The best thing i ever found at a thrift store was when I was in high school I found a prom dress for 10 dollars that was actually a davids bridal dress worth $500 new
I saw a (pretty young looking) woman in a thrift store once who was buying a wedding dress in there. She said this was already her 3rd marriage and she didn’t want to buy another expensive dress.
I have never brought any of my kids a thrifted item of clothing or toys but I used to spend a fortune on kids clothing and they would wear it once or twice then I would donate them so I’m sure there is items for kids at those shops that have barely been worn. I just personally prefer new
It wasn't at a thrift store but at Wal-Mart but I still felt like I had scored. So my son uses a wheelchair and wears leg braces. He LOVES jeans but regular ones just kind of suck for a number of reasons. I found a clearance rack of boys stretchy waist wrangler jeans for $2.00 a piece!! I bought each size in both the washes they had up to a 18 boys. So about 12 pairs of soft jeans for $24. I felt like they had been placed there for me after all the searching for these exact type of pants I had done!! #backtofall 💖
I was contemplating replacing my every day dishes because so many had chips. I wandered into a local church thrift shop and found a nearly complete set of my dishes in perfect condition for $30. That was by far the best thrift experience I have had!
Best thrifted deal we ever got for my son (he’s 25 now) as a walking almost year old we left home with a family emergency and I grabbed his ear infection meds, coat, a drawer full of sleepers, his diapers, wipes and two sippy cups, drove three counties over to my moms house in a snow storm and basically dropped him off for what turned into three and a half weeks, no shoes, no toys and no go outside clothes. My sister in law went to a nearby kids thrift shop and got him several outfits and the Best Buy was a pair of Jordan’s for .50 !!! They still had tags, child had outgrown before wearing, he wore those little shoes for months and played hard in mud puddles and ponds before he had a giant overnight growth spurt. Back in the day, those were a hot commodity and something I never would have bought, but for 50 cents, yes please. Loved the video and all the treasures you found for your treasures. 🤎
First off, I absolutely love Hailey's glasses! Second, I got the most unique old grandma sweater from an estate sale that has patches sewn on from countries around the world! It is the coolest thing and I am obsessed with it and get compliments on it all the time. And it was five bucks!
Love this video! Thrifting is such an amazing thing to do for yourself and the environment. I always thrift first for my kids and usually end up getting higher quality clothing for a fraction of the price. I’ve also had great luck in my local mom groups, too! ❤️
Joggers forever no matter the age or gender! 😁 My son calls them “hard pants” too. They’re for going out to dinner, church, and such. You found great items!!
I can't wait! This is seriously perfect timing. I said to myself this morning I was going to go through all my kiddos clothes today in order to go to a second-hand sale this weekend for their fall wardrobes!
I love thrift shopping! It’s a passion of mine. You just never know what you will find! I was thinking of pushing myself to only buy 2nd hand pre-loved items for the rest of the year. What do you think? I love your videos by the way.
Hi Natalie! 🤎 I do not have kids, but I babysit my eight years old niece 5 days a week and I have a room in my house for her. So I love to watch this videos. I feel motivated to organice and declutter her room. Thank you! 🤗
🤎 Hi, Natalie. I love your videos! And I love when the kids are around! They are so beautiful! Watching your videos make me feel so relax and motivated! Thank you!
I found a navy blue wool pea coat at Good will for $1, size 18 months, for my son who already looked like a little old man. It was so adorable to see him in that as a fairly new walker!
Love your thrifted finds! My favorite ever was for myself, a black cashmere coat in a size 12, exactly what I wanted, on a half-price day for $11.40. I wore it for three years.
🤎🤎🤎. I volunteer at our local thrift store where all the money made goes back into our county. My best finds (too many to list but always winds up to be my favorite clothing item for that season! Thrifting is the way to shop and alway like a treasure trove👍🏻
Good reminder for me LOL. We are so fortunate that we have former neighbors who have a daughter one year older and we get their hand me downs...it is such a joy!
