Glad to see you’re ok and Le Creuset survived the fall!! My ac stopped working on the freeway last Thursday and it caused me an excruciating migraine for 3 days straight. Be careful out there.

Girl the Migrane that came with this was absolutely, incredibly, painful....I nicknamed it the BEAST....I had no other way of explaining how bad it was! So glad your migraine went away!

I'm so glad that you are healing and feeling better, that had to e a scary experience. Your beautiful pot now has it's own story to tell, yep...keep it, gift it or donate it ut definitely replace when you can. :)

Thank you @djl! It was a very scary experience for sure. When I have enough energy I will definitely start looking at what to replace it with, but I will keep it for the memories, lol

I hope you get well soon, heat exhaustion is no fun, and this heat wave has been brutal. That said, I lay my pots out, and my husband stacks. ( I do stack plates, etc,. if the dishwasher is full and I'm washing extra). . I do allow him to wash some of my pots, mostly the larger ones, when I have had a rough day and have no spoons left, (because I can and have dropped them into the sink because I get so weak), but I stand right there with a drying towel and I dry them. The only one he is allowed to stack/do what he wishes with is the 12" skillet, as it has just become too heavy for me and he uses it most anyway, so it's his now. He abuses the poor thing but oh well lol! As for replacement, you have two essential ovens, right? I dont' know what but I'd be tempted to get something I didn't have yet, unless you use both constantly.

This heatwave has been horrific! I have not experienced this level of heat in North Carolina before and I think I totally underestimated how bad it was at first and just got way behind on hydrating and resting. I was thinking about replacing it with another round wide dutch oven....of late it has been my go to dutch oven to use.

@@karenandmaya8329 yeah, as much as you use yours, that would be a good choice! Sadly, I' am going to try and sell my wide round locally if I can. It's just too heavy for me. I hope you are feeling better today!

@@raggsj38 I still moving pretty slow, but I am doing much better today, thank you for asking. Oh No, but you are right the round wide is quite heavy. I have to lift it with both hands, but I know your wide round dutch will sell quickly!

Oh no! This heat is no joke! Glad you're feeling better! Take care!
I wonder, was there any damage to your floor?

Hi Tiarra! Thankfully no damage to the floor. The hubster was worried about that too, lol!

Le Creuset has the Essential Oven (Sauteuse?) for $200 (Reg $350) and Nectar is available. (as is peach which looks very tempting) But why replace it at all if the damage is on the exterior? Glad you are doing better. We're roasting with triple digit heat in the SouthWest USA.

Thank you for the encouragement! Yep, I agree with you. I don't think I will replace it, I will definitely still use it. I think sometimes when there are a few dings it makes it easier to use; like my family won't feel they have to be so delicate with it, LOL. I have another essential oven (I bought two by accident because I got confused about the names, lol)
I am thinking about getting one more piece now only because the hubster feels so bad about dropping it and I want to avoid him just picking a random Le Creuset item, LOL!
I don't know how to deal with 90 degree weather, let alone triple digits, lol. How do you all do it in the southwest????!!!

Karen!!! Please feel better. Now the pot has some character! haha! That pot is made to take a beating (literally). Your health is more important than that pot. However, hubby owes you! haha!!!
