I loved watching Victoria practicing on Kevin's piano. My Grandmother Lily Mae was a Music Teacher in Burma, where she was born during the British Raj. She was (Irish/English) and her sister my Great Aunt Alice played the Piano for us when they visited on special occasions like Christmas and Easter. 😅🎉 So this beautiful recital by Victoria was a delightful treat, as it reminded me of those gone by days... 🎶 Thank you 👏 🕯

I actually got tears in my eyes for a split second. Some people live a lifetime and never find what you have. You are helping me to find my hearts desires. I really like the salami spread, jam pastries and veggies and hummus. The floral arrangement was perfect, as well. Thank you for being such a fine Host and brava to Mrs. Victoria.
Thank you Kevin. I’m having a dinner party on Friday and cooking the chicken Marbella, hummus and smoked salmon were on the appetizer list but I wasn’t sure what else. Happily I’ve decided to make the salami wedges, thank you for this. Glad to know that your recital was a huge success. We used to host a classical music party in our yard. We had been to Tanglewood and at one of the concerts we were seated on the lawn under a huge tree which housed speakers; you couldn’t see the orchestra. I decided that we could try this in the yard as a pot luck party and fifty friends came. We continued this for thirteen years until we moved to Belize and at the last one we had ninety guests! People didn’t seem to mind that there wasn’t a live orchestra, they just sat back (we asked them to bring their own chairs) enjoyed the camaraderie and the selection of music that we chose.
Amazing how you can throw a wonderful party and didn’t need to pay for live musicians. you must love Belize. Great idea the guests must have hated when you moved!
I felt like I was there, and had a grand time!... A chilly evening seems to be made for such warm events. I bet no one turns down an invitation to your home! I feel like you are a friend, which is crazy to say.

What a wonderful event to have in your lovely home! My sister used to call this having a "musicale." Your friend is quite a talented pianist, as are you. What a great crowd you had in attendance. Orange Kitty made a brief appearance. The appetizers looked delicious. I love the welcoming floral arrangement strategically located in the foyer. We are also lucky to have an Aldi's in my town, and they do have a great selection of hors d'oeuvre type of foods. Also a nice bakery selection. Of course, over the years, I'm sure your beautiful home has played host to many such "At Home" evenings and it's marvellous that you are keeping the tradition alive in 2023. Apart from your magnificent looking cheese boards I've never tried any of the tasty appetisers you crafted. During the 1970's in the UK we would put cocktail sausages on sticks, cheese and pineapple chunks on sticks and serve prawn cocktails along with a selection of sandwiches on white bread. How much further we've come since then! Very interesting to me that you shopped at Aldi as that is the store I most frequent here in the centre of Manchester. As you correctly state, their budget prices are excellent. I'm sure, on a cold November evening, your guests really loved the wine and everything else you set before them. While you weren't fully happy with the flowers you bought, your final arrangement looked magnificent. Your colour choices blended perfectly, particularly those Burgundy chrysanthemums paired with the white, yellow and green. It was a true pleasure to listen to a small fraction of Victoria's beautiful playing, both in rehearsal and in performance. Thank you so much to her and you for allowing us the privilege. While we never see you playing yourself I'm sure it still plays a very important part in your daily life. Do you still give At Home recitals yourself, Kevin? Phenomenal. This is entertainment at its finest. Loved your appetizers and canapés. I always do milk wash instead of egg wash because I can always taste a kind of unforgiving flavor on pastries from the cooked egg wash. I love to milk wash and it gives a lovely yellow color.

I love your hospitality skills, Kevin! But have you ever considered the beautiful world of dimmer switches? I think your room looks amazingly cozy without a light coming from the ceiling, or maybe at least dimming that light greatly so you have mostly the light at eye level or standing level… Just a little hint from a person who does interior design… I am going to try some of your recipes, though!

Phenomenal. This is entertainment at its finest. Loved your appetizers and canapés. I always do milk wash instead of egg wash because I can always taste a kind of unforgiving flavor on pastries from the cooked egg wash. I love to milk wash and it gives a lovely yellow color.

I love your hospitality skills, Kevin! But have you ever considered the beautiful world of dimmer switches? I think your room looks amazingly cozy without a light coming from the ceiling, or maybe at least dimming that light greatly so you have mostly the light at eye level or standing level… Just a little hint from a person who does interior design… I am going to try some of your recipes, though!
