I love this song," Ramblin Gamblin man," then comes, "Turn the page," and "Hollywood nights." He's got countless hits.. I saw him live twice at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan. I went to the same high school that Bob Seger went to, and I was born in the same hospital that the actor Lee Majors was born in. So, I lived in Lincoln Park, Michigan, most of my adult life. I was born at Wyandotte General Hospital, which is in the City of Wyandotte, which is about approximately 11 meiles, from the southeast Detroit border. I was born at the tail end of the Detroit race riots that happened in July of 1967. I was born on August 2nd. My mom almost had me in the cab on the way to the hospital because we had to go through National Guard checkpoints, which did not help the cab drivers nerves very much. He asked my mom not to have me in the car, and she obliged him..... LOL. Anyway, I talked to some of the teachers when I was in LincolnPark High, and they told me that indeed Bob Seger went to that high school for a while. In fact, there are pictures of him in the hallways of Lincoln Park High School, my alma mater. So, that is my 6° of separation.
Jamal, my wife and I think there are a few songs from Seger's first live album that YOU need to check out. The album is Live Bullet (a great live album) and it’s on UA-cam. A lot of people won’t suggest these because they weren’t national hits and they don’t get played on the classic rock stations. They are early Seger just before he hit big nationally. But you’ll dig ‘em and the Silver Bullet Band SHINES on these songs! I saw them in the day and you would have loved it. My wife and I enjoy your joy and your spirit. Get Funky! Peace! The songs: [1] Nutbush City Limits (a cover of an old Ike and Tina Turner song) [2] Bo Diddley [3] Heavy Music

@@nolimit7959 It did here in Michigan and a few surrounding states, but that was it.
@@parisbrat I live in Illinois and I never heard of that tune Until I bought the Tape Cassette back in the 90s!
@@nolimit7959 I have friends in my age group from the Chicago area who heard it.
You can't help by MOVE!! You are so funny!!! Loving right away! I've listen to this 10 times in a row!!!
Do Rolling Stones beast of burden.
Seger was introduced to me in the early 70's by two friends in the Navy that grew up in Michigan and saw him in some small venues when he started!
Do '2+2+?' by the bob seger system, its a banger.
In 69, Bob was traveling all the time filling small venues and rocking the roofs off! Rambling on to the next and gambling his luck with the local ladies. Pretty good lyrics from a very young man back then. So glad you went back in his catalog. Check out 2 plus 2 and his cover of "if I were a carpenter" from his early days.
Hey brother can you please react to brother Bob’s song. We’ve got tonight, it was his first number one hit you’ve got to check it out, thanks and peace out ✌🏾
His first #1 was in Canada in 1977, Mainstreet. Still one of my faves. We love him here too. Hubby is American and we both love Bob's music. 🙂
Just found your channel and watched this episode as the 1st. Love Bob Seger. The name of that old band when he recorded this in 1969 was “The Bob Seger System” He’s been kickin’ ass for a long long time. Great show and you have a new subscriber!
Sounds a little like, Grande Funk Railroad!
Or more accurately Grand Funk sounds like Seger.
Thank you for liking my aspirations and being one of my biggest fan, hope you don’t stop someday?
@@officialbobseger39 Don't have to worry about that, your music is timeless. A lot of your music is always looking back to the good Ole days. Maybe the best is yet to come? Thanks for your response too! 👍
@@Smittay-Sr. Thanks for being a true fan user are you currently on any of my fans club?
@@officialbobseger39 No I'm not. I did not know about them? I'll research and look them up. Thanks. Any social media, like twitter?
Yeah! This was old Bob Seger, this was the raw, Rockin’ Seger!! Love it!!!
Thanks for this song. Finished high school 1969 Chicago and went to hang with a friend near Detroit for the summer. Drove an ice cream truck and this song came out. Playing all day long on WXYZ-AM. Wow.
Thos song saved me back in high school in 1994. God bless classic rock.
This is my all time fav.. Bob should of been longer!! I've heard this 00 times in a row. Once Upon A Time in hollywood!!! Great Movie!!!!
I’m 66 and I love your reactions to my favorite music from 60s and 70s.
Been Grovin with it since 1968. Yaaaaaa Baby!!!!!!! The Anthem ain't never gonna slow down 👍😁🎭
I appreciate your love towards my music hope you don’t stop liking my aspirations?
Jamal,,we need you now more than ever. Don’t ever forget that. Much love and respect brothther❤️
Much love Jamel. That was a rocker from way back. Vocal performance was a perfect fit. You are correct Sir. Thank you.....Yuma,AZ.
This song has such a bounce to it! So much soul and a little bit of a church feel!
The song lyrics remind me of Papa Was a Rolling Stone. Bunch of crazy azz men!!! Have loved this song for all these years! Glad you addressed it! Super reaction, dude!!!
Bob started playing and singing at a young age (...just 13 when I had to leave home) therefore; had to gamble on himself and travel for his art and income. He was /is a real, sweet Midwest boy extraordinaire, not a party animal but, of our generation and, time. He is timeless national treasure. Thanks for your excellent picks and show as well as sharing your thoughts 👏🏼☮️💕🎼🎵🎶💋The Church organ is a Hammond B3.
How did I miss this reaction??? Every time I hear this song, I start smiling thinking of you dancing along. I got my wish, thank you!!!
Bob's made some of the best driving/riding songs of all time. You can't keep it under 90 when Bob's at the wheel!
