My husband pulls refrigerated trailers and our local egg plants are just getting back up and going so egg loads are starting to pop up for him. Optimistic that egg prices will be coming down soon.🙌
At the end you mentioned the Oreos. That was last week's sale. Your store missed taking off those labels too. Stores change their layout to force people to go down aisles. It may be frustrating to most of us, but it targets impulse shoppers. It also distracts from the fact that they are out of a lot of stuff. Thanks for your channel. It has saved me a ton of money.
Ours here is Wisconsin too. When Kroger first bought out the Pick and Save stores here (5 years maybe) , it took weeks to rearrange and re-signage everything to be uniform & consistent with their stores nationwide. And now, at LEAST once a year, they move things...and not always for the better.
You are right about the outrageous prices for lunchables. When Kraft first introduced them in 1989, they almost lost their shirts on them. The cost of the packaging was so high back then (before they learned to mass produce more plastic for it) its lucky they survived. But to think that you are paying over $2 or $3 dollars (and more) for a few stale crackers and some ba-lone-nee, its just nuts. Even on sale, it is a rip off. Worse yet??? Some public school systems are now using them for thier school lunch programs. Remember when they used to actually cook real food on site? Now they give you junk food.
I looked that up, read several art on it, looked on redit too. Makes me mad. It does not matter that they changed formulas, it has lead and cadmium in it.
Wow! A comment that I posted earlier this morning has been deleted!!😱😱...I guess someone didn't want me to say where a MUCH better deal for the cans of Spaghetti-O's is...Oh well...🙄🙄🙄🙄
I hate when Kroger does that. It makes me want to go to Publix or Walmart then. I think they are doing it on purpose so that everyone will walk around more instead of walking through their usual routine. Most people will see things that they probably didn't notice before and buy it. So I think that is what it's designed to do. Make everyone buy more by having my more impulse purchases.
Welcome to British supermarkets Danno 😂. The aisles are designed to accommodate just 2 trollies, one going each way. Makes for conversations 😂. Still we only have teeny, tiny sized goods so they're OK for us. We don't know how to cope with wide aisles, they're at Costco. The aisles are like our roads, but plenty big enough for our tiny country. ❤❤❤👵🏴🌹🌹
Our Kroger aisles are tight too. On top of that each aisle always has boxes and people loading the shelves, and there is no room to get your cart through, you have to back up or choose another aisle. Makes me nuts sometimes. There was a time that shelves were loaded after hrs. Not anymore. Shoppers have to compete with shelf loading employees. Goes on all day long, no matter what time you go. This is happening all over the store too, no matter what department. We also have to compete with permanent stacks of sales taking up space in the aisles too (like the oreos display you showed) and we have to go around these blocks and often run into another customer trying to come the opposite direction. Also, I use the mini cart, imagine if I had a full size cart. I get in and get out ASAP.
The reason that so many stores are having to stock their shelves during the day is because they can’t find people to work 3rd shift for what they are paying and especially how hard they are having to work I can’t tell you how many times Kroger would hire someone new for the night crew and after a very short period of time they are like I’m not working this hard for this little bit of money
@@bengalsfan97 I understand your point of view. Firstly, customers are their bread and butter and they need to work around them and offer to move if someone wants to get something off the shelf. Without customers they would lose a lot of income. It should not be the other way around, putting customers last. Often there are times that there are boxes blocking access to items on the shelf and there are often 3 - 4 huge boxes in each aisle. That is not being considerate to us. They should empty one huge box at a time and when done get another, not line up several boxes in aisles. it's like that all the time. we have to abandon our carts and walk and carry stuff to our carts out of the aisles. So they need to make it better for the consumers, not just the workers. Without us, they wouldn't have their jobs.
In the late 80's early 90's I worked in a department store. One of the reasons stores move things around is so people see different things. And may buy other things. I don't like the isle being too tall. My Giant is being remodeled.
