I used this info to explain the value of a good website to my doctor today. He now thinks I'm some sort of wizard!
Ha great!
Just remember that the most important contribution to effective marketing is in the hands of the business itself. They need to provide real quality goods and services at competitive prices. If that is the case a website can make a big difference to boost sales. But people will never fully support a mediocre business even if they have a great website.
I just came across your channel and wanted to thank you for all of the free, high-quality content that you provide.
Your channel Is truly a godsend In a sea of shitty tech entrepreneur channels that provide next to no valuable Information and are barely disguised sales pitches for a shiny new product/course/seminar.
Thanks man - I will be back with some content real soon.
I love your channel - we share exactly the same outlook on how to command higher prices but you explain it better than I ever could.
I really love your book collections in the background. Book collection goals.
I think the same that having a website will end up saving your time. By the way I got to know where to get a good quality, unique website just for 7 $. I got the information about it on my channel if you are interested. By the way, did anyone notice a strange sound at 0:43? xD
I'm circling back to watch this video again, really great content Rob!
I rarely do comment on UA-cam, but I think you deserve a great thumbs for clarity of expression in explaining this very important subject. Thank you
Dude. Your stuff is great!! Just stumbled on you yesterday. I plan to make my way through all your videos soon.
Thanks Tom, we have been on a bit of a break but will be making a lot more consistent content starting next month.
This video was awesome. Not just value for aspiring website designers but anyone with a website. I have been focussing entirely on the website and none of the visibility or what action I want to inspire.
Thank you!
Thanks Alex - comments like this give me that motivation to make more!
Glad to have helped.
Came for the light house drawing, stayed for the video.
Hey Rob this is pure clarity you gave about how the business and marketing work, Thanks Rob for the amazing content, will join Fox Legends Program.
Great video Rob!
I really like that whiteboard setup and the overall style you did this video.
Amazing video, watched the whole thing. Definitely useful for my own business
Great video man. I was just writing out different ways a website can add value a couple days ago so this is great timing.
Thanks Joshua.
Knowing how a website can help a business makes it a lot easier to sell those services.
Glad this helped.
damn! brother, lots of respect just only for this video. Nobody nowdays puts this much value into a video. Love it!
Very very very useful information, thanks pal. It is important to understand those concepts to really help business.
This information is very valuable, thank you! So to make sure that the client will get results from my work should I ask if he has a marketing system in place for his business? To make sure that he will get results from my work? What if he doesn't have any marketing... it's ok to recommend him some resources for SEO/ advertising before we establish the sale?
The way I see it is: a business promote its products on Instagram, for example, where everything is very eye-appealing (creating visibility ) then the potential clients go to the website( functioning like a catalog with prices and other useful information) where persuasion, good copywriting convert visitors to customers. Would this be correct? Please correct me if I am wrong. Sorry for writing this much, I try to better understand these concepts. Thank you and keep up up the good work!
You're exactly right. They need to have a marketing system otherwise there will be no traffic to their website until good SEO practices kick in (if you implemented them on their website), which takes on average about one year.. Your client with no marketing system DOES NOT want to wait a year to start seeing results from the website (more deals/potential clients contacting them) - at this point they will be disappointed and consider your services an EXPENSE, not an investment. So you've got about two options here:
1) Do the research on the topic of marketing/driving traffic to a website, and write a simple guide for your client (so that they know what they're supposed to do next to get results), this guide will be another benefit for your client that you can use in the selling process, OR/AND
2) Find people who have practical experience in the field of marketing and can help your client implement the marketing strategies efficiently, and refer your clients to them in exchange for a commission. That way everyone is happy and you get a nice commission for a simple referral.
Loved this vidoe mate! One question I have is how do we communicate this to our clients. Either through social media or on call, is there a specific step or process we can follow to nail this?
Thank you so much for this. I was able to listen, take notes, and understand exactly how I can fully help a client and give good results.
Thank you a lot for this video. This is very interesting and informative. Keep posting like those amazing videos, this is awesome.
Great video - very easy to understand Thanks, Rob!
Great video, Rob. Love the style & content.
Thank you
Great videos my friend. My company will expand ten-fold. Thank you!
Youre welcome Max!
AMEN!!!!
I have a question that confused me. How can I record the results the website I designed for clients produced so it could be part of a pitch to other future potential clients?
Coming from the accounting world this really helped me cement the bigger picture of building a website that would incorporate my ideas with functionality and sales convergence in mind. I thank you sir! any recommendation on using a website for formating would be greatly appreciated ! also adept in html, php, javascript and a bit of python however have not built a website since dreamweaver times.. :)
I am currently going through playlists on your channel. You talked about marketing, sales and skillset web developer must have to help a business. Can you tell where you learned your skillset?
