Hey Jon, I own and have operated a Shearex HM-70SR mulcher since DEC 2022 paired to a ASV 135F out of Springfield, GA. You actually inspired me to start my business. I can honestly say that I have had ZER0 problems with the head. I purchased it from a friend who’s owned every head over the past 30 years and says this is superior in quality to any head he’s owned. I have to agree with him. I have however, changed to the screw type hydraulic connectors for added security and longevity of the hydraulic couplings and only adds a few minutes to change the head. The sanding discs provided are Cubitron ceramic coated discs and cut into the metal extremely well reducing heat, allowing you to sand quicker without changing the metal hardness of the teeth increasing their longevity. I acquired close to 150hrs on my last set of teeth. Which I just changed. Would love to connect. God, keep on blessing Jon’s Fam. -Robyn
I bought a Shearex a few months ago and absolutely love it! I wish I could have gotten the trap door but dealer kept telling me there was a 6 week lead time.
Appears to be a positive first run with the head...have them ship one of the excavator mounted heads and take that for a test drive on the 210! We have had a tremendous amount of success with that style of set up.
I AM SUPER EXCITED AND HAPPY FOR YOU JOHN AND I WILL CONTINUE TO PRAY 🙏 FOR GOD TO BLESS YOU EVERYDAY,,MAY HE GRANT YOU WITH ALL YOUR DREAMS AND NEEDS AND DESIRES,,,,BLESS YOU AND FAMILY,,,,
@@TheOMEGANOX I bought the 60 to better match the GPM flow for my 770. At this point, I feel the 770 is on the low side of the GPM/HP spectrum for the work that I do. I’d like to have another 10+hp/GPM, in my rookie opinion, I think this would allow me to work the machine a little less and the mulcher would be a bit more efficient. I have seen a video that has a 770 matched to the HM-70SR, but it was mulching small pines.
A new Supplement, the Shearer Mulcher to the Foresty RT 120. I gladden My this Machine by the Work to see. And of Your Judgements. What I see to bring about by the first Work stage a good Result. But You the Mulch Master and Your Declaration have Worth.
It looked very good a taking those trees down. So if the build is robust and you have good parts support because things do break when doing hard work stuff happens. Looking forward to seeing how things go.
You can get the head to run hydraulically instead of electronically. It’s not hard to run the hyd lines. I had it done on both the excavator and Lamtrac
I’ve used the sanding disks and they cut great and to me they last longer than the tiger disks if you get part that attaches them to the DeWalt angle grinder they sent you! I was hoping you bought a mulcher for your mini excavator like Davin has since you did those just with low hanging branches! That’s what I thought you had today but it’s cool Jon, I just hate seeing you wearing yourself out with the pole saw! Let’s do it brother!
It looks like a few of the Denis Cimaf regulars didnt make the switch to the rayco side. Looks like a Cimaf except the drive is reversed and the depth rings are doubled up. The angle gauge looks all too familiar as well as the sanding discs, backing plate, and socket. The way the door opens and closes electrically is another dead give away.
Hey Jon, That new mulching head is fairly good, but the hinge door looks like it's not working quite right. Do you think this head will work out for you? It seems pretty efficient so far. The black color goes well with the skid. 😅 Catch ya next time kiddo. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
What do you mean *TODAY* ? ALL your videos are great! You'll have to be the JUDGE on how this one compares to/with your FECON. We can only watch. Seems you went a little quicker with this one. I recall over the years YOU nursing a couple other channels in using 1 of these (ELITE EARTHWORKS & maybe DIRT BOSS several years ago!)
Looks like that head is tearing it up. The FAE/CAT gate works the same way, you get used to it but it would be nice to open and close when the drum wasn't rotating.
The mulched wood looks to be smaller and finer. But, that could be due to new and very sharp teeth, more teeth and/or teeth are closer together. It was hard seeing with everything being painted black. The ShearX does sound different compared to the Fecon. Looking forward to see it put to work on a real job!
What brush? 🤗 That cutting head is really impressive, looks like it can handle whatever you throw at it.👍🤗 And good on you for introducing yourself and asking the question, as my dear old mum would say, if you don't ask you don't get! 😎
I picked up on a reference to Mario and Denis Cimaf. I know DC sold to Mobark. Is the shearex a new unit from Mario? I run a 2018 DC 180d and can't imagine anything better. Looking forward to more videos and info.
Jon, you stinker, you had this awesome machine for 2weeks?? Ok. I need to go back to one of your older videos using the Falcon, but. This new head seems to be stronger in the cutting /grinding power, BUT seems to me to be pushing out from the front, where I think the Falcon pushed out everything you cut and ground from the back, didn't it?? Though this head is faster, and cuts cleaner. Interesting on how well it does on a job..
Seems to have less recovery time and stays in load very well. I don't know if its because it has all new blades but its getting more done with less passes. I hope this is a game changer.
it looks like too me that the cutter drum is smaller than your other one. if so it could be in your favor because I think it would turn faster making it cut faster. the chips looked smaller as well so fewer back drags. I don't know, just my observation. may be totally wrong. hope it all works out great for you. now we need to test it out on a job.
Shearex seems to be a spin off of Denis Cimaf. Love the Cimaf heads, too bad they are affiliated with Rayco. Like the bolt in liners, would love to move away from my Fecon for that reason and get it set up for my Prentice 2670. I'm guessing the head I'd need is around $75k . Having owned other equipment from Canada I find their Frenchish accent a bit hard to follow when speaking on the phone.
@@UpstateBrushControl No. Not really. He said they didn't have any more free demos to give me and I would have to pay full price because he knows your videos hurt my feelings so I couldn't even qualify for the 5% discount.
I will be interested to hear how it performs over the long term. Not a big fan of the belt drive mulchers. I run a Mastodon M60 which has direct drive. Downside is motor is sticks out ~12" on left side, but lower maintenance and great cycle time.