The Victoria Beckham collection was so good I got my daughters going home outfit from her line too it was the one with all the little bumblebees so cute wish they brought it back
I thrifted a short red suede vest that I wore over a long maxi black knit dress. Also a tan suede vest too. I wear plain basic athletic clothes now, nothing fancy.🤎
Oh my goodness my kids are the same sizes but mine are only 5 yrs and 3 yrs. I feel you on the girls pants. My 3 year old wears 4T waist but they can be long for her still in pants. She does not like most hard pants because most are slim/skinny cut so they are "squishen me" or "not fitten me". My favorite thrift find was a maternity wool winter coat for about $15. I wore it with all three of my babies.
You're so smart to spend more on new shoes and save on clothing. Kids outgrow things so quickly, but good foot support is essential. I had two little girls and I bought what they needed while wonderful Aunts, Grandmoms, and Godmothers bought the pretties and frills.
My best thrift find was a prom dress, I got this beautiful pale green mermaid style dress covered in floral beading for $8. It fit me perfectly, whoever had it before me had the straps taken in and they are the exact length I needed. Thrift stores can have some awesome hidden gems.
#backtofall i love thrifting the older style of the lands ends Jersey dress in different patterns for my daughter - they fit great and are really comfy
My favorite thrift this year has been my carhartt sweatshirts. Both in basically new condition. Both 1/2 of the cost brand new and they are the mid-heavy weight ones so they are perfect for fall and then layering in our cold NY winters. My son’s entire wardrobe has been thrifted or gifted. He’s currently 4 months old and we have clothing(some pieces up to 3-4T)that is almost brand new condition. Poshmark has been great for his wardrobe and one of my favorite places to shop secondhand since my local thrift store is so hit or miss on kids clothes in good shape. I’m definitely gonna have to look into Kidizen! Great video as always Natalie! Hope your family had a blessed fall ❤️
Your videos are part of my weekly routine! This #backtofall series has seriously been perfect (may have already decorated for fall!) Your content is awesome, Natalie!!! 🖤💛🧡
#backtofall💙 I have gotten lots of cool things at the thrift store through the years. Where I live now, the thrift stores are a tad on the expensive side, but when I was in college, I found TONS of awesome finds at their village discount store. :) ~Karen
At an op shop in Australia I have. Found over 13 lorna Jane tops which is a expensive sports brand plus some. Bras and pants. I got it all for about 100 retailed to be 60 + dollers a tank.
At a goodwill outlet I found the full big Disney magic kingdom castle lego set only bag 1 was opened and only Minnie’s bow was missing. I paid $10 for it in a nice tote regularly I think $350!
💛That sweater is adorable!!! So detailed! I love finding home decor at a peddler's mall, the thrift store, or a repurpose shop. I decorated every room in our house with secondhand items. When I started decluttering and minimizing in January, I removed most of the decor and quarantined it in our basement. It took me a few months, but I'm finally letting it go a few pieces at a time. Home decor is the one thing I always looked for secondhand first. I just don't want to have so much to maintain now.
Your ‘messy to minimal’ series is so beneficial! Thank you for putting your time and efforts into these and all your videos. 🤎. These videos are so helpful for me as I am moving from a 2175 sq.ft. home to a 1550 sq.ft. home. 🤍. I am very excited to downsize and declutter so much of my stuff. I have always seemed to have some connection to the “stuff” I have. It is such a burden in a way taking it from one house to the next. I am just done with that. 💜
🤎 I LOVE Fall!! I love the items you got for the kids and that you thrifted them. They’re all very Kid Friendly - clothes they can be kids in. Thanks for all the inspiration! Bless You and Yours! Have a Wonderful Day!!
I love antique shopping so I’m not even sure what my favorite thing is. Maybe our dining room table. It’s big enough for our family and it has a sleeve to make it bigger but it’s solid sturdy wood that’ll hopefully last a long time. #backtofall 💙🤎
Thrifting and antiquing is my favorite! Two of my favorite finds is some old crock dough bowls and then a winged back chair my mom and I ended up reupholstering together. You’re cozy Pacific Northwest videos are tricking me into thinking fall is coming soon! Kansas is still 106 degrees today and Im dreaming of cooler weather! Love your sweet intentional videos, thanks for sharing your wisdom and family with us ☺️
I love fall. My favorite season by far! In a typical year we jam pack it with activities so that has been kinda sad last year and this year as we are still avoiding crowds but I definitely still love leaves turning and pumpkins and apples and spice and everything nice it brings. Cozy hoodie weather, maybe a fire with the family and some hot apple cider. 🍁🍂
The best bargains I have ever found were 5! “Legit” Coach purses at a thrift store for $25 each!! Real leather and all the proper leather stamped markings etc. the next best were all the new with tags Victoria Secret hoodies and pants for our youngest daughter. We live in a college town and kids buy things they can’t take home bc the money was to be spent on school books and fees.