Thank you Rob this is really impressive
Rob, Awesome as always. Thanks for posting!
those are extra services will charge later, mean seo, ads, etc ? or just.explain them, how .can do ?
Such a fantastic video, thank you.
Thanks Chris
Thank you very much much for this valuable session 😘
Hey Rob! Just read your book. I love it. Been doing some freelance photoshop design stuff for the last year or so and thought, "I should make websites!". Read MJ DeMarco too and your books combined are like a good wine and cheese my friend. I hope all is well. I know this comment is a little bit late but in the video you say you're going to link to previous videos about getting caught up on HTML and CSS but I'm not sure I caught those? I realize this video is relatively dated in today's fast paced world so do you have any recommendations, on where to begin TODAY? Is HTML and CSS still pretty much the go-to?
So its kind of a Google ads and website design service?
Just subscribed, I like your content, keep it up Brodie !!
So what about call to action tips?
I really like the way you've explained. I have learned allot. Thank you for best information
A short question.. I would like to know about your coaching program. Is it available or all there is is the fast lane forum?
Here are some details and you can either apply or email me at rob@foxwebschool.com if you are interested:

I really liked the video, great content!
thanks a lot man this was very helpful
Awesome Rob. You nailed it again! Would this equally apply if this was my first website? I'm asking because I don't see how I would be able to help my client to get some exposure apart from the website (assuming this is also a new business and website) specifically if I don't have any SEO experience. Is there something in other of your videos or tutorials in which you'll give us a hint in what we can help our customers to get some exposure? You briefly mentioned T-shirts 👕 advertising. Would this be a good idea for instance to sponsor a local children club with sports clothing that would include the business's logo, name and URL? O what other ideas would you give away? Thank you 😊
Building a website and building an audience are two very different things. Ideally you want to find a business that is already getting visitors when you first start.
You don't want to be focusing on two different issues (bad site and/or no visitors) until you are more experienced. So I would try find someone who is already getting people visiting (maybe through advertising, or good SEO ranking, or just and in demand service) and build them a better site. Don't make it hard on yourself when you just start - work with people who are already getting views.
the "targetting" mistake was really funny lol
Please how can I get a free website template 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
that's what i needed. Nice video! :)
Great video covered the topic really well.
James Persson thanks James, I think the whiteboard format helps a little to make it simpler.
Agreed it's all there to read and digest as you follow along.
Great information thanks a lot keep making videos like this, great tips
I would have pay for this video, really.
Great video and info, thanks :) I would recommend keeping the list answers, especially examples, to 2-3 items, unless absolutely necessary. You're still conveying the same exact message, it just takes longer and it's somewhat over and over again.
Keep grinding, subbed :)
haha, love the books pillars
Do you design websites???
This is fucking gold, THANK YOU
Thanks for the feedback Tamara :)
Thank YOU! I've been struggling lately with how websites/graphic design REALLLLLY help businesses, and it seems like no one out there was really addressing how important it is to provide VALUE to the client if you want to demand more and really create a business. So this was great! Been watching a lot of your content, found you on Reddit, still not that clear on your exact sales process, and how you went from kind of cold emailing/calling to sealing the deal with those clients. Could you share more about that, or if you already have, link where? Thanks!!
Good question - I use a lot of great questions to open a client up and see where I can add the most value (or where they have the most frustration right now). Next I look into what solution would be best for that and would give them the best ROI.
Ill try do a full video on this soon but some of my other videos cover different parts.
Thanks! Yeah some of your videos cover parts of it. I am not totally brand new to web design, just totally new to the concept of high ticket web design AND finding leads for this kind of work. I TOTALLY resonate with what you said about putting up a site and it was for the total wrong client, who had NO other marketing and no real business....so they get zero results. I also have some sites that I've done that got GREAT results.....because the owner of the business had other marketing already, or we did other marketing together. So, it started to dawn on me that working with certain clients allows me to provide more value for the same skills, automatically. No one ever talks about this, you're the first I've found. I guess my biggest struggle now, is finding and opening a conversation up with these kinds of people, you found cold emails/calls to work when you were starting until some time passed and you got more referrals?
Great. It depends on the business but yes sometimes cold emails or calls. A lot of the time though I look for possible "warm" businesses who might be more open to talking. Either in the same niche, or location, or network that I can contact with some trust already (from my past jobs).

Great video. I would recommend Udimi for cheap high quality traffic.
Thankyou very much for this video
Great books by the way!
is this business still gonna work in 2023? so-called selling websites?
do people still use the term web designers... I believe ui designer and web developer are two different things
OK smart ass
10/10
