Great effort!🔥🔥 It is actually more than enough for 60% of people. All eyes to tiago electric,if it can deliver 200km practical range in city,it can be the transition car from petrol to ev.
Ah! the duo are back. Couple of things that I appreciate, running it with AC on, using infotainment system and also headlight (55w halogens I assume, good they didn't go for LEDs), very typical running of a car. If the EV Max can do this, its gold!(no not a new edition) I drove it just few days ago (first time driving an electric 4 wheeler) and was impressed! And I didn't even try the sport mode. Nexon has always been a good vehicle and aside from high floor due to batteries, I really couldn't find something I did not like about the EV max. The only issue is the EV prices as of now. At 21+L on road here in mysore, its out of the league of many people and knowing its one of the more affordable EVs only makes it hard. But for those who can afford, it makes for a good buy. One question though, how low (and how often) can you go on the battery before damaging its integrity of the cells ( in terms of charge retention)?
Good that you didn't try sports mode, because with such tall bodies and hurtling down the road with great acceleration is quite a handful. They need to improve the handling of Nexon if they need users to use sports mode. But heck, this is an SUV, why should they 😐 worry about handling at all.
@@nagki i drive the WRV, so the Nexon didn't feel wallowy as such. Handling i felt was good enough, but yes, i get your point. May be the next gen EVs from Tata will handle better due to them being ground up EVs
Currently there are enough chargers in Western, North Western and Southern part of India where these city labelled cars can easily top up till 80% and continue the journey. EVs are no longer city restricted cars.
Nexon max need 54kwh battery pack to get 400km per charge on highway+ 80% charge in 30 minutes And prize under 25lakh that is amazing One day tata must do
Great effort! 133 wh/km average consumption. I think the regen setting while climbing the hill and on the highways should not be "3" IMHO, should be 1 or off if you can predict the traffic. But 250-300 is what it seems like Max can deliver.
Great video again ZigWheels. Just one thing will change with this car range is the climate. If you make the same drive in hot summer, the AC will pull lot of power to keep the temp. constant and the range will decrease a bit...!!
I am following zig wheels from long back, the videos come here are really intresting day by day, the series of video about drive to death really awsome , i liked a lot, its really intresting to checkout the fuel efficiency , i regularly check my car for fuel efficiency on daily basis, i am really connected to the video about the milage, need more videos of drive to death with different cars and different transmissions, and we really appreciate your effort to make the videos and driving until they get empty
Reminds me of my trip from mumbai to Pune and back in Tata nexon ev. Where climbing Lonavala took away the most charge and didn’t know there is a charger in Lonavala so after reaching Pune has to struggle to find a charger where we reached one with 5% charge
Amazing video, super!!! Can't imagine the effort you guys put in for this video... Really great!! How much is the charging time with the home charger that comes with the car 🚗?
my EV PRIME gives solid range except for summers, like it shows me around 300kms on full charge without AC and 270 with AC. and in real world i get 250ish range. also i did a 205 km(including highway) trip with 6 persons in the car with atleast 20 kms remaining.(AC on off on the remaining 40perc of the trip).
Uhmm disappointied by the Tata Nexon EV Max. They should learn from Ather. Still, I love driving Nexon, and it is indeed true vfm in the current scenario. Loved the video.
@Naveen Balineni My point is also the same. But disappointed by what ARAI claims. 437 and 290 to 300, it's like the sky and ground difference. Almost 120! But still, no one is even better than that. They just need to be more optimistic in terms of claims and all. Just like Ather. I use Ather, and I blindly trust it. No matter where I drive, hill, rough, plain.. if it is showing 50km then it is so accurate that you can blindly trust it even with a pillion with you and it will give more than 50km I bet on it.
Comparing apples and oranges here. Ather has a ARAI range of 146km and delivers around 105. It's not Tata's fault that the Indian driving cycle is shit. Anyway, neither Ather nor Nexon are vehicles that can be used for longer distances.
Basic primary school math... 1 is not= 0. I'm pissed off with every you tube channel/reviewer claiming to drain the EV to empty and not actually reaching true 0 in their review. How difficult is it to have a tow truck behind you for the last 20 odd kms & actually drain the battery to true 0 (or atleast until the car refuses to move any further)??? I always wanted to see if TATA/MG/HYUNDAI etc have a secret charge capacity hidden inside which unlocks at 0 percent to give you an extra 10 or so kms... But looks like I'll have to do it myself once i buy an EV cause rest of them seem to be pussies...
Problem is you won’t enjoy anything You will be conscious as hell even if you’re going 100kms with full charge So let’s die with diesel engines with no airbags like a real man
#ZigWheels Great Real World Pratical Test, with Healthy dash of Entertainment 👌 👍 Would Cruise Control help increase Range in City and Specially Highways 🤔 Your Valuable Thoughts Please 🙏

