Connex, Gatwick Express and Eurostar at Sydenham Hill, Kent House and Herne Hill 2003-2004
A mixed bag of traction from South East London.
Connex South East seen at Sydenham Hill and Kent House.
Connex South Central & Gatwick Express seen on diversion over the Christmas period at Herne Hill.
Eurostar still on the third rail.
From the Archives Series is a collection of films taken between 2003 to the present day. Originally intended for use in our A&J Video productions, they were left on the shelf until now.
Filmed on a Sony MiniDV camcorder. If you like what you see then let us know in the comments and please like, share and Subscribe.

amazing how slow the eurostars look despite going at line speed
So much more variation back then
I love it could do one's around Redhill east Croydon Purley and Gatwick Airport
You have mastered everything Anthony how UA-cam work now it’s just a Audience growth you need
Why was he Class 465 passing Kent House? They normally stop here I thought it's only normally the Class 365s and Class 423s that passes Kent House
Honestly making 465/9s 90mph capable would have been such a good fast suburban fast/semi fast add on. I think that was an part of the plan before but I'm not sure.
Nice old Footage Herne Hill Station in 03 era.
It shows how different things were back then, they diverted GatEx and Brighton Mainline stuff through Herne Hill because part of the mainline was shut. Compare that to now when this weekend East Croydon to Victoria is shut, the Southern are diverted to London Bridge but there's no GatEx services at all. How times have changed in nearly 20 years. Things were better (in my opinion) back then.
What!! Wow fast 465s used to pass Kent House.. eurostars and 460s too!!
It was a long time ago.
@@BPMR wish it would happen again , apparently it was when 377/5s were assigned the ashford diagrams. Is this true ?
9:09 who saw that fire

Why did the Class 423 stop at Sydenham Hill?
It may have been checked down by a signal. I can't remember as it was filmed many years ago
Can I get head cold blind?
