Great review Max. I personally prefer the painted cladding look. I am still a little shocked at how expensive this is. I would personally go AMG E43 Estate over this and sacrifice the soft off roading. hate the shiny black plastic looking screen surrounds and trim bits in new Audi.
Just to let you know, there used to be many models of wagons in North America from Buick, GM, Chrysler, Honda Accord, Toyota Camry and Corolla, Volvo, Jaguar, VW and Mitsubishi in the 80s and 90s and before the 80s. The Pathfinder, 4Runner Jeep Cherokee and Ford Explore killed them in the 1990s.
Really!! Body roll dive on braking? Did you not try it in dynamic mode, the allroad not only has variable ride height but also variable damping for each of its drive modes.
Nice review. Actually in NA you are lucky as you get the nice V6 petrol turbo engine. Over here in Europe only those nasty diesels are available.. Which doesn't really fit this kind of sofisticated car. By the way, the original Allroad in was available in Europe with both the V6 turbo as well as the 4.2 V8. Unfortunately, those days of choice are over...
@@anthonyfarnan5935 They are economical and as clean, I grant you that much. But by the time you hit 3,500 revs, it's all over. Then the petrol V6 will go on another 3,000 revs with ease..
Yeah, I agree with you about the front end--and with Christopher Calder below. I think what's going on design-wise is that Audi is trying to take your eye away from all the sensors and stuff with those vertical chrome elements, and it doesn't work very well at all. Not sure what the solution should be from a design standpoint, but this isn't it. But having taken delivery of one of these last month, that's pretty much the only problem I have with it. I think it's otherwise beautiful and a satisfyingly excellent car in almost every way. Which I guess it ought to be at the price, but I don't regret buying it at all. It's a joy to drive and to be in, and I thought this review was very accurate and well done.
I think the 2012 Audi A6 looked much better than the 2020 Audi A6 and its wagon variant. Audi has made the grill way to big and added a lot of junk to the formerly clean design, basically, I believe, because they ran out of ideas. If you have no new ideas, then just paste on junk from the old junk bin. Take away the junk and you may have a clean and elegant design.
The most direct competitor to this A6 allroad would be the Volvo V90 CC. Out of the two, which would you choose to own? You can watch that review here: ua-cam.com/video/e20akzSDoLc/v-deo.html
I care for wagons. Long live station wagons
Just recently found your channel. You do fantastic reviews!
Thanks! Hope to see around in the comments of future vids!
Just drove my '20 CPO home from the dealer. 35.5 mpg on the highway on a 200+ mile trip, and as fast as my '93 NSX 0-60. Love it!
Congrats! How much did you snag yours for?
@@christophersparkman - $60k. Not cheap, but still under full warranty for 3.5 years and another 85k miles
@@dirkneumann3324 that's a great deal! I can't find anything that good here in the Atlanta area.
@@dirkneumann3324 have you had any issues or concerns with your car yet? It’s hard to find actual owners here to ask even in San Francisco.
@@jimtyler1181 - zero issues. Had my 20k service which was covered under the CPO warranty, and no issues.
Grew up with a station wagon. If things go my way, I’ll be turning my A6 into an A6 all road.

Blake Swan simply the car isn’t for your needs 🤷🏽♂️
My dad has it. Its a great car

They used to offer only the most expensive interior levels in the older allroads, which means that even the fabric ones will last a lifetime.
great video and review!! nice location too!
I love it. I’d do full body paint and change out the grill with the one that’s on the sedan...and throw on some different rims. 🤣

Makes Subaru look like Childs play.
Beautiful car

Idk about the rest of Europe but the petrol TFSI version is available in the UK.
@@MonstaMunch101 yeah, becos UK no longer part of the EU. Lucky!
“Nasty diesels” ?? They’re just as clean as petrol motors these days. Plus the fuel economy is next level. Especially for a large car like this.

Nice how tall are you?
The sensors in the front grille might as well be painted bright yellow, being that the designer did such an OBVIOUS job of hiding them. 😂😂

Sadly, Bmw and Merc also have this issue.

For me, definitely the Audi.
Coughs Mercedes-Benz E450 All Terrain :) that new straight six is 🔥
I’d pick the Volvo any day of the week but Audi did a great job on styling for the new Allroad and I’m impressed they took a risk in bringing it back
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Fantastic car until it starts to fall apart at 160k km
$70K for this is INSANE. It's going to flop. Again.
It fucking ought to? It's 80K?
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🙏
Bla bla plastic cladding.
ALL Suv s are UGLY !! Most beautiful car , the A6 station wagon !
they are not
Body cladding? Have you heard about Quattro?
Plastic bla bla bla. How can you be a car journalist?!?!