I am a BIG GIRL, who loves clothes and has way too many. During lockdown, I decluttered everything BUT my two closets full. I have to work on that. PS. I put iron on patches on the INSIDE of the knees of my son’s play wear. It really saved them.
I lovvvvve thrifting kids clothes. The secret is to find a Platos closet near the nicest part of town. I swear I get 4x more quality clothing out of my money. I’ve like new girls overalls for $4 normally you would easily pay $20. I never had the same luck thrifting my own clothing. #backtofall 🥳
🤎 I can’t think of the coolest single item I’ve thrifted, but all of the centerpieces for me wedding were thrifted pieces. It was collections of pictures frames I painted rose gold & then glass pieces in cream, purple, & milk glass. Then I added in cream & lilac flowers 💜💜 it turned out exactly as I dreamed it! #backtofall
You asked about coolest things found at a thrift store and just within the last week or two I found a mustard colored floral romper that is handmade for $8! Plus a Zara kids cardigan that was $7! Added some ribbed/ruffled knee high matching socks and my almost 2 year olds bday outfit is complete for end of September! So thrilled to find these quality pieces that I got second hand. 🤎
Natalie-always love your videos! You are a great inspiration. The kids got so big. Hailey looks so pretty with her new glasses. They are very flattering and also make her look so grown up. :(
I love clothing thrifting for myself! Some of my favorite finds have been at church rummage sales. I got a loose fitting batik print blouse from Indonesia, a great vintage floral sun dress with a lace up detail in the back, and a great Mountain Hardwear pullover. I also have a navy and white striped midi length t-shirt dress I found at Goodwill new with tags that is not see-through, super flattering, and easy to dress up or down. And a recent find I love is a pair of vintage wide leg cropped Tommy Hilfiger pants! They are black and still in great shape! One of my best tips is to never buy coats, especially dressier coats, new. The designs are usually classic with little changes in style from year to year, and you can get really great quality ones still in good shape at the thrift store. Keep on the lookout for wool coats especially.
I found a brand new folk guitar for $100 when I was thrifting once. Couldn't pass that up. The violin I played all through high school and many years after was also found at a thrift store, for $25 :)
I wish we could break out the fall clothes but in GA it’s still mid to high eighties. “Fall” comes in late October if it’s feeling nice and usually lasts a few days then jumps back up to 80s. In the South we love the idea of fall and we get the color but the temps aren’t as nice.
🤎 I started watching yesterday, but the day got away from me. #momlife I’ve been loving the #backtofall series, and I’ve been trying to do some of this before school starts, and we get into my FAVORITE season…fall!
What cute clothing selections! My kids are sadly past the point of me picking out their clothes. Love Saltwater Sandals for my youngest, so versatile and cute with everything. We’re still fully in summer here, but will embrace fall by mid September. My best thrift buy was a pair of kids Blundstone boots, for $2-4, worn a ton by 2 kids here and sold for much more. I don’t buy shoes with visible wear for kids, but very lightly used shoes aren’t a no for my family. #backtofall ❤️
my husband my son and i only have 3-4 pairs of shoes slippers sandles and tennies then i have a pair of flats for a date night or event and he has dress shoes for an office job if that ever becomes a thing for his current job rather than being remote! i cant wait for our sons fall wardrobe we get all his clothes second hand at once upon a child
Best thing I thrifted was a skirt for my daughter. It was a next brand new with tags that I paid £2.50 for on Ebay and tag said it was £18 when sold in shop. It lasted her for three summers before she out grow it 💕💕
❤ I have many favorite finds from thrift stores, but one find was a Target dress that retailed $30 for $8, but the awesome thing was it was in my size, a color I didnt have, and it's no longer sold in stores so I was super happy to find it!:)
🤎 The “joys and pains” of motherhood- bad hips and knees. My last baby 4 years ago gave me a slight meniscus tear (not surgery worthy) and I also have moderate osteoarthritis 😅 I feel like snap, crackle and pop! Thanks for the video 🤗
🤎 Listen, little girls are little just once. I buy whatever I want for my little girl because she’s growing up so fast and already she’s becoming so independent with her clothing choices. When they’re little, there’s nothing wrong with indulging in cute dresses, a different one for every day if you like, in my opinion. They can be thrifted, as you say (most of ours are), and they can be passed on.😊
@@NatalieBennett that’s true. I donate some and resell some, and use the proceeds to buy for the next season. By the way, I love how you dress Hailey! Similar to how I dress my Emma.😊
I’m so excited for some fall videos with all the amazing music you add to them! You always pick such fun, fitting music but your fall playlist is such a vibe! 🤎
I was looking for a junior golf set for my son. I was looking on marketplace but everything was 50+ dollars. I just happen to find a nice condition one for 8 bucks at goodwill, his size and everything! I was so excited.
