Josh Middleton will be having Architects open for his band soon enough. 😉
I used to love architects until their latest album revealed how much of a sell out they are to the corporate establishment narrative. Either that or they’re brainwashed shills
Mto foda essa banda meo queridão uhsuha 😂 obg pela qualidade,pq extremou é sensacional divino issu é dahora demais....
The instrumental quality is definitely better with this band nowadays, but Architects' lyrics are something the whole world needs to hear
This album will be on repeat for a long time here!
Same here. Awesome Album.
Well, the vocals are certainly front & center this time. Right on your forehead. Every single Sylosis album is great in its own way. I do miss the tight crazy riffage from EotE & Monolith but I'm enjoying their evolution as a band. I love all of it. I just wish more people would discover this band.
They've gotten a bit more groovy but I'm loving it. It's cool that they're evolving like this.
Conclusion of an Age
I only have, after having this come into my feed. Will be checking out their other albums.
Man, Sylosis should be out there conquering the world like every other big band, they've been in this road for so long that is hard to believe you don't see them at Wacken and places alike.
@@thedyingdave4491 well, if u look at it it logistically, to play those festivals costs more $ than they would make from it, just to play a 20 minute set. Hardly seems worth it.
One of best things of 2023, thanks guys
Will always love and support Sylosis, every album and every UK tour! Norwich 4eva.
Absent gives me chills, the atmosphere it creates is incredible
Just listened to the whole thing, great album. A Godless Throne, Poison for the Lost, Deadwood, and Judas are my favorites.
This is their "Black" album. Though this is not popish or indiesh by any rate. The focus is dominantly on making songs that are memorable whilst Sylosis staying and syphoning their true essence and source. Not saying that wasn't the case before. Before their focus was on different things. If you watched Game of Thrones, when Robert Baratheon asks Cersei, what is more 1 or 5. With five his hand is open, with one he doesn't show one finger but a closed fist and says ( I am paraphrasing) -> "One army, lead by one purpose is more powerful". This is that mentality, the focus is unscattered. Tremendous work.
On one hand, it's stupid to ask them to just repeat an older album. On the other hand, while it's nice to see progression, I do long for more material along the lines of Conclusion of an Age and Edge of the Earth. This album isn't bad, but it's less memorable to my ears.
Pariahs had some riffs that reminded me of Edge of the Earth and Conclusion of an Age
Absent.. I know the feeling. This was a great album. Remarkable
A new Sylosis album is always welcome 🤘
I think I'm going to go back to listening to their earlier work instead while waiting for another new album. Hopefully the next one is better than whatever this was.
Like wine. Better and better every year
Num 1 in Metal 2023 for me, cheers!
I work in an office. This is perfect busy work music. I'm just burning through paperwork while my ears bleed. Props to Sylosis, one of their best albums in my opinion.
I made a kindergarten nursery class hold hands and dance in a circle to track 3 'Pariahs'! 😃
Cant count how many times I've had this album on repeat.
Just in time for the gym!
Can’t get enough of this banger of an album. Superb job from superb musicians!
‘Eye for an eye’ gives me chills man it’s energy hits so hard ❤
Sounds like it's trying to be 'metal linkin park' with that chorus and overall sounds like Sylosis trying to become generic formulaic radio rock. Most of the album seems like that's what they were going for. This album is at the bottom of the list of their work for me. I'm not saying it's bad, but nowhere as good as their older stuff.
@@philseven1351 bingo! haha. See my response above. We basically have identical reactions to the new record. When I throw on a Sylosis record, I dont wanna hear clean choruses, and 'nu metal' vibes. Just feel a little tricked by Josh when he talked about making each album heavier and more brutal than the last one. He ripped on bands that go soft and all that. This album is WAY less heavy, and not nearly as good as C.o.S.
@@kliqster8 Seems like all too many bands tend to go that route the longer they exist. Listening to this was like listening to Metallica's Load album. I think people would rather be listening to Metallica's first 4 albums instead. You could make that comparison with In Flames too. They stop making the music that appealed to and created their initial fanbase. Maybe this one grows on me, but I doubt it. I'm gonna go back to listening to their old stuff and wait for another new album. Maybe the next one will be better.