Thanks,Danno. We're heading for Kroger tomorrow, as usual. They change everything so that you HAVE to hunt, and expose you to items you would not have normal thought of. Our Kroger have widened
Danno, another recall. This one occurred here in my hometown! From the FDA website: Frozen Food Processors of Hattiesburg. Regular cornbread muffins 1862 cases Manufactured without State License and in unsanitary conditions Distributed in MS, TN, La, AR, and AL The article listed the lot numbers, but there are too many for me to type out. It's bad when they go after our cornbread! 😢
My Kroger did that reset a couple years ago. Narrow aisles and they still put product carts in the aisle. Biggest change was to shift the wine and beer section next to the deli and produce and make it a bigger section than it was. I still don't know where everything is because some of the new product placements don't seem logical to me.
Danno, would you please consider telling us at what Kroger location your shopping. I'm sure it's very hard to get through the aisles in an electric wheelchair 😢. Many of us elderly need to be aware of the Kroger with small aisles. Thank you for sharing the sales information. Have a blessed day 🙏 ❤.
Expect to be frustrated for a while Danno! I was talking to a lady at that Kroger last week who pulled an employee into our conversation. The employee said the place is crazy overnight with people working to rearrange the store. I think she said the Grand Reopening date is sometime in early October. On the plus side, I did find some nice stuff in the clearance rack today.
Our Kroger in AZ is called Fry's. The stores have smaller outfits just called Fry's and larger stores called Fry's market place. Kinda like the difference between Walmart neighborhood markers and super Walmart. In either case, it seems like all the stores here are taking out isles and widening things (meaning less shelf space).
I shop around two to three times per week. My local store Market Basket is constanly busy. They used tonot reorganize but lateley things have been moved around. They are the least expensive around the area of pretty much the Northeast. It's a bit stressful because of the crowds, but it is worth it. We can be very tired after a trip there, but the guys are always nice and ask if we need help getting stuff to the car. It's annoying when stores change their layout. It can make one befuddled! Thanks for your shopping trips.
Our local Kroger did the same thing!!! They COMPLETELY rearranged the WHOLE store and I HATE it!!! I spend waaay too much time looking for things and instead of making me buy more I just get frustrated and leave with whatever I can find. Aisles are narrower, shelves are higher and lighting is funky now. I HATE shopping here now. 😢
You are so funny, you got me laughing about the isles. No one likes cramped isles or moving everything around. Still the most important words are price price price, which will be why I shop at Kroger, or another store. I enjoyed seeing all the changes you showed on this video.😊thanks.
Our dillons here in ks had a big remodel, brought in a set crew and everything. Aisles definitly got smaller, but they did a grand reopening and had alot deals just for our store. Mostly big discounts on whole briskets and ribs, but lots of other good deals. I hope yours does a grand reopening once they are finished so you can get those great deals too!! Thanks for what you do!!
Well, had my mind blown this morning and thought I would pass it on. Took the same grocery list to 3 websites....Kroger, Meijer and Walmart. Kroger came out on top. Meijer was less than an $1 more and Walmart was over $6 more! I'm in Detroit and just couldn't believe it!! They haven't started "updating" our local Kroger yet.
Kroger is behind on Halloween stuff. Could be for Halloween and Christmas? I don't get intimidated by things moved around. I'll walk aisles regardless. Best deals are usually mixed with regular prices. Found big boxes of kraft and cracker barrel pasta this week. Cracker barrel are under forty cents a box, and a big box of family Kraft is just over a dollar. I would not eat them, but makes great donations. Some fruit cups are also up to seventy five percent off. Some great sales this week as well. Edit.
I was at Meijer yesterday, I picked up 2 pasta bags that was on clearance, I put them up first just so I could question price. Good thing I put up first because when I asked they would've charged regular price. I left them clearance items with the cashier..