#backtofall💚 Got hit with a decluttering mood last night and sat down with my almost-2-year-old to sort through her toy bins. It was so cool to watch which toys grabbed her attention and which ones were obviously over-used and exhausted. We rediscovered her blocks buried under a bunch of wooden train tracks she's never used. Cue squeals and a ten-minute break to build towers, lol! She's brought a couple more rediscovered toys to me this morning, very excited about her finds. I'm realizing I need to declutter her closet too. Still have 9-month dresses hanging up - whoops.
Agree on avoiding thrifted shoes unless new & yep underwear is a new thing only lol 😂 I do the same for my children with thrifting what I can, then I go new with whatever I just can’t find. Kids clothes generally get worn out quickly so sometimes you just have to go new. You found some awesome stuff.
The coolest thing I’ve bought from a secondhand/antique store was a book holder made from wood of a ship built in 1906. It has a plaque on it with the exact ship and I love repurposed stuff like that. 💗 #backtofall
Best thing I ever thrifted was a vintage designer handbag for £10! The people who had priced it up and put it out must have had no idea how valuable it was, but I price checked it once I got it home and it was valued at nearly £150! It was Italian leather and it was a little cracked over the strap but I loved that bag and wore it daily for about 8 years before I dropped it back off at the charity shop I found it at 🥰 Hopefully the person who found it after me enjoyed it just as much as I did 😊
🤍🤍🤍I have a two month old little girl and already over shop for her so this was super helpful ! Thanks as always for being such a positive and uplifting corner of the Internet 🥰
Hey friends! I hope you enjoy some decluttering motivation and a fun thrift haul! To enter the giveaway for this video just comment with #backtofall and then drop your favorite heart emoji! ❤️♥️💙💜💔💗🖤💛💖💞💚❣️💓💝💟🤍🤎❤️🔥❤️🩹

6 dollar dress for my daughter. Won a pageant in it.
Your content is so calming and wholesome. It really sets the tone for my weeks and inspires me to be a better mom to my kids!
Jessica, I agree: so calming! And you always have the BEST music Natalie... especially since I'm usually cleaning alongside your videos! 🤎
I have never brought any of my kids a thrifted item of clothing or toys but I used to spend a fortune on kids clothing and they would wear it once or twice then I would donate them so I’m sure there is items for kids at those shops that have barely been worn.

Omg look at Hailey's new glasses!! She must be so excited to get a "big girl" pair. :) Lovely video, as always!
Loved the video and all the treasures you found for your treasures.

Joggers forever no matter the age or gender! 😁 My son calls them “hard pants” too. They’re for going out to dinner, church, and such.
You found great items!!
Hard pants is a term that my son uses as well where do they learn this? 😝
That’s true! I had to remind my 15 year old that we use joggers at home, not to school, the first day of school 😃
My boys still only like joggers. 15,16,18!! 😀
The best thing I've ever found was a nightstand that perfectly matched our room. It was $8, and it's a $500 piece brand new!
I can't wait! This is seriously perfect timing. I said to myself this morning I was going to go through all my kiddos clothes today in order to go to a second-hand sale this weekend for their fall wardrobes!

Hailey can still wear the vb bunny long sleeve shirt in fall, its so adorable, use it as much as you can before they wont fit anymore
I thrift shoes but only if they're in like new condition, or things they don't wear often or for long like snow boots.
Pausing to braid Rapunzel's hair #momlife also Hailey really grew up over summer! Her new glasses make her look older too! So cute!
