I have a 2 1/2 qt. And use it for so much wether making macaroni and cheese for the kids, oatmeal, boiling eggs. It’s used almost every day really. Everyone talks about the Dutch ovens but the smaller pots are so useful for every day use. For me anyways. Thanks for sharing your favorites. It’s fun to see what pieces everyone uses most.
The Le Creuset 3.5 quart Signature Sauteuse oven is on sale for $199.95 at Crate & Barrel in all colors. Also the 6.5 quart is on sale too. I just got the 3.5 at the store, and free shipping.
This was so helpful. Just purchased my first LC, the 3.5 braiser and worried I had made a mistake but I think I will use it a lot. I live alone and don't entertain all that much but was so fed up with my cheap cookware! Time to treat myself. One of the smaller size Dutch ovens are next on my list.
I am so glad it was helpful! I bought the 3.5 qt braiser first as well and it does a great job and is a good size for everyday cooking for sure. Happy Cooking!!
I like my brazier, although it’s not so great for searing, in my opinion, compared to my other Le Creuset fry pan that has the black enamel finish. That surface seems to sear better, in my opinion.
I just found the 5qt braiser at a discount store. It is quite large. I have yet to cook in it. My question is: Most recipes calls for a 12 inch pan. Does it matter if I cook same recipe in a 13 inch? It is 20% larger.
Absolutely, you can use the 5qt braiser, You would just have a bit of space but the recipe should come out the same if you are using the same measurements. Congratulations on the great find!!!
Hi, if I were to buy just one - can you let me know which I should get essential oven, the French oven or braised. I'm still unsure to the differences. Thanks.
Hi Mary! Awesome question! I might just use this question as the basis for another video, so thank you again. If I am looking only to purchase one I would start first by using the process of elimination and that would be the French Oven/Soup Pot. First it is a smaller pot, mostly used for soups and cooking side dishes like rice and things along those lines and if I am only purchasing one I would like it to be a bit more versatile. The braiser is my personal favorite; however if I could only purchase one this would not be the one. Simply because it is great for sautés, braising meats and it has low sides to allow you to get to all sides of the dish being created, but I am looking for versatility so If I could only purchase one I item it would be the Essential oven. This is because it is multifaceted. I can use it to make a spaghetti sauce, bake bread, soups, chilis, curries and so much more. if I needed to make a stew starting with the meat first I could do this as well. I can use it for just about anything. Currently, it is on sale as well so another plus. You can find it both on the Williams-Sonoma and Le Creuset sites. I hope this was helpful.
You are so sweet, your voice is calming , and very soothing. If I may, try to take a 101 Speech class. You will be able to improve and direct your videos in a more professional way - of course, if you want. . Again, your voice is so calming, it “goes” straight to the heart.
Hi Aisha! The sauteuse is one of my most used as well. The French oven is slightly smaller than the sauteuse. I use it alot for making rice and any other grain. Thank you for watching!

Hi Anna, the smaller ones are my favorite because they are so much more versatile than the larger dutch ovens. Thank you for watching!!

I still can't hear you. You really need to get an external microphone to speak into or you are wasting your time.
I’m not sure why you can’t hear her. I hear her just fine
I couldn’t hear her either 😢