I watch every price at register at kroger and walmart. Every trip has a few items ring up wrong. It's been going on last 2 hrs or more. Not an accident. Step aside n check your receipt before u go out the door for anything u may have missed at the register
@@SandraFields-f8b I actually do that when I have time, pay for transportation so I'm on their time allotment.. If I'm waiting for my trip back home, it gives me time to look at receipts. Smart thing to do, because stores hope people don't look, and they are able to charge full price.
@@SandraFields-f8bI agree. I’ve had issues wirh my Kroger and meat on sale. They ring up a price higher than the sale price . I’ve had to go inside to customer service and have them get me a refund for the overcharge . So I always check my receipt now.
The purpose of the major resets amd re-arramge,emts is to keep you in the store longer. There are stats which equate added sales with more time spent in the store.
All of the aisles @ Ralphs in my busy Los Angeles county store have narrow aisles. 😮 I constantly have to yield around the free standing displays for carts coming towards me just like driving down narrow 2 way beach streets that only fit 1 car 😂
I have definitely noticed the narrowing of the aisles and they have things in the way everywhere in the store. There is only one way for a person to go along the back where dairy and meat are in my stores. If someone is coming towards you then you have to go around all the things that are in the way in the aisle and work your way over to it again. It's really frustrating!!
The small neighborhood Kroger here in SC changed, added & moved a lot of stuff the last few weeks. Some of the aisles are very narrow & I am not a fan at all. Thanks ❤
I don't do Kroger, but if i did.... With thinner aisles and putting displays in the way i would immediately go to management bc it doesn't seem to be very ADA compliant. I always think of that anywhere I go.
I don’t think Kroger wants you in the store at all! They want you to order it online and do a pickup or delivery order. Our market place has 20 check out lanes, no matter how busy they are there will only be 3 lanes open. They rarely have a bagger, and no matter how big your order want you to use the self checkout. I go across town to the Kyles Station store, it’s much easier to get in and out of and seems to be more concerned about the customer service.
We went to Kroger a couple months ago for the 1st time in years & Had a hard time finding several things.Their Brand Tomatoes are priced low for ac4 pack but the peelings are tough. We probably won't be going back.
Our store out in Kornfield Kounty, Ohio has narrow aisles, and several of those dumb displays. Monday, I had to wait for a lady who had parked her cart and was trying to look at a shelf. Not a problem for me, but she felt bad! I said, "It's not your fault they leave all these dumb things in the aisles!" We laughed, and it was okay. But, like you, I don't like it!
Hate the complete rearranging at stores too. Check your frozen section there. Found some closeouts at 50% off for Bubba Burgers and chicken products yesterday.
My husband and I were talking about this digital coupons thing and we agreed that for older folks who are y very tech savvy, being able to figure out how to use digital coupons could be a problem. What about people who don’t have smart phones . I know most people do have them but there’s a small number of people who dont ( again, mostly the elderly or very poor) So it’s discrimatory.
Oh, Danno the aisle size complaining was epic. Hahaha. My Kroger's been like that for ages. But I do hate when they change things around. Did they put up charts at the end of the aisles to tell you where things are now? Our store did that about two years ago. Little paper chart. But I'm used to it now.
They will move all of the shelves put the product on the shelves and then they have these really cool tools that they call skates that can pick up the entire row of shelves and skate them into their permanent locations so those aisles won’t be that narrow when everything is done from the remodel I know because I use to work at Kroger and saw it done many many times
I went to Kroger on Tuesday and everything was moved it was very frustrating. I told them I didn’t like it and other people at the checkout were complaining. Thank you ! 🛒
Your rice and dry bean aisle is huge. My kroger is like here's some long grain rice and some Pinto beans..eat them and shut up! Lol Ours has been overhauled too. Had to run back and forth the whole trip to find the items on my list!
Hopefully those aisles do not remain that narrow. I find it hard as it is to get past other shoppers, employees with the large pickup carts, the outside merchandisers stocking shelves and cartons of product sitting on the floor to be shelved. Kroger should remove all the floor stand displays when aisles are that narrow. Manufacturers negotiate with the stores to place those floor displays. So If Kroger is getting paid to place them, they are out of contract if they do not have them.