They've recreated the traffic they wanted to escape 🤣🤣🤣🤣 True man
It's really the punch line 😁
But in a different place though 😅

Great Job. Excellent , authentic, to the point... Awaiting similar from team Zigwheels for Toyota Camry & Toyota - Innova- Strong HYbrid.
Loved it...
❤️ Nailed it just like your previous video of City Vs Vitrus
Precise,to the point as always

Nice.... With the hill drive around 300 seems ok....
That is impressive...Considering hill climb takes 3-4 times more energy than normal drivings.
Wow nice concept, now do it for all EV.
They've already done it for all EVs below ₹20 lakh.
It's expected that people who buy an EV worth ₹30+ lakh will already have a second car.

Hey, you forget to mention few points. AFter 5% of battery, it will open the charging lid, unlock all the doors. :)
Good job guys 👍
You guys are funny! Especially Big Torquer!
Try to do with 4 people so that seating capacity load also be measured in distance actually covered in full charge
Amazing video, super!!! Can't imagine the effort you guys put in for this video... Really great!!
How much is the charging time with the home charger that comes with the car 🚗?
@Tushar Kamath thank you 🙏🙂
15hrs
Just now I disconnected my charger and came
Never knew I’ll laugh so much In a car review video. Very well made! And thanks for all the inputs too
How many checked their battery percentage??
I dun know about the car but ,u guys are jolly...❤️😁

Tata is the best

also i did a 205 km(including highway) trip with 6 persons in the car with atleast 20 kms remaining.(AC on off on the remaining 40perc of the trip).
Whats the average speed?
will the range drop considerably after 4-5 yrs of use?
Depends on the charging cycles and kind of running the car goes through. It will drop but it’s difficult to quantify by exactly how much
So witty.. Liked the video very much .. Superb..
Uhmm disappointied by the Tata Nexon EV Max. They should learn from Ather. Still, I love driving Nexon, and it is indeed true vfm in the current scenario. Loved the video.
Practically, 300 kms is a good range from a 20 lac Compact SUV in the current scenario

Oops, my comment had a heart from zig. But after I edited on the typo, I lost that. Lol. I didn't know such things happen here.

@@leokartikrajkumar9109 Ather Gen 3 claims 146 Kms i believe bt real life is 110 n ARAI figure is not decided by TATA
Simply so good
Lets conduct the same test on same car very year to see how the range drops
Based on current situation how much range will upcoming tiago ev have ? I think 200 kms would be decent for 24 kWh model.
You have not drained the battery. Still 1% left. Please make it 0 and show us what's next? Like how do charge etc
How do they claim 456?
Thanku extremely useful for users
Also Mention speed in different condition you driven
Hii @ZigWheels ..Just wanted to know whether there is any chance of tata nexon facelift in the coming months??
There may be some model year updates, not necessarily a facelift

We have dropped to absolute 0 with the Tigor EV here: ua-cam.com/video/DYaQqlJoAmk/v-deo.html
There is no “secret charge”
Kasau vangida thaan entha advertising pannuraa??
In the thumbnail picture is the car is nexon or altok10 😆😆 its look like hatchback car
This can easily go upto 340-350 we you drive little carefully with good use of regen.

What's the name of ur shoes bro?
The car colour becoming dark black in the night, blue to black

Good
WLTP is pure exaggeration
With 400+ km range, I'll expect like 350 km real life range at least...
Yes, even with more range friendly conditions (say city only) there is still going to be a notable gap vs ARAI
love you bro
Love you too bro!
