I had to re-upload this video after finding out that there was an audio problem with the second half of it on the previous upload.
Ha I just did this, ran out to Walmart and got that same kit after seeing this video so far so good on a 21inch dual sport front tube
Your hole was exactly where mine was so I appreciate your video it was very helpful!
Very helpful video. No instructions on or in the can which it should have some for people who don't have access to you tube.Thank you so much
I find it funny how we both keep a bag on our bikes full of tools for emergency procedures. It's becoming my recommended thing for people who rides any kind of bike, keep a bag with a few basic bare necessities in case you have any problems while on your commute.
I thought people knew this before they even started riding lol. I don’t know one guy who rides without a tool bag
I didn’t find it funny and I have a tool bag on my bike
@@cdula26 Iv'e seen many people ride without a tool bag and Some of these individuals are probably getting their feet wet or just don't bike on the regular. And some are just unprepared, a pop can happen at any time, I've been in situations when I went through like 3 tubes in a day.
I’m 27 & just learning how to do this correctly 😢❤️bless you. I’ve been burning that piece of rubber on the hole😢😂
Dose. This work well. 😂 pitbike one need it doing
I like these patches better than the Orange ring one. As a kid i dont remembered letting it dry before attaching the patch lol i remembered putting the patch on and just pressing it down for mins than top it off with more rubber cement then light it on fire for 30sec. LMAO
Good video but he made two mistakes. Proper way to patch is scuff an area larger than the patch and to round the corners of the patch before putting it on as a patch can lift from corners.
Yeah - about an hour ago I cut the corners off the square patch ... before watching this vid or reading your comment, so, yeah. good idea!
Thank you, had no clue because I could not find instructions on the package. 👍👍
This beats carrying carrying around extra tubes
Damn posted so long ago and here I am, my first bike with a tube tire and struggling my ass off to get it to stop leaking. Patched it twice already and looks fine until it goes into the wheel and leaks at the same spot again. I'm guessing something it puncturing the tube on the inside of the rim but can't find anything. Feels all normal.
Check the inner surface of the tire. I've seen wires etc poke through and puncture tubes
@@SoDamnFew alright. I'll give a shot and hopefully find something cause damn this can be a headache.
good video , ur bike should be in mad max.lol...anyway, can you fix tube tire while the wheel is still on the bike, by taking the punctured section side of the tube out ? I heard its possible.
BreaK it down barney style lol were you military? I havnt heard that in forever
I always have problems with leaking around the patch. I keep getting different opinions on whether the blue or the clear cover, is the side that goes toward the tube. I always do the blue, but wonder if I might be doing it wrong.
You put the glue down then peel the plastic off the patch. Shouldn't matter what color. Then you put the sticky side of the patch down on to the glue. Then squeeze or put something a bit heavy on the patch and let it dry thoroughly. After you let it dry. Pump a little air in it to test it out. After that you should be good.
U put the blue side down... after u put the glue on let it dry. Don't use to much glue
I have no idea as the only instructions I see are to not ingest the glue and what to do if you do ingest it, then again in Spanish.
Really fucking annoying.
If I had to guess, I'd say the blue up since we are supposed to rough up the tube and the blue side is smooth, which could help keep friction from weakening the patch.
@@TheFreshPeddler On the package it has instructions but not on the product. Dumb AF! Also doesn’t tell you to let it glue get tacky before applying patch.. retards
The instructions did not say to let the rubber cement dry before applying the patch. I let it dry before applying the patch and it did not work for me.
Firme video ese
nice! did you ever have any problems with patched tubes?
I can't really speak on rear tubes, but I've put over 500 miles on the front tube in this video since then without any issues
Who else expected him to pull a bong out of his tool bag?
It’s pretty gay the instructions don’t say let the rubber cement setup and get tacky before applying the patch.. Hopefully it holds up as I applied the patch before it got tacky.
Did it work?
Why do people always circle the hole. That grease pen prevents the patch from sticking as well.
JustSomeGuy mostly because I'm too dumb to remember where it is or if there's more than one.
But that wasn't a grease pen, it's a tire marker; it came off during the scuffing.
A real tire man circles the hole with chalk. I have never seen anyone put rubber cement on top of a patch, and I’ve seen and patched a few in my 15 years of trucking.
@@dmc31405 Agree if punch leaks air top rubber cement wont stop it.
So much rubber cement!?
Patch don’t stick. I let the Rubber cement dry
Where can l find this product
amzn.to/3IifKdG
5 bucks on amazon
I bought mine (same Slime brand) at Walmart.
New way is install 1/2 aired up tube inside the new tire and use zip ties: CANT punture new tube this way ! TUBES suk.. Tubeless rims is best way to go!
i too did that by mistake
Gotta love how there is absolutely no instructions except for what to do if your dumb ass ingests or inhales the glue...and then again in Spanish.
I shouldn't have to search for this ffs and tbh, the packaging should try to entice the stupid to consume it.
