I have livescoped jigs for several years now, never tried minnows, but looks like I need to. I see lots of crappie on my scope that are on or around the bottom like that, that I have a hard time to get them to bite, I call it a nervous bottom, lots of folks don’t know nothing about that with the old lowrance flashers and spoon jigging. Nice video.😊
Great video. I really enjoy you minnow fishing for crappie. Also enjoyed your fall shad fishing for bass last year. While I do use a lot of artificial baits minnows are just a simple and enjoyable way to fish. Reminds me of my childhood days with my dad.
Love the videos bud! Wish the black crappie on the coosa river bit as well as they do wherever you are fishing! They are hard headed from June-September here but that will change in October 🎣🎣
I like using the same, also sometimes with a slip float so I can cast out there and let the minnow do it's thing. Also hook in top of back sometimes. And much of the time I use a bare jig hook, no weight on the jig hook, usually size 4 or 6.
Been tring your trout magnet a lot here lately, without success. Then I would try the old trusty Bobby garland jigs and start catching them. Is there something I am doing wrong here, or is just my region is not as good with trout magnets?😊
@@dannylang7971 are you predominantly fishing for black crappie or white crappie? I’ve noticed the trout magnet is deadly on black crappie. They love a small bait. Also what head are you throwing?
@@BrandonLesterFishing You were using a beautiful blue fishing stick on one of your videos that I asked about a while back but never got a response from you. I thought it was a secret.

Nice video hard to get used to long poling that’s why they used to do it with Cane polls years ago
@@billkennedy414 yes they did. Simple but effective. Thanks for watching!
Fun video. What do you add to your minnow bucket water? Do you use a special product to increase minnow life?
@@maxratio that’s the water that they put in the bucket at the store, but I use G-juice and it works pretty well to keep bait alive

Brandon you need a crappie fishing partner and I’ll be happy to volunteer
i use a 16 ft rod i like to stay away from the brush and fish so they don't spook as easy !