@@philseven1351 In Flames is a GREAT example. Although this new Sylosis album does not quite fall into the territory In Flames is currently exploring. Their newer shit is just straight up BAD. So much so that this newest album of theirs is advertised as back to their roots. Heavy. I used to be the biggest In Flames guy. Sad what theyve become. Also, I dare so the mighty Gojira is heading down that path too. Magma was a hard left turn from what they had been doing, and Fortitude? Wow, even the production is horrid on that album. Nevermind that the songs are below average. I dunno man, maybe we (and the bands) are all just getting older. And no matter what the hype is, and what all the positive comments say - the reality is most bands dont get MORE creative and MORE heavy as they age. The metal genre will live forever, and awesome bands will keep coming along....but theres a shelf life on them all.
@@kliqster8 Seems like very few older bands are the exception to that. I think Megadeth, Overkill, and probably Cradle of Filth would be part of that exception. While they haven't always put out perfect albums 100% of the time, with a few bad to passable ones here and there, they are still releasing some really good albums. I still look forward to a new Megadeth or Overkill album, but bands like Metallica and In Flames I sort of just stop paying attention to and only listen to the first 4 or 5 albums. I'd hate to see Sylosis be put into that category. I'll always be grateful for the good ones they put out. But I would love to hear a new 'the bereaved', 'last remaining light, 'apparitions, 'reflection through fire' or 'out from below'...(and so many more). The riffs and writing on those tracks are just perfection IMO
Sylosis ...one Love...for me the greatest Band on earth🤘🏼🖤🤘🏼And today?? Celebrating the album of the year..
One hit after another. The wait is finally over. It's like a holiday for me today!!! How can you produce an album or several albums where there is not one bad song?
You are great and I love your music deeply!
With each Sylosis album it's like rediscovering what metal music actually is. Indescribable. Listened to the whole album with a silly grin on my face. What a masterpiece!
Disagree, this seems like the most generic sounding album Sylosis has put out compared to their previous work. Not bad work by any means, but sounds like it's trying to be more radio-friendly and generic for mass appeal. Seems to focus too hard on slow chorus sing-along parts, which are boring to listen to and akin to all the garbage on radio stations., for ex Eye for an eye sounds like it's trying to be metal linkin park. It all needs better more interesting rhythmic hooks and riffs to bring the energy that the previous work had.
@philseven1351 I couldn’t agree with you more, I’m glad to know that I’m not the only one that feels this way. The earlier work has been much better, and I feel as though after dormant heart they’re writing has been slipping.
same
@@aserabus I knew when I heard the first couple singles released earlier this year, that this was a 'sign of things to come' 😄 and got worried. This newer stuff just pails in comparison to their older work. This is like the equivalent of listening to Metallica's Load album, but then looking back at Justice, Puppets, and the Lightning album and saying "what happened to this band?" You could probably say the same with In Flames. Maybe the album could grow on me, but doubtful
@@aserabus love your profile pic, straight up truth!

So god damn good
Fucking amazing. Thank you guys to keep metal flame alive.
Solo in Thorns made me feel something!
Little different from what I expected defo an evolution, feels like the next step for the band. Well done lads.
Perfection. Sylosis never disappoints.

Absent is hauntingly beautiful. I love songs like it, Quiescent, and Passages from Josh. Do more please cause it's incredible is such an amazingly different way.
What a banger. Jesus.
Josh you're a f*cking beast man, I love you !
I've been listening to Sylosis since 2011 and I have no words to describe what i just listened to. I hope you guys get the recognition you deserve 🖤
🎸☄️SOUNDS INCREDIBLE BOYS☄️🎸
This is how every band should stream their album video wise damn 🤘🤘
Overall I love the album. It sounds like a collection of Josh's entire musical journey in one album.
The melody and beauty of Passages
The guitarwork of JMP
The refinement of Architects
The atmosphere of Sylosis.
Every side of Josh blended together and I'm all for it. Incredible album guys. Eagerly awaiting your return to the states to catch multiple shows
Ya'all f'in ROCK!
