I really enjoyed this vlog if you could show more of your job and teach us a little Japanese if you want I love you video. It feels like I’m traveling through you❤️❤️❤️
My husband and I were supposed to go to Japan for our 10 year anniversary this spring. Thanks to the fantastic way America has handled Covid, we have to postpone our trip.😭 Thank you for giving us a taste of it until we can get there!❤️
To be fair, Japan does not let in any tourists at the moment, so to feel better think: I could not have gone anyway! It's like the glass half empty or half full, the fact is the same, but it fells less bad :D
My favorite part was your friends bakery... they seemed so nice and everything was beautiful..and yummy looking! I would have picked the same xmas cake at 7-11..
I lived in Japan when I was only 4 years old and your videos make me feel so homesick! Even though I was really young Japan holds such a special place in my heart! Thank you for sharing your experience. 🙏🏼
Best thing to start the morning! Eating in Japan looks way better than the US, not only the food (obviously) I love the idea of not tipping because that means the staff actually make a living wage.
I have absolutely fallen in love with all of your Japan vlogs!! We are Japanese-American from Hawaii, and Japan is by far our FAVORITE place to travel! Thank you for giving us our “fix” until we are able to get back there again! Love seeing your journey of experiencing the food, culture, and people! Happy Holidays!! 🎄🎍
I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS CAITLYN!! EVERYTIME I SEE YOUR NOTFICATION POP UP I AUTOMATICALLY CLICK AHHH!! YOUR VIDEOS GIVE ME SO MUCH SEROTONIN AND EXCITEMENT💕💕🥰🥰🥰🥰
I think it's adorable that you got a bit flustered ordering the cake... it's not all perfection in the vlogmasphere, can't wait for you to try that cake!!
“Real cold” ... you are funny. Love Hiroshima style ... so filling and cheap - with beer in my case ... really great you embrace their customs for Christmas ! All the best
Omg 😳 all the food looked so delicious. It’s lunch time here and now I’m starving lol. I couldn’t believe how delicious all the deserts looked. I definitely appreciated were you talked about freezing up on your Japanese because it’s so much work to learn a new language that sometimes I think people forget how much work and hrs you put in to get to the fluency that you are at. Thank you for working so hard on these vlogs. I love seeing so much from Japan 🥰
I have the tendency to love and watch creators and not like or comment something to let them know so I just wanted you to know I’m enjoying this Ja-Vlogmas so so much!!
I went to Japan a few years ago and I would agree with food been affordable. I don't know about getting ingredients at a grocery store to cook at you home but eating out is cheap. I remember eating fast food which was a plate of rice with meat and vegetables for like $5. Cheaper and healthier than eating in McDonalds in the US. Also, everything is delicious!! Which is awesome if you are a tourist. Hotels were cheap too, basic room for $50 per night. Attractions are expensive, like getting into a castle or temple but totally worth it.
I love your videos and your personality ! my husband and I were only in Japan for 12 hours on a layover back in 2017 ! I purposely booked a layover there vs china so we could get out and explore before heading home (US) from Thailand ! we cannot wait to go back and try more foods, explore, and go to an onsen !
Thank you so much for making these fun and informational videos on Japan! I’m going with my grandma in 2022 and feel much more excited and confident after finding your channel❤️❤️❤️
You asked what is my favourite part" YOUU are my favourite from the whole video! The Christmas cake from 7/11 comes close second! I asked my baker friend to bake me one similar it tempted me so much!!!
Those cakes look so yummy! And your friends store is so cute, it’s amazing they’ve kept it in the family for so long ✨ P.s i studied french for about 7 years, and still experienced stage fright when I went to france. It happens, nerves get you stuck but it’s all in continuing to practice and reminding yourself it’s normal to get stuck 🤗

Im a potato brain.☠🤦🏽♂️😭😅 Do you practice Aizuchi yet in your conversations? I really urge you to implement it in your English when asking questions to Japanese. 🙏🏽 But yaaaaaaaasssssss, i lovvvvvvve these intimate vlogs. Thanks for being vulnerable and sharing these wonderful moments with friends and your しゅしん/"hometown" gurrrrrrrrl.
