Dr. Shahina, a native of Edappally, Ernakulam, who works as a Medical Officer at the Government Homoeo Dispensary, Tripunithura, tells us her story from the stage of Josh Talks today. Shahina's life was turned upside down when a kerosene lamp fell on her dress at the age of five and suffered 75% burns on her body. The burns that were inflicted on her mind due to the way the society reacted to her were far greater than the burns she had inflicted on her body. Today's episode of Josh Talks tells the story of how Shahina came to be known as Dr. Shahina who is an active healthcare practitioner in the same society which hurt her before.

ഞാൻ 5 ആം ക്ലാസ്സിൽ പഠിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഇതുപോലെ വിളക്ക് കത്തിച്ചു പുസ്തകം പൊതിയുക ആയിരുന്നു കൈ തട്ടി എന്റെ മടിയിൽ വീണു മിടിയിൽ വീണു ആളികത്തി but ഉമ്മ അടുത്തു ഇണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഉമ്മ വേഗം നിലത്തു ഉന്തിയിട്ട് ഉരുട്ടി. ഉമ്മ അന്ന് എന്താണ് ചെയ്യുന്നേ എന്ന് എനിക്ക് അറിയില്ലായിരുന്നു. ബട്ട്‌ ഉമ്മ അത് ചെയ്ത് കൊണ്ട് ഒരു പോറൽ പോലും വന്നില്ല. ഇപ്പോഴും അത് ഒന്നും വിശ്വസിക്കാൻ കഴിയുന്നില്ല.