Thank you for your honest review on our mulcher! We look forward to your continued success Robyn! We know you'll grow quickly!
I don’t think I heard it slow down once in that test run. That machine is insane and I hope we get to see a lot more of it!
Awesome as always
New sponsorship and demo mulcher head - seems to be a great idea Jon. Mulcher did good work easy when you tried it out.
Just got mine last week! They are suppose to be coming to tune in the next few days. Can't wait to try it out.
Hope you enjoy it!
We cant wait to hear your review and see it in action! Make sure to tag us so we can share/showcase your business!
How’s it working out and what machine do you have it on?
We will be running it on a cat 299d3. Still have not ran it yet. Hopefully soon!
The new head eats stuff pretty fast and clean. It's brand new. Time will tell how well it will work. Keep up the great content!!
Thank you!
I bought a Shearex a few months ago and absolutely love it! I wish I could have gotten the trap door but dealer kept telling me there was a 6 week lead time.
I also had Mario and the newer Tech come tune my machine! They did a great job and have been helpful with any questions I’ve had since!
That's awesome! Glad to hear it!
Amazing to hear! Looking forward to seeing it in action Nick!
Incredible wood heater!!! Insane.
Really impressed with that unit,it didn't even try to stall when you crowded it...........and you did crowd it!LOL!
Good luck with the new product and I’m happy for you for the new sponsorship
Thank you!
Very happy for you John.. God bless you Sir..
Thanks!

Man that thing is hungry and can eat up some brush

I’ve been running my 60 on a T770 for a little over a year now. No complaints with the head. I’ve had good support from Shearex and ROWMEC.
We're happy to hear!
Do you think the 60 is a better match for the T770?

I have serial number 2 of the hm70 and I have to say I love my shearex. Dude shreds. I have 500+ knives for that thing.
As a lady of leisure retired too..I'm impressed with the machine so far ,here's to much more of the test subject..
Awesome video thanks John , very informative 🚜🚜🚜
Glad you enjoyed it
John That Works Good
That thing is a beast! Much faster than your other chopper. It pulls things in I noticed.
I don't know if it's because it's new, but it looks like it chops finer than the other one. God's Blessing you.

Oh my, this is very impressive. Should make things easier and faster.
Nice !!👍❤
Looking forward to Chapter II,
Looks like another good choice in mulchers. Seem to handle work load today.
Love it man.
Glad to hear it!
Competition for the Bullhog! We'll see!
Looks like it does a great job.

A good looking piece of equipment `but time will tell. Good luck and God Bless John and Jodie.
That is bad ass. No slowing down.
It eats good so far.
I would LOVE to see you bring the original band back buddy. Congrats on the sponsorship, you deserve it!
Nice. Machine looks like it would work great laying a fence row 😊
Good one Jon
Great demo seams to do a great cutting job

I have a Shearex VM-35SK I run on my Cat 310 and I love it. I’d only sell it to get a bigger one for a larger excavator.
❤❤❤
Congratulations! You still got to get a little munchie for the excavator then you will be on top of you game. I like attachments.
Wow. Remarkable how quickly a mulcher works. I'm going to assume the teeth stay sharp for a long time.
that new cutter seems to be a monster of a cutter
this is fun to watch

Howdy upstate
They hooked you up . 👍🏻
Right into Waterloo.
Mud. Blood. Spit. And tears.
You didn't hold back as well!
Too soon. But seems to be retaining momentum/cutter speed well.
That new head doesn’t take any prisoners does it !! Seems to cut the material quicker and into smaller pieces ? Heavier than the old one ?

Marketing script or tree killer!
