I just enjoyed the people of hots more than LoL, in both games i'm really not good but it seems like nobody was concerned about having fun in LoL but instead being toxic.
League: -Matches take forever (losing is twice as demoralizing because you wasted an hour of your life) -90% of the game is wave management and killing minions efficiently (boring as fuck) -Hundreds of tiny details to keep track of (damn near impossible to get into as a new player, with all the debuffs, abilities, totems, monsters in the jungle, tower buffs for extra gold, etc. all going on at the same time WHILE I'm trying to figure out how to manage my waves better than the guy across from me) -Comebacks are harder, small mistakes in the beginning can snowball to a super one-sided match in the end. -Same map over and over HoTS: -Games are much quicker, including faster action and more team fights -Minion management is simpler, to allow me to focus on other things like maybe actually fighting another player -No complicated buy menu filled with tons of items to memorize the stats of, just a simple ability system, much more intuitive, and allows you to adapt mid match depending on the opponent -Matches are less one-sided and comebacks are easier -Different maps with unique objectives Am I missing something or is League just a pile of dogshit compared to HoTS. And don't even get me started on DOTA, I've heard it's supposed to be even harder to get into than League. Why are League and DOTA this popular. I've been watching videos on Smite and HoTS and they just look infinitely more engaging, intense, and simple. Somebody who enjoys League or DOTA please tell me why you prefer it?
It's due to organization. When you start a league game you know exactly what you have to do, what are your win conditions and who you'll have to face to get to them. Farming is a thing that I consider boring too, but lanes are also an opportunity to get an advantage over an opponent before the team fights starts: it then becomes a game in two phases, laning phase and teamfighting phase. In Hots, however, it's not possible to stay in lane, because objectives are to be contested: this results in far more teamfights which on paper is great, but in practice it becomes stale and frustrating pretty fast when you're playng with other 4 strangers.
Hey man. League is effectively closing for my friends and me now and at the start of this year we started playing HotS. We love old Blizzard stuff, moreso them than me. But Garen gave me everything to build myself off of as a younger guy. Your points about characters being fun to play and forced meta, reworks being a roundabout way to remove a champion and all that is a done deal among us but it's still great to hear from someone else. We love playing HotS because it just reminds us of old League where we could just play guys we found fun and stomp on idiots. Love WoW wpvp, love hammers and I love spinning. Arthas, Uther, old Taric and Garen are guys that I love to bring into fights. Good video.
You mean like raynor, azmo, artanis? I like them for the most part cause imo raynor has been brought down enough to where he's not blatantly overpowered, and artanis is better, but not insane. azmo is the worst though, he promotes a toxic playstyle which is sieging from 2 screens away. definitely more good than bad though
Wingsaber I meant more like Raynor getting an E ability and Diablo having his W changed, and also Azmos ultimate change. Azmos ult change made me upset at first but I u sets tans why they did it, the other 2 seemed like necessary changes. Even though Raynors whole talent list has changed his core style remains the same as oppose to Atrox
Well raynor had a talent before that let his e ability be an activate, its just baseline now! Diablo w changed yeah but his playstyle is the same and you can go more than one build path, unlike before. Azmos ult change isnt even that much of a change, its just black pool only on your q. yeah I like how the reworks were done cause there were changes that needed to be made, but the identity of the hero remains the same.
The Aatrox comparison isn't really a fair point, Moba's are ever changing, they always will be. Not gonna say your point isn't valid, as I enjoy both games, but it's just the nature of the genre.
i am bit late but i think every champion should be viable for pro play and game itself should be more competitive but their matchmaking system needs rework cause it is stupid that a man who is playing for 8 years now shouldn't be matched with noob who just got level 30 and thinks that trinkets cost per charge... I mean yes i am in that rank but if a system sees improvement in stats alone i should be gertting more skilled players to play with and against... I odnt care about my rank but i want quality gameplay experience not some 8 y old zed dying to janna supp while being three levels ahead of her...
In a perfect world every champion would be competitively viable yes, but the reality stands that competitive in league only really rotates like 20-30 champs if even, with some pocket picks ofc. I don't really have an issue with the matchmaking tbh, it just sucks when you lose cause your worst teammate is feeding out of their minds despite you doing well.
In any moba your going to have top picks.... due to abilities.. and CD's. And then off meta picks are destroyed when the team does not know how to play off meta and destroy team comp picking useless heroes causing the enemy to snow ball your lanes and get ahead because your trash picks dont synergize with eachother. Its like dumb asses think you need an ADC as carry every game but in reality you just need someone to know fuck team comp. Oh you wanna go mele carry this game.. ok your support better not be dumb, and it better pick the opposite of you. SO if your physical mele they go range mage or if you go mage mele they go range physical. IN a perfect world your solo laner would always let the enemy just have solo while you all group up on some objective. In reality your solo does and your dumb ass team doesnt group up or instead like dumb asses tries to hold the solo when the whole enemy team is in duo and just wiped your duo lane now they get to take duo and solo and mid because your all to spread out instead of giving the enemy something to take the enemy is now going to take everything because you tried to defend everything in a piss poor way. Its easier to defend everything if you constantly give the enemy something to have. Focus mid and duo and ignore solo. If your solo is smart it will leave its lane and go mid or duo and defend solo when it has no other choice. otherwise you make it hard to predict where the enemy will always be giving them tons of ganking opportunities while you play the guessing game of which lane they wanna take. You can easily tell if your team sucks within a few min of a moba.. by what your mid and solo does... do they rotate out of their lane? or does duo constantly push and never gank mid? surrender dont carry trash.... no one wants them to be carried up the leader-board to ruin someone else's game.
LOL is like the child version of a moba. rated E for everyone..... Heroes of the storm is another top down moba a bit more mature... better mechanics, more maps overall better experience at higher levels of play. Smite is your third person child moba like lol which is mainly dominated by the casual learner experience not many veteran moba players mainly due to the third person aspect. Still good moba but plagued by trash noobs without a sense for how mobas work and just play it like its fort-nite.
I just enjoyed the people of hots more than LoL, in both games i'm really not good but it seems like nobody was concerned about having fun in LoL but instead being toxic.
yes i agree with you, eventually the toxicity in LoL became numb to me but i understand why that would drive people away
I absolutely love Heroes of the Storm. Everything about the game I love and I recommend it to everyone. Much love HotS community

Matches take foreve wtf match now end in 20 min :D bcs all champ have absurd dmg
I have 2 say sunk cost fallacy and the potential 2 1v9 every 20 games that keeps people in these legacy games.

I tried to get into lol for 4 weeks now after playing hots since beta. Holy fck, league sucks
yep unplayable and an absolute disgusting community
i have never met such vile people like in lol
@@JiYeonKimFan Yes, i started hots yesterday, how toxic is the community? I get flamed every game. Dont be delusional both games are toxic as hell.
A bit late but what do you think about the recent HoTS character reworks?
You mean like raynor, azmo, artanis? Hero reworks happen in Hots also. A lot of people were upset when Tassadar was changed from support to assassin.

Sounds like skull issue
I more like HOTS, because LUNARA
yes hots ftw
Punctuation
And its fcking tf where you can outplay someone ... not like in lol when tf win team who go in first
increase your volume jesus christ i can't hear
System volume 54% YT volume 25% and he sounds just fine....
i think it's his way of speaking, he doesn't pronounce words fully (I understood it all but noticed some times he rushed through sentences)
If you play hots and were playing league youll be really better than everyone else but will lose because hots is for smooth brains
Smite and lol is better
