Back in 2004 when I was ready to buy my first real gear I woulda killed for one of these with Dave Soloway. Favorite tone of all time (The In Reverie Tour changed my musical life standing in front of him at a shown in Philly). It took me 3 years to achieve what I was looking for... and now here it is. Glad Arun uses LF pickups, I have retrofitted P90s in my Les Paul from him, absolutely amazing. Traded up my Tone Cat for a Samson Era Cub back in 2011 I think and have never looked back. That Amp with an amazing boost and P90 pickups is the clearest Overdrive I have ever heard. Always wished I could open a show with STD (fell through twice) and get pointers from them. Only punk band I've ever heard who cared so much about guitar tone, In Reverie, Sound the Alarm and Under the Boards are PERFECT totally. Unreal musicians.
One of the BEST rig rundowns I’ve ever watched. Maybe I’m bias, but Arjun is on of the best guitar players touring right now. I’ve been waiting for this for so long, thanks Premier Guitar!
The Bass Drive was exactly what I used pretty much all the time as well. I had the SVT VR at the time with the matching 8x10, it was pretty good. Doesn't sound like an og though. I actually played with Glassjaw at Maxwell's in NJ and Manny played through it. He said he liked it. This was right after he left STD to stay in GJ.
To clarify the Super(Any 2 channel AB763) mods. Removing V1 increases the cathode current of V2 which increases the gain. Disconnecting the tremolo is a 1 wire mod, that unloads the signal chain, increasing gain.
Arun uses Devine Noise cables I think... they're out of Portland. Lots of other great sounding live bands use them too, they are pricy but they last years and years and years.

pbass is not 73 for sure.. it's 77> (how can't the owner of the bass since '96 know this being a professional musician!?) oh .. he's not a gear freak I guess...
@@louderthangod I can't conceive that a musician who's life is music does not know about every detail of their gear.. look at Green Day's Mike Dirnt (just to name one, even Duff McKagan from GN'R): popular/massive band and he knows about the bass game...
METZ ZTEM I can assure you many do not know these details and some of them are excellent musicians. Geddy Lee just wrote a book about basses and said up until recently he really only just started caring about the details of the basses themselves. You don’t have to like it for it to be true.
Some people make albums and tour the world. Some people know the difference between a 57 and a 59 les paul they'll never own. Different strokes for different folks.
I've heard of them. But that's because I've been listening to this band's music for the last TWENTY years. Geez. This guitarists very first studio work with the band was very creative and refreshing. No doubt why Chris (the band's only original member) dug his style.
This was so great! So glad Saves finally got a Rig Rundown. Constantly impressed by the band. They're the best.
One of my Fav bands! Cant slow Down, Through Being Cool, Stay what You Are, Day Break!
Rodrigo is a man after my own heart. Vintage P bass and an Ampeg SVT with an 810. The ideal rig. Will never be improved upon.

I love this band. Highschool for me when my friends showed me their music.
Great edition, guys! Another great rundown video for the holidays!
Love the Tame Impala riff @ 5:19

Met Rodrigo a few times through a mutual friend - lovely dude
How do you not have time for Chris Conley's rig? The dude IS Saves The Day

Would’ve loved to see Chris’ rig. Anyone else remember them touring with Madball back in the day?
LOVE that you guys are putting a proper mic on the amps to hear these great players and their incredible tones.
Reasonably entertaining little rig rundown for an adorable little band.
He secretly wants Marshall amps
LOOOOOVEEEE STD!!! Awesome job PG getting them on!
Ewww..
I had never heard of this band but glad i stuck it out for the interview with Arun. Yes, I did skip ahead to 11:06 :)
GREAT sounding rig!!!
I also immediately play the less I know the better when I turn on a bass overdrive
Killer rig rundown. And oh, Perry rockin a Knocked Loose hoody, love it.
Arun is an amazing Guitar Player. This was awesome.
I love tele neck pickups
Yeah me too and that is all that Morello uses when he plays his Tele

The tele sounds so sweet.
Sweet, can you give me some information about "Jeff in Chicago"? I'm looking to glue my neck on, too.
lol

He is the dude.
great rig rundown, getting pedal board envy...
Quality programming.
Please try and get in touch with Silverstein for one of these.
Fuzzenough!
anybody know what version rodrigo's fulltone driver is? i cant seem to find it anywhere. is it custom or something he had moded?
it may have been one of the super earlier versions of the full tone fulldrive
That particular version and era of ES 335 was constructed of solid walnut. Maybe that"s why it sounds a little different than most.
Everyone was here to see Chris :(
I don't agree that the tele neck pickup is unusable.
i know right? the tele neck pickup is all i use
100%. Use it all the time, sounds better than strat neck pickup imho. I only use very low output pickups, maybe that's the secret?
I agree with him. I changed out mine for a humbucker - way more useable.
I don't agree with you.
@@protronix And that's okay! Different strokes!
Imma check out geoff from chicago to gem my stuff refret been seeing a good review and this hit it the ball park for sure
"...just Van Halen that shit!"

This interviewer dude is so likeable
the p bass was made in 1978!
Damn, no Chris? I wanted him to talk about his Bad Cat.
Right?!
What cable is he using? Im looking for a cable who is both coiled and regular.

@@eskilseter Thanks for describing exactly what we do! And of course, thanks for the support.

Where are the Marshall JCM's?
No time for Chris' rig?! Booo!
AND I WILL THRILL
UNDER THESE LIGHTS
Rock Huerta it's I will FLAIL .... jesus
i like the fact that nowadays anybody can just buy a guitar a few pedals and make a band, no need to learning to play or anything boring like that
Black pickgaurd after 75
No chris? More like Rig Letdown
Mr kobayashi plays guitar in saves the day?
Was Chris too drunk to go through his rig?
Chris didn't play guitar much this tour. Maybe only 2-3 songs the whole set.
Who skipped ahead to the guitar part???
Always!! lol
@Toxic Potato : )
Band died when Eben left.
who else skipped the bass part?
Why? He's got a good rig and bass is awesome.
WTF is up with the interviewers jeans lol? Must've lost a bet.

Of the professional musicians you know wouldn’t you say that some know everything about their gear and other’s barely know anything.

How about guitarist we’ve heard of ?
John K you need another rundown on Angus Young? Here; SG --> Marshall. You’re welcome.

I’ve never heard of you, you’ve never heard of me. We’re both shit at guitar, that’s why we don’t have a rundown video about us.
You mean a guitarist YOU'VE heard of.
i believe you mean you’ve heard of. the rest of us have heard of these guys. go complain somewhere else.