@@heratlas watching with my cat and drinking coco 😍 she liked it when you were standing in the sun and jumped on the tv that moment 😂😂 thank you once again for an awesome video and Happy Holidays 😍
Your vlogs are the ones I most look forward to each week! Absolutely love to learn about your life in Japan and makes me want to travel there even more💓
I'm a new subscriber. I really enjoy all your videos! I love Japan 7-11's....can't wait to come back after Covid. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
7-11 is absolutely insane! Living in the uk and 7-11 in Japan looks like it does better food than our poshest supermarkets, which is bonkers. I love how amazing Japanese food looks, the variety and the availability of healthier food out and about, it's waaaaay better than the UK. Really loved this vlog, it was super fun, food and friends 😊🎄
Did you have any luck ordering from KFC? I understand that you need a reservation just to order! Love what you have to share all the time. Have a very Merry Christmas!
I have a very good friend who is from Japan and when Covid restrictions are lifted, we totally are going! Gonna make that happen. And I LOVE okonimiyaki!!
Wow,the 7/11 cakes and food looks so delicious!! Can’t wait to go to Japan and try it myself ✌🏻 I watch all your videos and I noticed that most of the dishes are made with meat or fish, but I haven’t seen lots of vegetarian options. Is it hard to find vegetarian dishes in Japan?
All the food looks delicious! The cafe, restaurant and the french restaurant all look amazing! I hope we can some time travel again so I can taste this amazing food! This video made me hungry so I'm going to get some swedish fika ❤️😊 Have u tried/heard of Julmust btw? It's an christmas soda that tastes a little bit like coke (it looks like coke). It's a little bit spicy (not like food spicy but with a lot of spices) and it taste really good!
You can actually find Eminems in Japan :D I see it all the time in my area but maybe since you are more in the countryside you can't easily. I find them at gyomu and daiso, and also see them at the international food stores that are chains in Japan! Maybe Kaldi has them too but not sure about that one. Again though not sure what chains you have around you. They are smaller packets of Eminems though of course haha. Also I'm jealous of how cheap food is in your area. Eating out here in Yokohama/ Tokyo area is definitely more expensive even the drinks. No tipping is great though :D Your okonomiyaki makes me want to go get some now!
Try to find a Kaldi's or Jupiter store, they specialize in international foods. Don Quijote and Yamaya also sell foreign candies and snacks. Just a tip, try to switch your thinking. If you want to use Japanese think in Japanese, if you keep trying to translate words in your head, it slows things down looking for words or your brain just shuts off.
We left there back in 2017. Kuishinbo is one of my favorite okonomiyaki restaurants as I am originally from Hiroshima and can’t live without okonomiyaki. I even make my own here in stateside. I found your UA-cam through Kuni cravings group. I’m really happy to see you enjoy all the goodies out there and thank you for posting them:)
Missing Japan and truly love it there we still have tons of friends from Yokosuka, Yokohama, Negishi, Atsugi, Iwakuni, Hiroshima, Tokyo, Tachikawa , Sapporo, Osaka, Nagoya, Harone and etc etc missing the Onsen, hair spa, and a lot more. You get M&M at the commisary ( US BASES) love your clogs I am a new subscriber. Arigato Gusamazu.
Omg that food looks so good. I always dream of visiting Japan. I don’t eat pork or seafood, so my #1 worries is the food there and of course not offending anyone with how picky I am.
Yes, and the quality of the pork belly, eggs, sauce is way beyond the "regular" places in the US (when you can find a okonomiyaki place). BTW. I only know of a handful of Hiroshima style places in the US.
hiii, would you like to do something that hasn't been done by a lot of people before like showing us vegan/vegetarian food in japan, i think that would be interesting AND challenging, I'm really curious if there are stuff like that in japan! thank you!!!
Japan doesn't have peppermint candy because its usually a medicinal taste for them. I gave a Japanese friend a candy cane and they were very confused and grossed out lol
I wish 7 11 in California was so epic. 😭 It's all processed junk that is often expired and rediculously over priced. Though they do finally have 711 brand snacks so maybe those on top of TJ and Wholefoods would make good omiyage?
Caitlyn, no big deal but the stuff you bring to people's home is called temiyage, and not omiyage. And strangely enough when you give it to them, you don't tell them it is temiyage. You just give it to them and tell them it's nothing. You know what i mean, japanese modesty. Also if you get a drink in the restaurant here in tokyo it will not be two dollars more like five or more so you are lucky!
YES ANOTHER FOOD VLOG!!! Happy Sunday morning to most of you
