- India is full of surprises and my arrival in Varanasi to see the Ganga river was also very exceptional. In this video, I am sharing my walk and first impressions of Varanasi.

The Ganges is famous for ceremonies or pujas, especially in the spiritual city of Varanasi, where funeral pyres and cremations are common. Hindus believe depositing a loved one's ashes in the Ganges helps the deceased reach moksha - a term for freeing the soul from the cycle of reincarnation.🇮🇳
Thanks for mentioning it. Some western media outlets used those photos and made fake news that the funerals are due to excess covid deaths.

Whenever any shopkeeper calls you , and you are not interested in his things , don't reply him , a reply to them means they think they can fool you , just go ahead and don't give them a shit

Appreciate that you really called the river name accurately, otherwise, most westerners would call it as ganzeez, which is not. Its Ganga, not Ganzeezz or Ganges. I wish you have a great experience in my country and when you go back home you carry beautiful memories that makes you come back again and again.
It's because of the accent. Azerbaijani language is central Asian so it has few similar phrases with Hindi

some world class infrastructure coming up in Varanasi that's why so much construction work. people there were telling you to visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple which is older temple has been made into world class temple complex in recent years.
I have been to India thrice and am still looking forward to go again if I have chance.Been staying at a village in Punjab which is situated in north-east India.When I see the people tailing you I remembered my wonderful experience there.I can write many positive things about the people in India.Whether they are selling by the roadside or are rickshaw riders they are caring but situations make them seem to be always bothering you.I truly respect you Davud because although they keep asking, you have a way to thank them and carry on.Thanks for the video as I am looking forward to visit Varanasi if i have another chance to perform prayers for my parents,sister,daughter and also relatives and ancestors.From Malaysia.

I Was there on 5th March to immerse my mother's ashes
she passed away at the age of 94....
Stayed there for 5 days had 3 dips a day in the Ganga ma

unfortunately Varanasi has become too touristy. however there is another holy city equivalent to Varanasi named Rishikesh (birthplace of yoga) in north india which is not as touristy and lot less touts.
there is no other place like Kashi....Oldest City ❤️

you handled it pretty well i thought...you kept your dignity which is the main thing, not just the wallet...i guess we must remember these people have had zero opportunities in the past 2 years, so of course they are going to pounce on the 1st person they see now....i didn't get this type of hassle there in 2018 but things were different then...varanasi is a wonderful holy sacred place and i loved being there...there's nowhere quite like India....it's such a mass of contrasts and contradictions and i cannot wait to go back....take care
