some still seem to have life as fillers in collections.

Great fun. You have an emotional connection with these little vehicles. And why not? I found a seller at a car boot sale and picked up a few HW but also 20 early Matchbox. Some are nearly as old as I am (62) I can even remember owning a few from way back.

wordreet Very cool, and yes, I do have quite a bond to my little cars. I've got many of the same cars since I was a little kid, with all the memories too. It's always fun picking up more .... if only they could all tell me their stories! (some times I make one up)
wtffor I'm also up for a bit of tuning, repairing, customising and any other malarkay that might come to mind. I've already replaced a front axle with music wire and tiny beads for wheel stops. My current 'test' track is made entirely from cut down electrical trunking. Approx 23 feet at the moment, with about 13 feet long hill 2.5 foot high, with a kick up at the other end so that the cars come back, engage the hill again, then roll out to their finish position.

I mostly want to investigate ways to improve perfornace. Heh, I expect it's all been tried before though. ;¬)

I collected these cars over several purchases, they did not cost very much at the time. I also have all of these cars in mint condition on my display walls, and more duplicates in mint condition elsewhere in the Hot Wheels Museum
