And now they are nearly as fast as a pickup.
At some point, common sense flew out the window in these movies. Dinosaurs are reptiles. They don't do well in cold weather. Yet they're in snowy woods and swimming in ice cold water. Owen is bonded with Blue and trains her and the others. Now they're doing a chase scene. They segwayed into Dino Fast and Furious.

I was wondering why they could keep up with the dirt bike. But he could come to complete stops at intersections and take off before the raptors already running full speed couldn't close a 7ft gap and get him.
Respect to the man on the scooter who absolutely refused to acknowledge two enormous dinosaurs until they were right on top of him. RIP in peace bud.

@@jamesduffy7549 the main issue is that he is riding away from a place of safety(the building). Most people would have attempted to go in the building and bunkering down inside a small locked room(where the big dinos can't get inside).
If the guy really wanted to go somewhere else, did he really need to go right down the middle, out in the open? 😆
That, and everyone else in that scene was already mid scramble to escape. He genuinely seemed surprised there was a large and very loud dino behind him. It's like that scene from Life of Pi where a tiger just eats a meerkat Infront of the other meerkats, and it did nothing to escape.

I'm kinda amazed at how much worse the special effects are than the original movie that came out 30 years ago. When I saw the thumbnail I thought it was some art student's school project because of how unprofessional it looks. Nope, it's the actual movie.

I think their training is not perfect, they are angry, see different targets, they sometimes try to bite, but still follow the scent of their actual target. I actually like it. They are animals after all, they are not perfect soldiers.

This movie franchise has really gone down hill after the 2nd jurassic park movie in the early 2000's. It's almost all CGI with these last 3 recent movies not to mention there is little to no blood in any if them!!! Please bring back the blood and people getting eaten by dinosaurs!!!

When i first watched it in the theatres, i was like ok...even tho im also a fan of chris pratt. And just like you, I am a fan of JP, and i re-watch the first jurassic park...ALL THE TIME...and i re-watch jurassic world...and it just doesn't fit for me...Like i get it, even the dinours in JP aren't real dinosours but at least the perception of them were real at the time and even now..but Jurassic world, they aren't even real dinosaurs in concept, and so then what makes this any different than a flashy monster movie? Nothing. There is nothing different about it, its just a monster movie.
Second and most important, whats with all the CGI? the CGI is garbage, how am i supposed to re-watch the same show as a JP fan if the cgi isn't good? JP3 CGI seemed better to me, its like they try to hard with this new CGI, and theres way too much of it, nothing is left up to the imagination. The animatronics they use are only for like small dino's. Like i said before its not like i set out to hate JW, but the more i rewatch JW 1, the more i saw issues and began to realize why i didn't like it. I grew up in the 90's so im used to a lot of CGI, but i know when to say its too much. I think this is partly why people like trailers, because it doesn't show the whole story or picture and people are curious, and it was the same with JP it didnt flesh out everything which made people curious, but now that in JW we see every angle, everything can be told with lazy CGI instead of going through the trouble making large animatronics at key points, and even leaving some parts up to the viewer, its become lame and old. Thats my theory, but like i said if we're fans, we need to up our standards
This is one of the best scenes in the movie.
Funny how raptors always get closer and closer (even at speed 70 km/h, no comment), but then cut and they are then 20 meters aways from the car/motorcycle.

That is my main complaint of this scene.
As much as try to defend this movie, this scene is pretty inexcusable. I'd assume he was deaf, but he would have still felt their vibrations and stompings.

I get unbelievable things are supposed to happen, but their top speeds are sprints, not marathons. Also, all those people that the dino's passed? Yeah, they'd have peeled off Owen early and gone for the easier prey. They ask for too much suspension of belief.
They make a point on explaining that the raptors were bio-engineered and trained to focus on whatever the asian lady villain pointed at with a laser. They weren't hunting prey for food which is why they ignored the pedestrians, they were focused on ripping Owen apart.
tell me you didnt watch this movie, without telling me you didnt watch this movie... Sprint thing I agree - targeting only one prey was explained already in previous movies. All of the dinos in JP franchise are genetically altered. In JW trilogy you get a lot of militarized dinos, many of which can have their target selected by laser and then they dont lose their scent until they have tear them to shreds. They are trained to do so + engineered to behave that way.

I'd agree. The whole movie is just rediculous if you take it seriously in any way. But it's also so rediculous it's funny at some points. Overall it's not a bad movie for how rediculous it really is

How to know for certain this is a movie
1. Raptor chase the guy and girls yet pass many other humans, if we were being real as soon as the got a easier opportunity to eat they'd take it.
2. If the world was aware of the release of the dinos then it would be state of emergency and lockdowns would been enacted.
I like Jurassic park but I wish they do better with these details make it more pressing and dramatic
1. The Atrociraptors were genetically engineered to hunt down a specific target that was marked with a Lazer Targeting System, which is why they were chasing Owen, and Owen alone.
Because the scene that transpired this whole sequence was because of a woman named Soyona Santos who lazer targeted Owen to have him killed.
2. The Atrociraptors, Carnotaurus, and Allosaurus were just released into the public domain, so state of emergency and lockdowns won't started right away. There will be a few more minutes until it is commenced.

Raptors couldn't catch people on foot running at 15-20 mph but they can keep with vehicles doing 50 to 70 mph. Yep that makes sense.
Funny thing I just noticed at 2:00 you hear the sound of an AT-ST cannon firing from Return of the Jedi.

How ridicules. That aircraft liftoff speed is near 120 mph. The fastest dinosaurs may have been able to reach 30 mph at best.
Well the stall speed for the C-119 was 89kts, so 100+kts would be a more reasonable assumption. Also, you don't know how much fuel is in that plane when they were taking off. Compartment looks pretty empty too, devoid of any standard seats or additional cargo of any sort.

LOL! Dinosaur claws and feet were not evolved for running on concrete. It would have caused them to be slower and in less control of their manueverability. I guess the director thinks most viewers are too dumb to know that.
