My father at that time was a resident at rhotak road,delhi.... my father and dadi told me the area was patrolled every day and night in shifts by men of the colony....I still have that sword in my home which my father use to carry while patrolling the colony to safeguard it from the mobs...... few of the sikhs brothers had to cut there hair to protect there life....few were hidden homes of hindus. It's not the hindus who were against sikhs.. It was the congress party and there chamchas who did this massacre..... specially Mr suri is absolutely correct police was unwilling to help though the killings were done in front of there eyes

Such a shameful and coward act by congress. I feel so proud that I belongs to Punjab and in Punjab Hindu, Sikhs, Muslim and christian lives with brotherhood. Punjabi's do not allow outsider parties like shivsena to impose their absurd rules in Punjab. Being a Hindu I will always stand for my Sikh brothers. There is no any religion bigger than humanity.

I was then posted at Patna and hiding in an influential family with my wife and one year old son. I was also watching DD tv. Khoon Ka Badla Khoon was going on TV for three days till funeral of Indira Gandhi was over !. After that public meeting was going on and Rajiv Gandhi spoke there, WHEN BIG TREE FALLS EARTH SHAKES ! At that time Mohinder Singh Sathi ( a Sikh) was Mayor of Delhi, when he got up to speak public hooted him down and did not allow him to speak ! Rajiv was watching but he did not intervened ! Earlier when he had arrived at Delhi airport, then he was MP only and not PM, had told his Congress youth workers, JALLA DO HARAMJADON KO !

I was 24 than. The military should have come out on the streets, which came 3 days late. First time in Inderpuri, Delhi, tanks, soldiers with arms on roads. Only than the rioting stopped. I myself along with some friends saved a house from burning. It is sure that goonda elements from JJ colonies or villages did the damage. Very sorry it happened. My best friend has been Jatt Sikh from school days.