I've been listening to this since early morning
Fucking awesome from start to finish
You guys killed me with your last track, a godless throne... the best "clean" vocals i heard from Josh so far, and the guitar solo is just perfect.... i´ve waited so long, and you guys made my day !
thanks a lot.
a fan from germany
Joshua Middleton, you are total BEAST! You never dissapoint! Alex, Ali, Conor - great job, lads, keep it on! Amazing album!
the atmosphere of the album is so beautiful☺️🤘
Great album. The last track is my favourite, what a closure! also 'Poison For The Lost' is a killer track.
The whole album is perfect!🔥👏Good job, guys!🖤
⁰⁰0⁰⁰
Its not...far from it
I agree. First listen - I'm disappointed. Its a lot of stock, and an attempt at a mainstream sound. Too many people today say everything's "perfect", and "epic", and "a total banger. Not sure why that is. Its ok for something to be just ok, or average. God forbid. (Cant wait for the responses of 'where's YOUR new album?' Lame!) I had a bad feeling when the singles were coming out. They're pretty good songs but nothing exceptional. I still say Cycle of Suffering, 5 years after the last release, in the middle of a pandemic was the bands best record to date. Every song is awesome, production is perfect, silly hooks throughout. Guess its just hard to duplicate a great album. They're still my favorite band on the planet. Josh is a heavy metal genius. And the album is not bad ... its just not that great. Cant wait to see them live in the States in 2024 though.
Far from it......far from being perfect.
I think its poor at best....like a school report "can do better"
@@kliqster8 that's interesting, because I think Cycle is one of their weakest albums - there are a few really great songs but a lot of them just don't do it for me.
In terms of this one, not sure where it sits yet but Thorns already has the best leadwork I've heard from Josh for a while, I miss those soaring emotion filled leads that you'd hear in EotE. The singles I thought were awesome.
In terms of album order I'd prob rate them:
EotE, Dormant Heart, Monolith/Conclusion/Cycle
Like I said, not sure where this fits yet but it's prob above Cycle already.
On repeat 🤘
Since this was released I just cannot stop listening to it every. single. morning. while going to work... it just makes my days better.
*QUE ALBUM SENSACIONAL, JOSH SEMPRE IMPRESSIONANDO, CADÊ OS BR PRA OUVIR ESSA MARAVILHA??*
🖤
Aqui brother! Pancada demais esse album
Tamo aqui! 🤘
BEAUTIFOUL!
Pariahs, OMFG. Cheers from Uruguay.
you kids killed it. keep making music; it only gets better and you have so much good stuff already... thank you!
This album is just absolutely fantastic. Its got a little bit of everything that we love from Sylosis. Absent and Thorns really blew my mind...easily my two favorite songs on the album...This is album of the year right here....way to fucking go !!!!!!!!!
To this day, Sylosis never failed to deliver a masterpiece
album toooooop tooooop fire🖤🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥
new sylosis album? what a welcoming surprise
Big fan of this band
So glad to add another Sylosis album to the discography, keep it up guys!
If the next album is in this style, then your times are over!!!
Favourite band and I hear some "Empyreal" riffage in "Pariahs" at the end... YES!!!
See you soon /w malevolence on tour
Amazing🖤 Another masterpiece from Sylosis💪
Calling this album a masterpiece is an insult to their previous albums which were truly masterpieces. I'd give this album a 5/10 for effort. Parts of some songs were good, but no song as a whole really holds up. I also really dislike this generic Nu-metal radio friendly chorus sing along parts they really went hard on when writing the songs
Great album very well paced and just awesome front to back, every songs a banger, thorns is a nice throwback too, the chord progressions and melody and lead choices really remind me of edge of the earth style.
Much love Josh and co, for a banging album! And inspiring me
@@spiritinblack370 Deadwood, Poison for the lost, Judas
Eye for An Eye.
Сегодня, очередной раз прогнав его понял, что всё просто никакое. Не за тем погнались ребята
Anybody else notice that the start of the solo in Pariahs is the start of the sweep picking lesson on Josh's youtube channel!?
A Godless Throne, the whole album worth it for this only beautiful and perfect song.
still blasting this album
Excelente este nuevo disco, suena asombroso
Such a heavy and deep record; Love it! Plus the sick riffs -as usual; Middleton is an animal! \m/
Excellent as always!

Surprised with the cleans! Holy this is album is the shit!
Holy crap, Absent sounds like Machine head first part + Swallow the sun second part. Incredible recipe.
Amazing...