Marketing sales items is why they move products around. And with short supplies stores will scatter common items around store so you are forced to go down nearly every isle. When you have to see ALL those products you are more than likely to notice and pick up items you hadn't intended to buy! It's a sales tactic. It's a "Marketing" and "sales" tactic to increase ALL sales throughout the store. Advice- stick to your shopping lists!!!
I absolutely agree with you! Why switch everything around when customers are used to it already? My hubby stops at Kroger on the way home from work to pick up a few things for me. If they do that in Michigan, not gonna be a happy camper! About 10 years ago they added almost a whole second store to our local location. It was so freaking huge! It took me a few months to find everything! They have switched it around a few times since then! The person coming up up with these ideas should be fired! Greed is the reason your store is making narrower aisles! People are struggling as it is, who can afford any new merchandise coming in? They are crazy! Tried to get Dukes mayo bogo didn't have the regular! Just some weird flavors! 3.99 roasts were out. We have 2 more Kroger near us. Will try there! Thank goodness all of the fast food restaurants are at least 30 minutes away! Never tempted to buy fast food that far away! Prices are way out of control! Hi to Jess! Bring her on more! She's so sweet!
when they go 100% online they wont need space for customers , they just need space for stock pickers who'll collect your prepaid order and have it waiting for you to collect
Are they expanding the car park at your Kroger? The food aisles look like they are being turned into single trolley aisles. Lots of Walmart's will be shutting to the public. You pull into the car park and have stuff bought to your car, or home only.
Funny product shortage stores expanding In Tennessee there's gas station chain in knoxville opening like 20 new stores in Chattanooga so they need product gas There's grocery chain opening like 20 new stores so need product gas but why so many gas stations when people switching to electric Kroger adding more products shrinking the aisles what they want more people to do curbside alot if stores pushing this walmart offering cash back rewards if you shop online Sams club deals going to scan n go or online
Dollar general 1/2 gallon is over 3.50 2% butternut smaller loaf of bread is 3.50 single bottle of coke is 2.39 a bottle . Danno you have so many different types of people you will see different type of food for these people because they don't eat the same food as Americans .
Thanks for checking on the organic coffee, just stocked up on it this last sale. I wonder if the sale carried over? I also tried some new varieties besides the house blend and they had larger packs of the ground. Plus, I got some instant varieties that were on sale. So now, I have a good mixture of whole bean, ground and instant. My goal is to have a 6 month supply, one year, if I can. Natural Grocers often has good deals on organic ketchup and mustard, $1.99 each. They'll be having a good anniversary sale 8/15-17. Does anyone know how to redeem the fuel points? I only have Kroger delivery, and the drivers don't have any answers for me. Ive located the Shell station where to redeem, but do I need to have the phone app to redeem? Thanks for everything!
Danno your store won't stay that way the aisles will improve this is classic Kroger in a remodeling. Kroger in Milford is going through this right now also

Walmart in my area has been out of Diet Pepsi 2L for over two weeks now and no one in the store can tell me why. It's so weird. The other types of Pepsi are stocked. A week ago the cans and small bottles started to dwindle. I've checked a few other Walmart stores as well as my usual location and they are in the same predicament. But Meijer and Kroger are well stocked. No info online that I can find so I'm stumped. Anyone else having this issue?
I miss the days when you could go to 1 store and get everything one needed. Don't need digital deals

Never done it before, too late to change now. Deals in general have been around for a long time.

My Kroger typically has one checker with 10 carts in line, so frustrating.
Im so glad i dont have a kroger anymore because those aisles are ridiculously narrow
Went to Kroger's today so I could pick up so 3.99 per pound 93/7 ground beef.... sold out.
It is frustrating when stores change things around! Walmart does that all the time!
Aisles like that would drive me to another store
We went to Kroger a couple months ago for the 1st time in years & Had a hard time finding several things.Their Brand Tomatoes are priced low for ac4 pack but the peelings are tough. We probably won't be going back.