Favorite thing I have found second hand was Janie and Jack clothing for around $5...SO CUTE and a total score!
🤎 Hi, Natalie. I love your videos! And I love when the kids are around! They are so beautiful! Watching your videos make me feel so relax and motivated! Thank you!

Making the house a home is so important for our families, so thank you for encouraging us to get all ready and cozy for fall! Love your videos🤎
I'm team joggers too. My kids run chunky and the tighter ankles stop them from stepping on the hems when they size up for the fit around the waist.
Love that you got clothing for your kids thrifted :)
I thrifted a short red suede vest that I wore over a long maxi black knit dress. Also a tan suede vest too. I wear plain basic athletic clothes now, nothing fancy.🤎

🤎 I'm so working hard on this back to fall vibe... atm its feels like I don't have ducks, or a row. I have squirrels and they are everywhere
Oh I love osh cosh! They always last so well for me and my kids are tough on clothes, too. And those little girl jeans are so sweet!
I once found a pair of excellent condition Frye boots for FOUR DOLLARS at Goodwill. I resold them on Poshmark for $50!
#backtofall i love thrifting the older style of the lands ends Jersey dress in different patterns for my daughter - they fit great and are really comfy
Oh! I thrifted my absolute favorite cardigan a few years ago and I think it is my most used piece!
I love Monday mornings, I have breakfast watching your video. It's still very hot here, but surely your fall video will be just as good.

LOVE that cute jumper dress you got hailey!
🤎thank you for the #Backtofall motivation. You are such a motivation and blessing!
That shoe organizer is the best thing I've ever seen!!!

I’ve found Free people new with tags and in my size for $10! I have bad luck finding clothes for my teenage son, there is really slim pickings.
Natalie you are such a gentle person/mom… I wish I can be gentle like that. Great thrift finds! Sending 🥰🌷💙
In the South we love the idea of fall and we get the color but the temps aren’t as nice.
hailey's new glasses are SO cute!
Hailey has grown so much since the first time i saw her! I think it was the video of Hailey's first closet declutter 🤎
Thank you for your clean family videos! I love watching you when I can.
🤎 I started watching yesterday, but the day got away from me. #momlife
I’ve been loving the #backtofall series, and I’ve been trying to do some of this before school starts, and we get into my FAVORITE season…fall!
My favorite heart emoji is 💕
What cute clothing selections!
🤎 watching this a week late because getting my me time this past week was a struggle
Zara items tend to be expensive brand new! Finding a thrifted piece from Zara is a total win! Oh and gap too!
Best thing I thrifted was a skirt for my daughter. It was a next brand new with tags that I paid £2.50 for on Ebay and tag said it was £18 when sold in shop. It lasted her for three summers before she out grow it 💕💕
#backtofall My oldest starts preschool next week and it's been so fun putting together his little fall wardrobe! So excited for this series!
The coolest things I have thrifted have been wooden Melissa and Doug toys!
❤ I have many favorite finds from thrift stores, but one find was a Target dress that retailed $30 for $8, but the awesome thing was it was in my size, a color I didnt have, and it's no longer sold in stores so I was super happy to find it!:)
I found the paw Patrol Lookout tower for $2 at goodwill! A steal!!
Perfect timing! My little one and I are going to the thriftshop this afternoon! So excited for Autumn! 🍁❤
Hailey looks just like her dad! And the boys look like Natalie, it's so cute to see!
I feel yah on that meniscus tear 😰 Definitely slows me down some days!
@@OSarahKate it hasn’t been the same since then. So painful some days 😔
They can be thrifted, as you say (most of ours are), and they can be passed on.😊
Yup! Like I said nothing wrong with it, but it’s still good to check in with yourself and teach your ids financial responsibility!
Totally enjoyed your video! My kids are grown so it brought back so many memories! 💞
It was Italian leather and it was a little cracked over the strap but I loved that bag and wore it daily for about 8 years before I dropped it back off at the charity shop I found it at 🥰 Hopefully the person who found it after me enjoyed it just as much as I did 😊
I'm from the Netherlands and my two daughters first shoes were also strite ride. They are rarely here.
🤍🤍🤍I have a two month old little girl and already over shop for her so this was super helpful ! Thanks as always for being such a positive and uplifting corner of the Internet 🥰