Our store out in Kornfield Kounty, Ohio has narrow aisles, and several of those dumb displays. Monday, I had to wait for a lady who had parked her cart and was trying to look at a shelf. Not a problem for me, but she felt bad! I said, "It's not your fault they leave all these dumb things in the aisles!" We laughed, and it was okay. But, like you, I don't like it!
putting snack packs on the very top shelf, where you can barely reach them...need a yardstick to shove them towards you, to drop on the floor
Hate the complete rearranging at stores too. Check your frozen section there. Found some closeouts at 50% off for Bubba Burgers and chicken products yesterday.
Digital sucks, just have a sale, it would be much easier for me
My husband and I were talking about this digital coupons thing and we agreed that for older folks who are y very tech savvy, being able to figure out how to use digital coupons could be a problem. What about people who don’t have smart phones . I know most people do have them but there’s a small number of people who dont ( again, mostly the elderly or very poor) So it’s discrimatory.
I also hate the rearrange of stores. It talk a while to adjust to.
Good morning Danno
Jungle Jim's checking in
They will move all of the shelves put the product on the shelves and then they have these really cool tools that they call skates that can pick up the entire row of shelves and skate them into their permanent locations so those aisles won’t be that narrow when everything is done from the remodel I know because I use to work at Kroger and saw it done many many times
** NOT ONLY DID THEY HAVE DUKES BOGO ITS DOWN 1.50 FROM 649 TO 499 SO 2.50 A JAR wow
Lol
Ours has been overhauled too. Had to run back and forth the whole trip to find the items on my list!
Kroger jamming out with the music 😂
I just paid over $286.00 for hardly any food. This is just getting so sad 😢😢😢😢😢😢
Reset is probably to increase space for their own brand labels that have higher margins. May be part of digital efforts as well.
I hate the narrow isles!! I agree stop putting floor displays in the isle.
The Kroger Market Place near me in Royal Oak, Mi is also under a remodel. Kinda confusing right now.
Just about croaked at the price of a pound of hamburger at Kroger the other day, $8.79. Sometimes I can catch a sale but not that day.
Are they expanding the car park at your Kroger? The food aisles look like they are being turned into single trolley aisles. Lots of Walmart's will be shutting to the public. You pull into the car park and have stuff bought to your car, or home only.
3:27 my local KS did the same but I dont really mind….I only do pick up weekly. However, they provide WONDERFUL service ❤
My Kroger had the 48 count of Kroger k.cups on clearance for $8.00. originally $17.99
I grabbed 5 boxes
Funny product shortage stores expanding
In Tennessee there's gas station chain in knoxville opening like 20 new stores in Chattanooga so they need product gas
There's grocery chain opening like 20 new stores so need product gas but why so many gas stations when people switching to electric
Kroger adding more products shrinking the aisles what they want more people to do curbside alot if stores pushing this walmart offering cash back rewards if you shop online
Sams club deals going to scan n go or online
Dollar general 1/2 gallon is over 3.50 2% butternut smaller loaf of bread is 3.50 single bottle of coke is 2.39 a bottle . Danno you have so many different types of people you will see different type of food for these people because they don't eat the same food as Americans .
How are they adding aisles if we have food shortages?
Gallatin TN here. CVS start stocking up Halloween stuff. I would say it's little too early?
Cool Oreo stax on sale
9ur Kroger is missing our green tea.
Danno your store won't stay that way the aisles will improve this is classic Kroger in a remodeling. Kroger in Milford is going through this right now also
Howdy Danno, could you please start showing reg/decaff iced tea bags..i'm not a hot tea drinker I drink cold sweet tea here in SE Texas..thanks...oh and yes they have totally changed up 2 of the Kroger's close to my area(suburb of Houston se side)
👍
Thank you for the adventure in grocery shopping!!! The struggle is REAL!! Wow lots changes at your Kroger!
I noticed at Sam’s they’re full. Just coffee has went up a $1.00 also
